Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing attention to the effectiveness of guidance and counseling services that apply the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) approach, as well as the need to map the development and research trends related to this approach in the context of education and mental health. The aim of this research is to analyze publication trends, keywords, and scientific collaboration in studies on SFBT using a bibliometric approach. The method employed is bibliometric analysis of articles published between 2010 and 2024, using VOSviewer software. The analysis results indicate a significant increase in the number of publications on SFBT, with dominant themes including school counseling, mental health, youth interventions, and the effectiveness of short-term therapy. Keyword clustering reveals strong interconnections among various research topics, indicating that the SFBT approach is developing consistently within academic and practical domains. The study concludes that SFBT is a theoretically grounded and practically applicable counseling approach across diverse contexts. The implications of this research provide a strategic foundation for academics, practitioners, and researchers to develop more focused research directions and expand the application of SFBT in professional guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of enhancing employee productivity in governmental institutions through extra-role behavior, or Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), which has yet to be fully optimized. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of OCB on the work productivity of employees at the Regional Secretariat of Bukittinggi City. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed. The population consisted of 101 civil servants (ASN) and government employees under contract (P3K), with a sample of 80 respondents determined using Slovin’s formula and selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire based on a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The instrument’s validity and reliability were tested using item-total correlation and Cronbach’s Alpha. Analytical techniques included descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests (normality and linearity), and simple linear regression. The results showed that employee OCB levels were categorized as high, and work productivity was considered good. A positive and significant influence was found between OCB and work productivity, indicating that the higher the OCB, the greater the employee productivity. These findings underscore the vital role of OCB in improving public sector employee performance. This study contributes to the development of organizational behavior research and recommends further exploration of additional variables such as motivation or organizational culture to enrich future analyses.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of instructional media in the form of infographics to enhance students’ analytical skills in understanding change and continuity in historical events. The research is motivated by the limited use of technology-based media in history education and the low level of students’ historical analysis skills. The aim of this study is to design, develop, and assess the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of infographic media for history learning at SMK Kartika 1-2 Padang. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study involved 39 eleventh-grade students. Validation results from subject matter and media experts indicated that the developed infographics are highly feasible for use, with scores of 3.88 and 3.67, respectively. Practicality tests showed high scores from both students (3.68) and the teacher (3.44), suggesting that the media are highly practical in implementation. Effectiveness tests also yielded positive results, with scores of 3.72 from students and 3.29 from the teacher. These findings demonstrate that the developed infographic media are effective in improving students’ analytical abilities regarding change and continuity in historical events and can serve as an innovative alternative to support technology-integrated history learning.

Abstract

This study aims to adapt and conduct an initial validation of the Indonesian version of the Basic Needs in Games Scale (BANGS), a psychometric instrument based on Self-Determination Theory (SDT) that measures two core dimensions in the gaming context: satisfaction and frustration of basic psychological needs. The adaptation process involved forward-backward translation and expert evaluation to ensure cultural relevance. Data were collected from 300 active online game players in Indonesia. Construct validity was assessed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). EFA identified two factors, Need Satisfaction and Need Frustration that accounted for 56.5% of the total variance, with high factor loadings and no cross-loadings. CFA results indicated a good model fit (CFI = 0.951; TLI = 0.944; RMSEA = 0.068; SRMR = 0.055), with all indicators showing significant loadings on their respective factors. These findings confirm that the Indonesian version of the BANGS has adequate psychometric validity and can be reliably used to assess psychological need experiences in gaming activities, while also contributing to cross-cultural research and the development of digital context-based interventions.

Abstract

The main issue addressed in this study is the low learning outcomes of Class VIII H students at SMPN 3 Jombang in the 2024/2025 academic year in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI), primarily due to the dominance of lecture-based, teacher-centered methods that hinder active student participation in the learning process. This study aims to improve learning outcomes through the implementation of a constructivist teaching method based on problem-based learning (PBL). The approach used is Classroom Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) conducted in three stages: pre-test, implementation of the constructivist method, and post-test, involving 32 students as subjects. The results show a significant increase in learning mastery, from 69% of students achieving scores above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal/KKM) with an average score of 87.18 in the pre-test, to 97% in the post-test with an average score of 92.37. This improvement reflects the effectiveness of the constructivist method in fostering understanding and active student engagement in PAI learning. The study implies that integrating a constructivist, problem-based learning model into PAI instructional strategies can enhance student learning outcomes and promote more meaningful and contextual learning experiences.

Abstract

Cuko Beach in Kaur Regency is a local tourism destination with high natural potential that has not yet been optimally utilized. In the context of tourism sector growth in Indonesia, it is essential to formulate a development strategy based on a comprehensive analysis of the destination’s conditions. This study aims to analyze the development strategy of Cuko Beach using a descriptive qualitative approach through SWOT analysis. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the village head, fishermen, visitors, and local residents, as well as field documentation. The analysis involved identifying internal factors such as strengths and weaknesses, along with external factors including opportunities and threats. The findings reveal that the main strengths of Cuko Beach lie in its scenic coastal landscape, unique rock formations, and ecotourism potential. However, significant weaknesses include limited supporting tourism facilities, low levels of community participation, and inadequate access infrastructure. There are considerable opportunities for local economic development through marine and culinary tourism, although threats such as environmental degradation and competition from nearby destinations remain challenges. The study concludes that the development strategy for Cuko Beach must be holistic and sustainable, emphasizing community involvement, infrastructure improvement, and environmental conservation. These findings contribute to the academic discourse on sustainable tourism development and may serve as a reference for local destination management policy formulation.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental factor in national development, and teacher performance is a key element in improving the quality of both the educational process and outcomes. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership strategy and human resource quality management on teacher performance at MTs Negeri 13 Jombang, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach with an ex post facto design was employed, involving 32 teachers as respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire with 30 statement items, and data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both leadership strategy and human resource quality management have a significant partial effect on teacher performance, with significance values below 0.005. Simultaneously, the two variables also have a significant influence, as shown by an F value exceeding the critical F table value. These findings suggest that teacher performance is strongly influenced by the effectiveness of the head of madrasah’s leadership strategy and the proper implementation of human resource quality management. The implications of this study emphasize the need to strengthen leadership capacity and human resource management systems within madrasah settings to support sustainable improvements in educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the factors influencing adolescent mental health in Kota Mataram, focusing on access to mental health services and the influence of local culture, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of intervention programs such as school-based mental health initiatives and community awareness campaigns tailored to adolescent needs. A qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was employed. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving health cadres from community health centers (puskesmas), members of the Child Protection Agency (Lembaga Perlindungan Anak or LPA), and the Kota Mataram Children’s Council Team (Tim Dewan Anak). The study is grounded in the urgency of mental health as an integral component of adolescent development and seeks to present a comprehensive overview of causal factors, access barriers, and efforts undertaken by local stakeholders. In addition to identifying risk factors, the research examines contextually relevant intervention strategies to support adolescent mental health. Data analysis was conducted using Constant Comparative Data Analysis, which includes data reduction, presentation, and verification, applying both deductive and inductive approaches simultaneously to produce valid and in-depth results. The findings are expected to contribute meaningfully to the development of responsive mental health policies in Kota Mataram and to support the implementation of adaptive intervention programs in educational and community settings.

Abstract

Effective information retrieval is an essential skill for library users in the digital era; however, a gap remains in the optimal utilization of library services. This study aims to analyze the influence of user education on information retrieval skills at the Public Library of Kota Payakumbuh. Employing a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and literature review from 63 respondents selected via simple random sampling. The primary instrument, a questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability using SPSS version 25. Data analysis included editing, tabulation, descriptive analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results show that user education is in the good category with an average score of 3.06, reflecting adequate understanding of library services, including OPAC use and reference services. Meanwhile, information retrieval ability is categorized as very good, with an average score of 3.36, indicating users’ proficiency in identifying credible sources, evaluating information relevance, and utilizing various sources effectively. These findings confirm that user education positively influences information retrieval ability. The practical implications highlight the importance of strengthening information literacy programs to enhance library service effectiveness and promote user independence in accessing information.

Abstract

The low level of student discipline manifested in behaviors such as tardiness, disorderliness, and lack of academic responsibility remains a challenge in many schools, including SMA Islam Parlaungan Waru Sidoarjo. This study aims to examine the implementation of the logical consequences approach as an educational strategy for instilling discipline and building character. A qualitative case study method was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that logical consequences were applied through reflective activities such as self-evaluation writing, recitation of Qur’anic verses, and discussions on accountability for one’s actions. This approach does not focus on punishment, but rather on cultivating an understanding of values and the impact of one’s behavior. As a result, students began to demonstrate increased awareness and positive behavioral change. The success of this strategy was supported by active teacher involvement, principal support, and parent collaboration. However, challenges persist, including uneven teacher comprehension of the logical consequences concept and the lengthy process required for value internalization. In conclusion, logical consequences offer an effective alternative disciplinary strategy by emphasizing a participatory approach and character formation. The findings imply the importance of developing a value- and logic-based disciplinary system to foster a positive and transformative learning environment.
