Abstract

Education is an important component for the progress of a country. The more adequate and developed education, the more advanced the society. Education and technology must be able to go hand in hand. In the digital era, the process of change and development certainly goes very fast. This process was initially marked by advances in technology which greatly influenced human life, including education or vocational education. Vocational education or vocational education is also known as vocational education at the SMK/MAK level, which is education at a high level which aims to prepare students to continue to higher levels of education and/or expand basic education, as well as to improve students' abilities to be able to develop themselves in line with the development of science, technology and the arts, so that they can enter the workforce and develop a professional attitude.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on many aspects of human life, especially education. To ensure social distancing, schools were closed, and face-to-face learning was halted until conditions stabilized. Even after the pandemic ended, the remote learning methods used during the pandemic continued to be utilized. This includes vocational education such as technical drawing courses. With students learning from home, teachers faced challenges in preparing for online learning. Effective learning strategies are needed to succeed in online education. This article aims to provide an explanation of successful online learning methods. The data for this scientific article were obtained through a process of identification, evaluation, and synthesis; the researchers used several journals as references and books to support their arguments. The literature review results indicate that 1) Many people are not ready for online learning and face difficulties in achieving learning objectives. 2) Effective online learning strategies are systematic plans created by teachers to address every aspect of online learning. 3) Teachers can use these strategies to achieve effective online learning, such as mastering the use of online media, providing alternative access, enhancing student interaction and participation, and offering support and guidance.Top of Form

Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to explain the meaning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT); (2) explain the importance of using ICT in Mathematics Learning; (3) describe how much ICT is used in Mathematics Learning in Indonesia; (4) describes the positive and negative impacts of applying ICT in Mathematics learning. The method used is a literature review and descriptive interviews with educators and students in the field of mathematics education. Information and Communication Technology is electronic equipment consisting of hardware and software as well as all activities related to processing, manipulation, management and transfer of information between media. Its function is to produce quality and communicative information. In Indonesia, the use of Information and Communication Technology is still at the level of integration, which is shown by the use of technology in learning. The use of information technology, apart from being an effort to overcome technical problems of learning as a learning medium, is also an effort to answer substantial problems of learning as a teaching resource and encourage the acceleration of computer literacy in Indonesian society. This article aims to discuss the effectiveness of online-based mathematics learning (E-learning) on student learning achievement. So the development of education today is influenced by the rapid progress of information and communication technology. One of the information technologies that plays a role in the world of education is online learning (E-learning). Online learning (E-learning) functions as a link between educators and students using electronics and internet networks that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The online media used are various (WhatsApp, Google Classroom, YouTube). The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of online-based mathematics learning (E-learning). The method used in collecting data is to provide an evaluation.

Abstract

Research on the development of learning media in the form of stopmotion videos. Ethnomathematics of the folklore of shallots and garlic with the aim of increasing students' understanding of integer material in class VII of junior high school. The method used in this research is R&D (research and development) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The data collected in analyzing needs is by collecting various information regarding what is needed by junior high school students. To find out this is done by observing mathematics learning activities and conducting interviews with mathematics teachers who teach in junior high schools. The media feasibility test has been tested by several experts, providing input and suggestions for this stopmotion video learning media. With this learning media, it can provide a deeper understanding regarding the material of integers, which is a basic concept that must be mastered by students.

Abstract

Language is very important in communication. Language becomes one of the foundations for achieving success in creating good communication. Therefore, skills in using languages are very influential and become a special concern in language learning. Speaking is part of English lessons both at the elementary level to the college level at the moment. The development and acceleration of technology also requires everyone to be able to communicate and speak internationally, in this case English well and smoothly. However, there are some barriers to applying English language skills especially to students at a college. The factor of confidence and courage is a student’s self-image in implementing the ability to speak English in the classroom and the surrounding environment. While in the assessment of English speaking skills, students need to have vocabulary knowledge, grammar, fluency, accents, and understanding. The aim of this study is to analyze and know the relationship of confidence with English speaking skills in students of the 4th semester of Tadris English. The research method used is Qualitative Descriptive using survey data to students of the 4th semester of English.

Abstract

Efforts to increase self-confidence are a very important component in the learning process, in order to train self-confidence and mentally train students, especially to have the courage to appear in public. One ability that can be improved is the ability to speak foreign languages, especially English and Arabic. If you look at it from time to time, foreign languages such as Arabic are currently an important language to learn, just like English. This research seeks answers to the questions 1) What is the level of self-confidence in speaking Arabic of IAIN Syekh Nurjati students? efforts to grow self-confidence. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by collecting data in the form of interviews and filling out questionnaires on research subjects. This research resulted in the finding that the majority of IAIN Syekh Nurjati students have great self-confidence and the Plotagon application to improve their Arabic speaking skills is very helpful for students, because the application has many features that can help its users.

Abstract

Indonesia's education system faces challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, variable teacher quality and frequently changing curricula, causing confusion for teachers, students and parents. Nonetheless, the government continues to improve access and quality of education. Indonesia's education system covers primary, secondary and tertiary levels, with a focus on improving the quality of life in accordance with the 1945 Constitution. In contrast, Singapore has a superior education system with a bilingual policy and a full curriculum. Compulsory education lasts for ten years, and thirteen years are required for university entrance. Malaysia has an education system from preschool to higher education, with a fixed curriculum and prioritized teacher welfare. Brunei Darussalam focuses on human capital development through a bilingual education system and the Malay Islam Beraja Concept, with the implementation of the SPN21 system that provides opportunities for students to achieve higher education. While each country has unique advantages and challenges in their education systems, all are working to improve the quality of education and human resource development for a better future.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on observations and discussions between the author and the author's employees at the West Pasaman district education office which shows low employee satisfaction. The main aim of the research is to obtain information regarding placement and job satisfaction of employees at the West Pasaman Regency Education Office, as well as assessing the significance of the relationship between employee placement and employee job satisfaction. This research uses a correlational approach to investigate the relationship between variables. The population studied involved 70 employees, with 39 of them selected as samples using proportional stratified random sampling techniques based on the Cochran formula. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale which has been tested for validity and reliability. The main findings include: 1) Employee Job Satisfaction at the West Pasaman Regency Education Office was rated high with a score of 4.13. 2) Employee placement at the West Pasaman Regency Education Service was rated as appropriate with a score of 3.89. 3) There is a significant relationship between Employee Job Satisfaction and Employee Placement in the West Pasaman Regency Education Office with a significance level of 5%, shown by a correlation coefficient of 0.544 and a correlation significance test of 3.941.

Abstract

The professional competence of basic education teachers plays an important role in the learning process in schools, and must always refer to actions that are rational and have certain specifications in carrying out their educational duties. Teachers as professional staff are required to have abilities and skills that are appropriate to the field they are working in, so that the process of growth and development of students' potential, which includes cognitive, affective, psychomotor and spiritual aspects, can run well and in accordance with the educational goals that have been set. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with critical discourse analysis and literature review methods. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that efforts to increase teacher professional competence can be carried out through the following steps: first, efforts made by basic education teachers to increase their professional competence, including: attending teacher upgrading, training, national or international seminars, and teacher deliberations field of study, increasing knowledge through mass or electronic media, and professional advancement through independent study; and second, the efforts made by school principals to increase the professional competence of basic education teachers, including: empowering to increase the professionalism of basic education teachers through collaboration with advanced and developing basic education institutions, providing opportunities for basic education teachers to improve their profession, encouraging teacher involvement basic education in every school education activity (participatory), and increasing the knowledge of basic education teachers through deliberation, both among material teachers and as a whole.
