Abstract

This research problem arises from the importance of understanding Ibn Khaldun’s thought on price and its relevance to the current price-setting policies of the Indonesian government. This study aims to analyze the conformity of government pricing policies with Ibn Khaldun’s thought and to identify their impact on economic stability and public welfare. This study employed a qualitative method with a library research approach. The data used were secondary data derived from books, journals, scientific articles, research reports, and relevant classical literature. Data collection was carried out through the stages of topic identification, searching, selection, reading, and literature analysis, while data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis and content analysis to interpret the data systematically. The results show that the Indonesian government’s pricing policy is indirect and corrective in nature, so that it does not eliminate the market mechanism. This policy is in line with Ibn Khaldun’s thought, which emphasizes the importance of the state’s role in maintaining economic balance, protecting society, and creating justice without restricting the freedom of economic activity. These findings affirm that government intervention in price-setting can be understood as an effort to maintain economic stability and public welfare while remaining within the framework of economic justice.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of Islamic financial literacy among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the gap between conventional financial institutions and Islamic financial institutions, and the limited understanding of MSMEs regarding sharia-based financial aspects. This study aims to identify strategies to improve MSME actors’ understanding of Islamic finance as an effort to enhance MSME performance in Rondaman Village. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with SWOT analysis as the data analysis technique. The results showed that improving Islamic financial literacy in enhancing MSME performance in Rondaman Village, North Padang Lawas Regency, can be carried out through the implementation of the SO (Strength–Opportunity) strategy, namely by utilizing the Muslim-majority population to strengthen Islamic financial institutions, increasing MSME actors’ understanding of riba, developing businesses based on sharia principles, and optimizing the use of access to information. These findings affirm that strengthening Islamic financial literacy is an important strategy in supporting the development of MSME performance based on sharia principles.

Abstract

The management of Village Fund Allocation (ADD) requires the adequate implementation of accountability, but at the nagari level, problems are still found in the form of discrepancies in budget realization, increasing SILPA, and low Village Own-Source Revenue (PAD). This study aims to analyze the implementation of accountability in the management of ADD in Nagari Sarilamak based on five indicators of village financial management, namely planning, implementation, administration, reporting, and accountability, as well as to identify the constraints in its implementation. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature study. The research informants consisted of the wali nagari, nagari officials, and the community. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the principle of accountability had been implemented, but not yet optimally. At the planning stage, the process had been carried out through tiered deliberation, although two-way communication was still limited. At the implementation stage, activities had involved the community, but often experienced delays that affected the emergence of SILPA. At the administration stage, management had utilized the SISKEUDES application, but was still constrained by network problems and low PAD. Meanwhile, reporting and accountability had been carried out in accordance with the provisions, but were often hindered by regulatory changes. These findings indicate that the management of ADD in Nagari Sarilamak has reflected transparency and participation, but still requires improved efficiency, strengthened PAD, and better communication and public oversight so that accountability in village financial management can be implemented more optimally.

Abstract

Studies on the application of the Market Place Activity (MPA) model in teaching Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at the Madrasah Aliyah level remain limited, as does in-depth exploration of students’ responses to this model in the context of Islamic history. This study aims to analyze the process of implementing the MPA model at MAN 2 Kebumen and its impact on the cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions of students’ responses. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving the SKI teacher, the vice principal for curriculum, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the MPA model was carried out systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. This model helped students master the material in the cognitive dimension, increased enthusiasm and communication skills in the affective dimension, and demonstrated the effectiveness of process evaluation through non-test techniques in monitoring student engagement and oral mastery of the material, although the aspect of written assessment still requires optimization. These findings indicate that the MPA model is a strategic alternative for modernizing SKI instruction, which has thus far been dominated by the lecture method, while also providing a theoretical contribution to the development of Islamic pedagogy literature and practical implications for educational institutions in strengthening more active history learning.

Abstract

Work Life Balance and Work Compliance have received attention in several previous studies, but research that specifically discusses the integration of these two variables in improving employee performance in Islamic banking remains limited. This study aims to analyze the role of Work Life Balance and Work Compliance in improving employee performance at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Bukittinggi Pasar Aur. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving five participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that employees’ Work Life Balance was generally in a fairly balanced condition, although in certain positions imbalance was still found due to work demands and targets that had to be achieved. Work Compliance had also generally been implemented well, although violations by certain employees were still found. Overall, employee performance was in the fairly good category, as reflected in work quality, work quantity, timeliness, commitment, and work initiative. These findings indicate that work-life balance and work compliance play an important role in supporting the improvement of employee performance, while also providing theoretical and practical contributions to the development of human resource management in the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

Although numeracy learning in elementary schools has received attention in various studies, research that specifically discusses the development of a meaningful numeracy learning model based on mind mapping visualization remains limited. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a mind mapping-based meaningful numeracy learning model in improving elementary school students’ numeracy skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with a Research and Development (R&D) design, involving 30 fifth-grade students of SDN 15 Bonto Jai, Pangkep Regency, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, learning outcome tests, observation, and interviews, and were then analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques and the N-gain test. The results showed that the developed model obtained an average score of 3.72 and was categorized as very valid. The practicality test based on teacher and student responses reached 88.5%, which fell into the very practical category. In addition, the effectiveness test showed an improvement in students’ numeracy skills, with an average N-gain score of 0.68, which was in the moderate-to-high category. These findings indicate that the mind mapping visualization-based learning model is effective in helping students understand mathematical concepts in a more structured, systematic, and meaningful manner. The conclusion of this study affirms the importance of integrating visual media into numeracy learning as an innovative alternative for improving elementary school students’ numeracy skills, while also providing a theoretical contribution to the development of visual-based mathematics learning.

Abstract

Although the application of Islamic economic principles in the promotion strategy of hijab products has received attention in several studies, research that specifically discusses the implementation of sharia values such as shiddiq, amanah, justice, and openness in promotional practices in microenterprises remains limited. This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic economic principles in promotional strategies and their relationship with increased sales at Toko Annisa Kerudung in Pasar Aur Bukittinggi. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving informants consisting of the store owner and employees selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that the promotional strategy implemented included the promotion mix in the form of advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, and public relations. The application of Islamic economic principles has been carried out in several aspects, particularly through the delivery of honest and transparent product information to consumers. However, the implementation of these values has not been fully optimal because promotional approaches oriented toward hard selling are still found and have not fully integrated educational values in Muslim women’s dress. In addition, sales data fluctuating from year to year indicate that promotional effectiveness is determined not only by the intensity of promotional activities, but also by the quality of the values conveyed in marketing communication. These findings contribute to the development of sharia marketing theory by strengthening the integration between the promotion mix concept and Islamic economic principles and broadening understanding of the importance of the ethical dimension in marketing activities. The conclusion of this study confirms that the consistent application of the values of honesty, amanah, and justice in promotional strategies is important for increasing consumer trust and loyalty in the context of Muslim fashion businesses. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the enrichment of the value-based sharia marketing literature and practical implications for microenterprise actors in designing promotional strategies that are more effective, ethical, and sustainable.

Abstract

Although loose parts-based learning has increasingly received attention in early childhood education, studies that specifically examine its implementation in relation to the cognitive development of children within particular early childhood education institutions remain relevant to be developed. This study aims to analyze the implementation of loose parts-based learning on the cognitive development of early childhood children at KB Pelangi Harapan. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation, with the research subjects including teachers and students at KB Pelangi Harapan. The findings showed that loose parts-based learning was able to stimulate children’s cognitive development, particularly in recognizing the shapes and sizes of objects, grouping objects, counting simple quantities of objects, and arranging various objects into certain forms according to the children’s imagination. In addition, play activities using loose parts also increased children’s activeness, creativity, and ability to solve simple problems. The teacher’s role as a facilitator in providing learning materials and giving guidance during play activities also became an important factor in supporting successful learning. The conclusion of this study confirms that loose parts-based learning is an effective strategy for supporting the cognitive development of early childhood children and strengthening play-based learning practices in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

The practice of buying and selling plantation commodities at the community level still presents problems related to honesty, fairness in weighing, and price transparency. Studies that specifically discuss sack-based areca nut transactions from the perspective of Islamic economics remain limited, particularly in the context of the community of Tungkal I Village, Tungkal Ilir Subdistrict. This study aims to analyze the process of sack-based areca nut buying and selling and to examine its conformity with the principles of Islamic economics. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research informants consisted of areca nut sellers, toke, and religious figures selected through the snowball sampling technique. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that sack-based areca nut transactions are conducted using manual platform scales and hanging scales. Before the transaction takes place, sellers and toke generally understand the mechanisms of weighing and price determination. However, this practice still contains several problems, such as sellers mixing weight-increasing materials, including stones, soil, and twigs, into sacks of areca nuts, as well as the rounding of weights by toke when the weight of the areca nuts does not reach a certain threshold. These findings indicate that the practice of sack-based areca nut buying and selling is not yet fully consistent with the principles of fairness, honesty, mutual consent, and accuracy in measurement in Islamic economics. This study contributes to enriching the study of fiqh muamalah concerning sack-based local commodity transactions and emphasizes the importance of a more transparent, fair, and mutually beneficial buying and selling system for both sellers and buyers.
