Abstract

Learning difficulties are conditions where students experience difficulties in understanding subject matter, so that the learning outcomes obtained do not match their abilities. This study aims to determine the factors causing learning difficulties in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fourth-grade students at SDN 40 Cakranegara. Data collection methods were carried out using questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used was Miles and Huberman with analysis components including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learning difficulties in IPAS are influenced by internal and external factors. Based on the questionnaire results, the contribution of internal factors includes learning attitude (15.70%), motivation (23.24%), and interest (21.66%), while external factors consist of family (22.74%) and school (17.03%). In detail, from internal factors, students' learning attitudes are still low, especially in the indicators of self-confidence and feelings; learning interest is low in the indicators of attraction and feeling of pleasure; and motivation is not yet optimal in the indicators of initiative and commitment. From external factors, the school's social environment is not fully supportive because students lack encouragement from peers, while from the family side, an unsupportive home atmosphere, unsupportive parenting styles, and economic limitations were found. The learning difficulties in IPAS among fourth-grade students are the result of the interaction between weak internal factors and lack of external support, thus requiring synergy between teachers, schools, and parents to help students overcome learning difficulties more optimally.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di Indonesia tercermin dari hasil survei PISA 2022 yang menunjukkan penurunan skor rata-rata, termasuk pada aspek sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair-Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPAS peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 3 Midang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Quasi-Experimental Design tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Midang yang berjumlah 40 orang. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, dengan kelas IV-B sebagai kelas eksperimen (20 orang) yang diberi perlakuan model TPS dan kelas IV-A sebagai kelas kontrol (20 orang) yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi dan tes essay kemampuan berpikir kritis yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t independen, dan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang lebih signifikan pada kelas eksperimen (nilai rata-rata post-test 72,7) dibandingkan kelas kontrol (nilai rata-rata post-test 65,2). Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji-t independen menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti H? ditolak dan H? diterima. Hasil uji effect size (Cohen's d) sebesar 1,219 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair-Share (TPS) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPAS peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Midang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies used by teachers in increasing student learning motivation in mathematics learning and to determine the factors that influence teachers in increasing student learning motivation at SDN 2 Badrain. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The research instrument uses observation and interviews. As well as, data analysis techniques use data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that : 1. Teacher strategies in increasing student learning motivation in Mathematics learning at SDN 2 Badrain are through several efforts that have been implemented by teachers, including: physical and mental readiness, increasing concentration, increasing interest and motivation, using learning strategies, various learning methods, giving appreciation (rewards)/punishments, and learning evaluation. 2. The supporting factors in increasing student learning motivation include support from the school environment, availability of infrastructure, teacher flexibility, and student enthusiasm supported by parents and a positive social environment. However, there are also inhibiting factors such as lack of teacher preparation, low student concern, a less conducive classroom atmosphere, and negative student perceptions of mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the inference time and accuracy of ship detection in complex maritime imagery using the DC-YOLOv8 algorithm. DC-YOLOv8 is an enhanced version of YOLOv8 specifically designed for real-time detection under challenging visual conditions, such as low lighting, fog, and dynamic sea backgrounds. The method integrates an MDC module, depthwise separable convolution, and an updated feature fusion strategy. The evaluation was conducted using the SeaShips dataset and compared with the baseline YOLOv8 model. Experimental results show that DC-YOLOv8 achieves a significant improvement in inference time, reducing it by 2.855 ms, while maintaining a competitive mAP score of 0.7953. These results indicate that DC-YOLOv8 is more effective for real-time detection tasks in maritime environments.

Abstract

The learning process carried out by students in grade VI of SDN 2 Kekeri shows challenges in understanding the material. This is due to the lack of use of innovative learning media, so that the learning process tends to be monotonous and students have difficulty understanding abstract concepts. This study aims to develop and describe the validity and practicality of Pop-Up Book learning media in the science content of the Solar System material. This media focuses on the solar system material, designed with three-dimensional and interactive elements such as QR Codes connected to learning videos, 3D animations, and game applications. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Hannafin & Peck development model which consists of three stages: needs analysis (needs assessment), design (design), and development and implementation (development and implementation). The results of research and development of Pop-Up Book media on solar system material from media experts were 91.25% (Very Appropriate), the results from material experts were 98.75% (Very Appropriate), the results from teacher responses were 95% (Very Practical), the results of student responses in small group tests were 96.25% (Very Practical) and large groups were 95% (Very Practical). This shows that the Pop-Up Book learning media is declared valid and practical for use in science learning on Solar System material.

Abstract

This development study aims to produce E-LKPD with audiovisual-based cover education songs on the skeletal system material for grade XI senior high school that is valid and practical for use in learning. The development model applied is 4D (Four-D) by Thiagarajan (1974), which includes the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The research was conducted at Kubutambahan 1 Senior High School. The validity test was carried out using Gregory's formula, involving two subject matter experts and two media experts. The assessment results showed that the Gregory Validity Coefficient (GVC) of both subject matter and media experts scored 1, which is classified as highly valid. Furthermore, the practicality test involved three biology teachers and 31 grade XI students at Kubutambahan 1 Senior High School. The assessment results showed a practicality level of 91.42% from teachers and 84.51% from students, both of which were classified as highly practical. Thus, the E-LKPD E-LKPD with audiovisual-based cover education songs on the skeletal system material for grade XI senior high school was declared highly valid and highly practical to support the learning process in grade XI senior high school.

Abstract

This study aims to map the trends in science education research in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era through a bibliometric analysis based on Dimensions AI data for the period 2016–2025. The method used is a descriptive bibliometric analysis with a literature review approach to identify publication patterns, the most productive authors, publishing journals, research field categories, and publication types. The results of the analysis show that there are 2,390 relevant publications, with a significant increasing trend from 2020 to 2025. This indicates that AI-based science education research is developing rapidly towards more adaptive, interactive, and data-driven learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that the trend in science education research in the AI era is getting stronger with increasing collaboration across disciplines and countries, as well as an emphasis on the integration of intelligent technology in pedagogical innovation for effective and sustainable science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends in Augmented Reality (AR) based learning research using bibliometric analysis through Dimensions AI for the period 2016–2025. The method used is descriptive quantitative, analyzing the number of publications, research fields, authors, and publication types. The results show a significant increase in AR publications since 2016, peaking in 2023. The most dominant publication type is scientific articles (43,446 publications), with Education and Curriculum and Pedagogy as the main categories. Several Indonesian researchers are also actively contributing to AR research at the global level. In conclusion, AR research in education is growing rapidly and is interdisciplinary, with development trending toward integrating AR with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) to create more immersive and adaptive learning.

Abstract

The advantages of mobile or portable CXR in Covid-19 patients are minimal radiation received compared to CT SCAN, as well as monitoring or evaluating patient diagnoses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). CXR in the Anterior Posterior (AP) projection with Covid-19 patients lying supine or sitting in the ICU are usually uncooperative in adjusting the patient's position, resulting in low image quality, thus requiring Digital Imaging (DIP) in an effort to improve image quality. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of seventh-grade students regarding the topic of cells. The abstract and microscopic nature of cell concepts often makes them difficult to visualize, resulting in learning that tends to rely on memorization. This research is a classroom action research aimed at improving the learning outcomes of 32 seventh-grade students at SMPIT Nur Hidayah. The research activities consisted of a pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. In the pre-cycle, learning was conducted using lecture and discussion methods; in Cycle I, the Project-Based Learning model was implemented with a microscope project; and in Cycle II, a plastiline project was applied. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis, with success indicators set at an average score of 80, a minimum of 80% classical mastery, and an N-gain categorized at least as medium. The results showed that in the pre-cycle, the average score was 51.91 with 3.13% classical mastery. In Cycle I, the average score increased to 60.09 with 15.63% classical mastery, and in Cycle II it further increased to 84.06 with 93.75% classical mastery. The N-gain from the pre-cycle to Cycle I was 0.22 (low), and from Cycle I to Cycle II was 0.58 (medium). Thus, the success indicators were achieved, and it can be concluded that the classroom action using the Project-Based Learning model with the Mikroplas media successfully improved student learning outcomes
