Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a project monitoring system at PT. XYZ. The company faces several challenges, including difficulties for Project Managers and clients to obtain information from production employees regarding the progress of their work, and the lack of proper income reporting. This design is expected to help the company get information about the progress of work completed by production employees and to record advance payments and final payments for a project. The methodology used in this research is the waterfall methodology, which includes the stages of requirement, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance. However, the author only uses two stages: requirement and design. In the design stage, the modeling of the system uses Unified modeling language (UML) diagrams, consisting of use case diagram, activity diagram, sequence diagram, and class diagram. For database design, the entity relationship diagram (erd) is used. To create the user interface (ui/ux) design, figma is used to facilitate the system design process. The results of this research include a design with three main features: Project Managers can monitor the progress of production employees' work, clients can monitor the progress of the projects they have submitted, and advance payments and final payments for a project can be recorded. The recommendation is to develop this design into a mobile-based application to make it more effective and efficient, and to add a feature for direct payment within the app for advance payments and final payments for a project.

Abstract

This study develops a Python-based application to evaluate password strength and provide more secure password recommendations using the NATO phonetic alphabet, True Random Number Generator (TRNG), and Pseudorandom Number Generator (PRNG). The application aims to enhance user security by generating passwords with high entropy. This entropy is influenced by character variation, password length, and the combination of symbols, numbers, and letters. The study shows that the more complex a password is, the longer it takes to be cracked. However, overly complex passwords are often difficult to remember, requiring a solution that maintains security without compromising usability. The developed application not only measures password strength but also provides stronger password recommendations through three methods. The first method replaces some password characters with the NATO phonetic alphabet, making them easier to remember. The second method adds random characters based on PRNG, while the third method combines TRNG and NATO to enhance password complexity. With this approach, the application offers a practical solution to improving digital security, helping users create stronger passwords that remain easy to use in daily life.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the current digital era encourages various sectors to enhance efficiency, competitiveness, and service reach through digital transformation. One form of its implementation is the development of online product sales systems. Toko XYZ, a business engaged in shoe sales, still relies on conventional sales methods through physical stores, thus facing challenges in reaching a wider range of customers amid changing consumer behavior. This study aims to develop a website-based sales system to support the digitalization of business operations at Toko XYZ. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and literature studies to identify system requirements. The developed e-commerce website is designed to expand market reach, facilitate transaction processes, and provide a more convenient shopping experience for customers. System evaluation was carried out using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach, with measurements conducted through a Likert scale-based questionnaire. Analysis results show that the user acceptance rate for the website reached 89%, which falls into the "strongly agree" category. These findings indicate that the implementation of a website-based online sales system can improve sales effectiveness, expand the customer base, and strengthen Toko XYZ's competitive position in the digital market.

Abstract

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine remains one of the major international issues drawing global attention. It began in 2014 with the ousting of President Yanukovych, which triggered a political divide between pro-European Union and pro-Russian factions within Ukraine. Tensions escalated significantly by late 2021, culminating in Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, under President Vladimir Putin’s directive. Twitter, as a social media platform, became a major outlet for the public to express their opinions regarding the conflict. This study aims to analyze public sentiment on Twitter concerning the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The methods used in this research are a combination of the Naïve Bayes algorithm and Lexicon Based Features. Naïve Bayes is utilized to classify sentiment data, while Lexicon Based Features assign weights to positive and negative sentiment words in textual data. The results show that this combined method is effective in categorizing public opinions based on their sentiments towards the conflict. This sentiment analysis provides a broader understanding of global perceptions and may serve as a reference for assessing public opinion in digital media contexts.

Abstract

Development of information technology currently provides opportunities for business owners to improve efficiency and quality of service including in the camping equipment rental industry. Aygadventure as one of the camping equipment rental companies faces several operational constraints such as inefficient manual recording, long queues, and errors in data management. This study aims to design and implement a website-based rental recommendation system using the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm to overcome these problems. The K-NN algorithm is used to provide product recommendations based on rental data to increase efficiency in the transaction process. The system development method uses the Prototyping method which allows system adjustments according to user needs. System testing uses several methods including white box testing, black box testing, and user satisfaction testing with satisfactory results. White box testing shows 100% successful coding results in the system, while black box testing results in full success on all features and functionalities of the system being tested. The results of the user acceptance test show an average satisfaction of 83.30%, respondents expressed satisfaction with the aspects of usability, access speed, and ease of navigation. Thus, this system successfully improves Aygadventure's operational efficiency, provides a better user experience, and increases overall customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology requires educational institutions to provide effective communication media for delivering academic information to the public. A website plays a key role in this regard, serving as a digital gateway that reflects the institution’s credibility and professionalism. The Informatics Study Program at the Indonesian Defense University needs a landing page website that is not only informative and visually engaging but also accessible across a variety of devices and screen sizes. This study aims to design and develop a landing page using the Responsive Web Design (RWD) approach to ensure that the website display can dynamically adjust on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. RWD was chosen for its ability to deliver an optimal viewing experience through the use of flexible grid layouts, media queries, and responsive user interface elements. The development process also considered aspects of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) to enhance user comfort and functionality. Testing results show that the website developed with the RWD method can effectively present information on various devices, support intuitive navigation, and improve overall accessibility. This website is expected to serve as a reliable communication medium and strengthen the professional image of the Informatics Study Program at the Indonesian Defense University in the digital space.

Abstract

The Social Services Department of Nias Selatan faced challenges in managing data on Penyandang Masalah Kesejahteraan Sosial (PMKS) due to manual processes and geographical constraints across the district. This study aimed to design a web-based data collection service system to improve data management, complaint handling, announcements, and dissemination of social welfare information. Data were collected through observations and interviews, and the system was modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, including Use Case, Activity, Sequence, and Class Diagrams. The system was developed using the waterfall method, with PHP and MySQL as the programming and database technologies. Functional testing using the black box method showed that the system functioned as expected. The resulting web application facilitated effective and transparent management of PMKS data, enhanced complaint services, and improved information delivery to the community. The system supported the Social Services Department in performing its duties more efficiently, particularly in managing PMKS data across multiple sub-districts. Future developments were considered, including security enhancements and integration with social media platforms for broader information dissemination.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology each year has driven digital transformation across various sectors, including healthcare services. One significant innovation is the digitalization of patient registration processes, which were previously conducted manually and often resulted in long queues and inefficiency. This study aims to develop and implement an Android and web-based registration system at the Dental and Oral Therapist Clinic of Bambang Hariyadi, Amd.Kes, in order to enhance efficiency and improve the patient experience. The system development method includes needs analysis through interviews and literature studies, user interface and system architecture design, implementation of both mobile and web applications, and evaluation based on user feedback. The application allows patients to independently register, schedule appointments, and receive periodic treatment reminders through their mobile devices or computers. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in registration efficiency, reduced waiting times, and increased patient satisfaction with the clinic’s services. Therefore, the implementation of this system is considered effective in supporting the digitalization of registration services in healthcare facilities, particularly in dental and oral therapy practices.
