Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who work abroad often receive bad treatment such as violence and neglect, both during pre-deployment and during placement. With the emergence of various problems regarding the protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), in 2017 the government issued Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers. This Law explains that there are three forms of protection for prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) or Indonesian Migrant Workers, namely Protection before work, Protection during work, and Protection after work. This research was carried out in order to measure and assess the success of implementing the Indonesian Migrant Worker protection policy at the Bojonegoro Industry and Manpower Service. The problem formulation drawn from the background is how to implement the Indonesian Migrant Worker protection policy in Bojonegoro Regency. This research uses George C. Edward III's theory which focuses on four indicators, namely Communication, Resources, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, and the technique for determining informants uses a purposive sampling technique. To collect data, the author used interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that based on George C. Edward III's theory, the protection policy for Indonesian Migrant Workers in Bojonegoro Regency has not been implemented as it should be. Protection before work, during work, and after work or after work has not been implemented at the Bojonegoro Industry and Manpower Service. This is proven by the existence of several deviations from communication factors and funding source factors which make the implementation of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection policy carried out by the Bojonegoro Regency Industry and Manpower Service unable to run well.

Abstract

This paper discusses the war against drugs in China – from historical Opium Wars to contemporary issues with synthetic narcotics. This paper will thoroughly delve into the intricate interactions of governmental policies, public health initiatives, and societal changes. The drug scenario in China, previously opium-centric is now a cocktail of different drugs such as designer and misuse of prescription drugs.. We will analyze reasons for this change, which include social and economic pressures as well as impact of the digital world. This paper will focus on different ways through which China has been addressing the drug problem ranging from harsh crackdowns to more lenient harm reduction approaches that emphasize treatment and rehabilitation. We will assess how well these policies have worked, emphasizing successes, areas that need enhancement and any inadvertent consequences. But dealing with drug issues is not only about the rules; it’s also about smart healthcare decisions. Healthcare interventions, educational programs, and community outreach efforts designed to address the issue at its roots. These challenges include eliminating the stigma of using drugs, improving access to drug treatment, and mainstreaming harm reduction in discussions. It supports the development of policies that are flexible and based on evidence, focused more on public health as well as with law enforcements. This is the only approach that will allow us to deal with the problem properly, not just running after the dragon and making sure its shadow does not cast itself over a bright image of this nation.

Abstract

Abdul Qadir al-Jilani's social gathering activities as a basis for strengthening religious moderation brought extraordinary changes to the attitudes, behavior and activities of teenagers. They are increasingly active in going to prayer rooms and mosques, as well as attracting the attention of parents to take part in these events. This research discusses the chronology, construction and implications of Abdul Qadir al-Jilani's social gathering tradition as a basis for strengthening moderation among teenagers in Sraten village. The research method used is qualitative with the type of field research. Data collection methods use interviews, documentation and observation, data analysis uses data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that the tradition of Syaik Abdul Qadir al-Jilani's social gathering was motivated by the extreme behavior of Sraten village teenagers in the form of beatings of members of the community who had the status of the MD-affiliated al-Furqan mosque committee. Youth leaders and community leaders took the initiative to embrace teenagers following Manakib Syaikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani which was packaged with a mobile social gathering. The menakib arisan tradition is a term for the institutionalization of Manakib Syaikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani in society using the arisan system. The tradition of Shaikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani's social gathering takes the form of a social gathering around reading and translating the manakib of Manakib Shaikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani. This activity brought changes in the attitudes and behavior of teenagers from before and after following the Abdul Qadir al-Jilani social gathering tradition. Moderate behavioral changes based on anti-violence indicators so that the conflict over the al-Furqan mosque's place of worship is resolved through a lawsuit to the Surabaya PTUN.

Abstract

This research examine the pioneering process of tourist villages in Kudus, by looking at management and capital that influence tourism development. This research used qualitative approach, with purposive sampling to determine research object and informants by looking at the criteria for 3 sub-districts that have the highest number of tourist villages. Researchers interviewed pioneer actors and tourism village managers and the surrounding community, supported by observational data. The results of this research show that there were differences and disparity in the development of tourist villages in North Kudus and South Kudus. It can be seen from the history of the establishment of tourism and management. The tourist village in North Kudus appears sporadically because there are quite a lot of private parties. This influences the management strategy which is investor-based with the support of financial capital and the sensitivity of actors (investors) in capturing natural potential and visiting opportunities (production center development). It was different from the Tourism Village in South Kudus which historically emerged because of collective awareness (social capital) to develop social activism and economic opportunities through tourism villages. Therefore managing natural and cultural potential carried out collectively by empowering local communities (people center development).

This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews through open-ended questions. Field observations were made in the form of observations on organizational work culture, employee empowerment, and other activities at the Secretariat of the Aceh MPU Institution. Secondary data was reviewed on documents relevant to the research, such as performance reports, financial reports, regulations relating to MPU Aceh. The results of the study found that the organizational strengthening dimension of the Aceh MPU Institution in the aspect of the incentive system has been running well, there is an incentive system obtained by MPU Aceh members according to applicable regulations. The leadership aspect cannot be categorized as collective or network leadership. The coordination of MPU Aceh so far has only been internal to the organization between the Provincial MPU and the district / city MPU. It has not yet carried out cross-agency coordination. Collaborative leadership is the art of leading by involving many actors/institutions in the problem-solving process. This leadership model is very helpful in overcoming the limitations experienced by MPU Aceh in carrying out its duties and functions. In the aspect of employee empowerment, it has been running well, there is a division of labor through existing commissions. Organizational strengthening at MPU Aceh, which includes components of the incentive system, employee empowerment, leadership, organizational culture, and communication, will be more optimal if supported by strong and collaborative leadership.

Abstract

Salaf pesantren play a significant role in Indonesia's Islamic education, promoting scientific progress and character development. To adapt to the changing needs of society, these pesantren have undertaken renewal efforts. This paper examines the educational innovations of Hidayatut Thullab pesantren from a social philosophy perspective, exploring how they influence social interactions within the pesantren community and society as a whole. The study uses a combination of literature and field research, employing domain analysis, component analysis, taxonomy analysis, and cultural theme analysis to understand the social dynamics involved. The findings reveal that this semi-modern salaf pesantren effectively builds a strong social culture through a well-structured curriculum, comprehensive Islamic teachings, and a community life rooted in salaf traditions. This creates a close-knit community with a strong Islamic identity, rich cultural values, and deep respect for the Kiai. However, the innovations are mainly limited to digitalizing da'wah communication through online mass media. While this has positively impacted religious outreach, its influence remains within a limited network, lacking wider national reach. This is partly due to the digital content not being unique enough to achieve viral popularity. Additionally, the pesantren's relationship with the surrounding community is not fully optimized. It remains confined to a traditional salaf system, limiting broader social engagement. As a result, its social influence is more restricted compared to modern pesantren. Unlike modern pesantren, this salaf pesantren faces challenges such as limited collaboration with the government and NGOs. This results in fewer integrated activities, inadequate facilities, and insufficient teacher support. Consequently, its development is more constrained compared to modern pesantren. To maximize its impact, the pesantren needs to adopt more innovative approaches, strengthen community relations, and expand collaborations to enhance educational quality and social influence.

This research method uses ethnography and interviews. The results showed that there is no nash that prohibits women from asking for men by giving a certain amount of money, this tradition is also in line with the mursalah maslahah Wahbah Zuhaili who demands that a matter must contain public benefit values not only personal, this tradition also has the meaning of mutual respect for the families of both parties but arises as a result of the symbol, namely:  Fueling the fact that there is competition among male families for higher amounts of pickup money. Then came the traditional terms "buying men" and "giving dowry to men.
