Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic imperative for hospitals, extending beyond isolated technological adoption toward organization-wide changes in governance, workflows, and information systems. However, the research landscape remains multidisciplinary and conceptually diffuse, making it challenging to identify dominant themes and emerging trends. To map the intellectual structure, thematic clusters, and temporal evolution of Scopus-indexed research on digital transformation in hospital administration.A bibliometric mapping study was conducted using Scopus as the sole database. The following query was applied: TITLE-ABS-KEY (“digital transformation”) AND TITLE-ABS-KEY (hospital OR “hospital administration” OR “healthcare administration”), restricted to journal articles, in English published between 2005 and 2025, yielding a final dataset of 345 articles. The final dataset comprised 345 articles. Descriptive bibliometrics were obtained using Scopus Analyzer. The search was conducted on May 2, 2026. Science mapping based on author keyword co-occurrence was conducted using VOSviewer, with a minimum occurrence threshold of five. Publications increased substantially after 2020, with contributions dominated by medicine, computer science, and management. The United Kingdom and the United States were leading contributors. Digital transformation emerged as a central node linked to hospitals, digital health, and health information systems. Four clusters were identified: system-level transformation, digital health innovation, advanced technologies, and implementation-related aspects including readiness and patient safety.Hospital digital transformation research has shifted toward integrated organizational change, emphasizing readiness, maturity, analytics, and safety, but gaps remain in implementation and outcome evaluation

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of aesthetic medicine has been accompanied by increasing use of clinical, scientific, ethical, and promotional claims, particularly in digitally mediated environments where communication shapes patient expectations and decision-making. However, the literature addressing these claims remains fragmented across clinical, ethical, and medicolegal domains. This study aims to map the intellectual structure, thematic interconnections, and temporal evolution of research on claims in aesthetic medicine.A bibliometric analysis was conducted using Scopus-indexed publications retrieved on May 1, 2026. The initial search yielded 935 documents, of which 95 met the final inclusion criteria after sequential filtering. The dataset covered publications from 2005 to 2025. Analysis was performed using VOSviewer through keyword co-occurrence mapping, supported by thesaurus-based normalization. Network, overlay, and density visualizations were applied to  The analysis identified four interconnected thematic groups: (1) medicolegal and ethical claims, (2) clinical outcomes and procedural evaluation, (3) procedural and surgical techniques, and (4) ethical–relational dimensions. Clinical outcome evaluation emerged as the central basis for claim substantiation, while ethical and medicolegal issues—such as informed consent and malpractice—were structurally embedded within clinical research rather than peripheral. Communication and marketing-related keywords functioned as bridging elements across clusters. Temporal analysis demonstrated a shift from procedural emphasis toward increasing focus on outcome evaluation, ethical accountability, and governance.Claims in aesthetic medicine develop within an interconnected ecosystem linking clinical evidence, communication practices, and legal accountability. The findings highlight the need for alignment between scientific evidence, ethical communication, and promotional practices to support patient safety, trust, and professional legitimacy.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent gap between lecturer-centered instruction and the underdeveloped mathematical reflective thinking of pre-service elementary teachers by designing, validating, and testing an instructional model termed METRIS (Metaphorical Thinking Reflective Instructional Scaffold). Employing a research-and-development design that namely analysis, design, prototyping, evaluation, and implementation for dissemination, the study engaged pre-service elementary teachers across three teacher-education institutions in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The model attained a mean validity score of 3.61 (very valid), an implementation-agreement rate of 98 percent, and an effectiveness gain rising from 66 percent to 75 percent across trials, with the experimental group significantly outperforming the control group, t (68) = 6.37, p < .001. These findings indicate that mediating abstract mathematical structures through learner-generated metaphors operationalizes constructivist and cognitivist learning principles into a teachable, assessable classroom syntax. The study contributes an empirically validated, transferable pedagogical model to the underexplored intersection of metaphor-based instruction and reflective cognition in teacher education, offering both a theoretical bridge between metaphor theory and reflective-judgment theory and a practical scaffold that teacher-education programs elsewhere can adapt, trial, and extend.

Abstract

Hand sanitizer is a widely used antiseptic preparation for reducing microbial contamination on the hands. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the physical characteristics and antibacterial activity of a hand sanitizer gel formulated with ethanol extract of passion fruit leaves (Passiflora edulis Sims.). The extract was obtained through maceration using 96% ethanol and subsequently formulated into three gel formulations (F1, F2, and F3) with varying extract concentrations. The gel base consisted of Carbopol 940 as a gelling agent, triethanolamine (TEA) as a pH adjuster and neutralizing agent, glycerin as a humectant, and methyl paraben as a preservative. Physical evaluations included organoleptic assessment, pH, spreadability, adhesion, and viscosity, conducted over 12 weeks of storage at 4°C and 40°C. Antibacterial activity was assessed using the disc diffusion method against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The results showed that all formulations produced a homogeneous, semisolid gel with good physical stability. The measured pH, spreadability, adhesion, and viscosity values of all formulations remained within the acceptable range for topical gel preparations. Antibacterial testing demonstrated that activity increased with higher concentrations of the extract. Among the formulations, F3 exhibited the strongest antibacterial effect, with inhibition zone diameters of 11.8 mm against Escherichia coli and 14.3 mm against Staphylococcus aureus. Overall, these findings indicate that passion fruit leaf ethanol extract can be successfully formulated into a stable and effective hand sanitizer gel with antibacterial properties.

Abstract

The use of herbal ingredients as topical preparations continues to grow because they are considered safer and possess diverse biological activities. A combination of turmeric, coriander, kadara extracts, and clove essential oil has the potential to be developed into a herbal massage product for babies, which is highly beneficial for growth and development due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. This study aims to formulate OBISA Herbal Oil from Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and to evaluate its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities, physical characteristics, and safety . Laboratory experimental research was conducted at the CNH Aromatherapy Laboratory, Semarang (July–September 2025). Extraction was carried out using maceration and distillation methods. Evaluations included flavonoid testing, in vitro anti-inflammatory activity (BSA protein denaturation inhibition), antioxidant activity (DPPH method), organoleptic tests, pH, homogeneity, adhesiveness, stability, and skin irritation testing. The turmeric extract showed the highest flavonoid content (6617.93 mg QE/100 g). Antioxidant activity increased with concentration, with the highest inhibition observed in the 1.5% formula (85.5%). The best anti-inflammatory activity was found in the 0.5% formula. The 1% formula demonstrated optimal adhesion and stable physical characteristics. Irritation tests showed an irritation index of 0 (non-irritant). OBISA Herbal Oil is safe for topical use with good biological activity. The 1% formula is the most optimal formulation based on effectiveness and physical quality

Abstract

The implementation of deep learning cannot be separated from philosophical assumptions that define the nature of knowledge and the role of teachers. However, studies on the contribution of philosophy—particularly essentialism and existentialism—to the implementation of deep learning are still limited. This literature study aims to analyze the interrelationship between deep learning and two contrasting educational philosophies—essentialism and existentialism— while simultaneously mapping out the points of compatibility between them. The result of the study shows that essentialism provides a structural foundation in the form of mastery of core knowledge and academic discipline, which are prerequisites for deep understanding, while existentialism contributes a reflective dimension in the form of freedom, authenticity, and the search for meaning, which strengthens the internalization of knowledge into life values. These two substantive strengths provide a philosophical foundation that reinforces the application of deep learning, through two interconnected stages: first, the structured mastery of core knowledge, followed by an authentic reflection and self-actualization. These findings are expected to contribute conceptually to the development of deep learning that balances structure and freedom of learning in primary school education

Abstract

Water is a vital resource that supports the sustainability of life and the economic activities of communities. This study analyzes the water footprint (WF) of food and non-food consumption as a basis for water resource management in the Jambo Aye Watershed, Aceh Province, Indonesia. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied using secondary data on household food and non-food consumption from the National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and population data for 2023 and 2024. The WF was calculated by multiplying the per capita consumption of each commodity by its virtual water coefficient, adopting the standardized global coefficients of the Water Footprint Network (Mekonnen & Hoekstra), and aggregating the results at the watershed scale; the analysis employed total (aggregate) virtual water values without disaggregating the green, blue, and grey components. The results show that the WF of food consumption reached 688.90 million m³ in 2023 and increased by 8.27% to 745.84 million m³ in 2024, accounting for more than 99% of the total WF, with rice as the main contributor. The WF of non-food consumption was considerably smaller, rising by 9.11% from 3.00 million m³ in 2023 to 3.28 million m³ in 2024, driven mainly by housing and household facilities. These findings indicate that water resource management in the Jambo Aye Watershed should prioritize improving water-use efficiency in the food sector, particularly rice-based agriculture, to support the long-term sustainability of water resources.
