Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance at MTs Hidayatul Athfal Rebile, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. This study used a quantitative method with the Spearman Rank correlation analysis technique. The results of the analysis showed a significant value of 0.177> 0.05, so H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected. This means that there is no significant relationship or influence between the principal's leadership style and teacher performance. The level of strength of the relationship between variables X (leadership style) and Y (teacher performance) based on the correlation coefficient value of 0.368, which is between 0.20–0.399, so it is interpreted as a low relationship according to the guidelines for interpreting the correlation coefficient. From the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R²), the influence of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance is 13.5%, while 86.5% is influenced by other factors. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the principal's leadership style has a low influence on teacher performance at MTs Hidayatul Athfal Rebile.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies used by teachers in increasing learning activity and what are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in increasing learning activity in the subject of aqidah akhlak. This type of research is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach method. The research informants used in this study were aqidah akhlak teachers, class XI students and the head of the madrasah. With the technique of determining informants, namely purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, the use of teacher strategies in increasing learning activity in the subject of aqidah akhlak is to use direct learning strategies, interactive learning strategies and independent learning strategies. However, this has not run optimally with some students who are still embarrassed to ask or express opinions and make teachers as facilitators in learning so that some students choose to be passive. The supporting factors for learning activity are influenced by the use of appropriate learning strategies, methods and approaches. While the inhibiting factors consist of two factors, namely internal factors, including physical and spiritual health, low motivation and interest in learning and lack of student ability in understanding the lesson. While external factors include inadequate school conditions, the use of inappropriate teaching methods or strategies, poor relationships with teachers and the influence of friends in learning.

Abstract

The results of the researcher's observations with the class teacher who teaches Islamic Religious Education for class XII showed that Islamic Religious Education learning at the vocational school had not met the expected KKM. Also, many students felt bored with the learning model applied by the Islamic Religious Education subject teacher. In this study, the researcher used a project-based learning model. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the project-based learning model on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education students. This research was conducted at SMK Islam Farmasi Sumbawa. This type of research uses a quantitative approach. The population of this study were students of SMK Islam Farmasi Sumbawa and the sample of this study was 38 students in class XII. This study used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and questionnaires.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning based on the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SMKN 3 Sumbawa Besar. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of differentiated learning based on the independent curriculum in PAI subjects at SMKN 3 Sumbawa is carried out by considering differences in students' interests, talents, and abilities. Teachers use various learning strategies. Learning materials are presented by integrating spiritual and moral values in everyday life. Assessments are carried out authentically by considering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The results of the implementation show an increase in student motivation, participation, and learning achievement in PAI subjects. It can be concluded that the implementation of differentiated learning based on the independent curriculum in PAI subjects at SMKN 3 Sumbawa Besar is running well and has a positive impact on student development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of local wisdom into Social Studies (IPS) learning as an effort to develop character values in elementary school students. A qualitative approach was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results show that IPS learning based on local values such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, responsibility, and respect for culture significantly enhances students’ active engagement. Learning activities that connect academic material with students’ social realities foster more meaningful understanding and strengthen character values contextually. This integration not only revitalizes local culture within the classroom but also deepens students' connection with their social identity and environment. The main challenges in implementation include limited local teaching resources, lack of teacher training, and insufficient support from schools and parents. The study concludes that local wisdom-based IPS learning has strong potential to shape students' character, though systematic support and educational policies are needed to ensure sustainable implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-compassion and resilience in adolescents from divorced families. Divorce is a major life event that can significantly impact adolescents' emotional and psychological well-being, often leading to challenges in adapting to changes in family structure. In this context, self-compassion—a personal trait involving kindness to oneself during suffering—may serve as an internal resource that enhances resilience. A total of 70 adolescents aged 10–19 years from divorced families participated in this study. They were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using two main instruments: the Adolescent Resilience Scale (ARS), adapted from Oshio et al. (2003), and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), adapted from Neff (2003). The results of statistical analysis indicated that the null hypothesis was rejected. A Pearson correlation test revealed a strong and significant positive relationship between self-compassion and resilience (r = 0.733, p = 0.000). This finding suggests that adolescents who show greater self-compassion tend to possess higher levels of resilience in the face of parental divorce. Additional analyses showed that gender did not significantly affect either self-compassion or resilience levels, while age was found to be a significant factor influencing resilience. These results underline the importance of developing self-compassion in adolescents, particularly those undergoing family disruptions, as a protective factor to foster psychological adaptation and well-being.

Abstract

Penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi beragama menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang majemuk. Di tengah tantangan radikalisme dan intoleransi, peran tokoh agama, khususnya Tuan Guru di Lombok, menjadi sangat strategis dalam membentuk sikap keberagamaan yang inklusif dan toleran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Tuan Guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama di masyarakat Desa Lembuak, Kecamatan Narmada, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan Tuan Guru dan tokoh masyarakat, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tuan Guru di Desa Lembuak memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam membimbing umat untuk menjalankan ajaran Islam secara wasathiyah (moderat) melalui pengajian, dakwah, dan keteladanan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Nilai-nilai moderasi seperti toleransi, anti kekerasan, dan komitmen kebangsaan ditanamkan melalui pendekatan kultural dan spiritual yang kuat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan peran Tuan Guru sebagai agen perdamaian dan pelopor moderasi beragama di tingkat akar rumput.
