Abstract

Pendekatan antropologi dalam studi Islam menawarkan perspektif unik dalam memahami agama sebagai fenomena sosial dan budaya yang dinamis. Antropologi mengkaji bagaimana ajaran Islam dipraktikkan secara berbeda oleh komunitas Muslim di seluruh dunia, dipengaruhi oleh konteks budaya, sosial, ekonomi, dan politik. Perspektif holistik ini membantu mengungkap keberagaman praktik keagamaan, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh Clifford Geertz melalui konsep "santri," "abangan," dan "priyayi" dalam masyarakat Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka untuk mengeksplorasi pengertian antropologi, perannya dalam studi agama, serta urgensi pendekatan ini dalam memahami Islam. Antropologi agama berfokus pada interaksi antara ajaran agama dan institusi sosial yang mendukungnya. Pendekatan ini relevan di era globalisasi, di mana interaksi lintas budaya memperkaya dan menambah kompleksitas praktik keagamaan. Meskipun pendekatan antropologi memiliki kekurangan, seperti tantangan dalam memisahkan agama dan budaya, serta menjaga objektivitas, kelebihannya terletak pada kemampuannya untuk memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang keberagaman dan adaptasi Islam dalam berbagai konteks. Dengan demikian, pendekatan antropologi penting untuk memperluas wawasan, mendukung inklusivitas, serta mengapresiasi keberagaman praktik keagamaan umat Islam di berbagai komunitas. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa Islam yang telah terlembaga dalam kehidupan sosial, budaya, dan politik masyarakat memerlukan pendekatan holistik untuk memahami kompleksitas interaksi agama dan budaya dalam kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the education and coaching system at the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar, as well as the role of Kiai and teachers in managing students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method involving interviews, observation, and documentation to obtain in-depth data regarding aspects of education in Islamic boarding schools. The research results show that the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School applies a holistic approach to developing the character and religious knowledge of its students. The role of Kiai and teachers is very significant in directing and guiding students through interactive and participatory teaching methods. In addition, this research identifies the challenges faced in the student admission process and in structuring their social life. The conclusion of this research confirms that the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School is committed to improving the quality of education while maintaining local religious and cultural values, as well as adapting to current developments. The existence of this Islamic boarding school not only contributes to religious education but also to the formation of the character of students who have noble morals and are ready to make a positive contribution to society.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of gratitude from an Islamic perspective as one way to improve mental well-being in the context of positive psychology. Gratitude, as a form of appreciation for God's gifts, is believed to increase feelings of happiness and life satisfaction. In positive psychology, gratitude is recognized as one of the elements that can influence an individual's mental health and happiness. This study focuses on the relationship between the practice of gratitude in everyday life and improved mental well-being according to Islamic teachings. This approach is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of religion in improving happiness through the principles of gratitude taught in Islam.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are distinctive Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, with historical roots derived from Hindu-Buddhist traditions and the process of Islamization. This article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the history and development of pesantren, from the early days of their establishment to the modern era. Pesantren play an important role in the formation of individual character, the spread of Islam, and the struggle against colonialism. In their development, pesantren have gone through various challenges, including the colonial period, educational discrimination policies, and technological disruption. The modernization of pesantren allows the integration of religious education with the general curriculum and digital technology. This makes pesantren relevant in facing the challenges of globalization, while still maintaining religious traditions. The article also discusses innovations in modern pesantren, such as the application of technology in learning and management, so that pesantren are not only centers of religious education, but also centers of community empowerment. With a historical approach and developmental analysis, this paper offers insight into the future of pesantren as dynamic and adaptive Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Science occupies a very crucial position in the world of education. Not only at the level of epistemology, it is even an explanation of an ontological concept which is manifested in the form of thought patterns. Therefore, knowledge cannot come from a cultural institution, human activity, especially in its efforts to know oneself and the natural surroundings. From there it is known that science, technology and culture have a clear relationship structure. All of them are an inseparable series in their role to fulfill human needs. Meanwhile, technology knows "how" which is related to the contribution of knowledge to something of value, which in this realm falls into the area of ​​axiology, and culture in which there is society as its subject, is a real object, both material and immaterial, from philosophy which falls into the area. Ontology, from these three relationship patterns, constructs absolute relationships that are concrete, both implicitly and explicitly, covering human life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan konseptual untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi mindfulness dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai upaya menumbuhkan kesadaran spiritual siswa. Pendekatan ini menitikberatkan pada praktik seperti tadabbur Al-Qur'an, refleksi nilai, dan muraqabah, yang dirancang untuk memperkuat pembentukan karakter Islami. Kajian ini merekomendasikan agar sekolah mendukung implementasi melalui pelatihan guru serta integrasi program mindfulness dalam kurikulum PAI dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Selain itu, keluarga memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif untuk refleksi dan penerapan nilai agama. Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk menguji efektivitas pendekatan ini secara empiris menggunakan metode kualitatif maupun kuantitatif guna memperluas pemahaman mengenai dampaknya terhadap pembentukan spiritual dan karakter siswa. Dengan konsep ini, diharapkan strategi pembelajaran Islam dapat semakin memperkuat keseimbangan antara kecerdasan intelektual dan kesadaran spiritual siswa, menjawab tantangan pendidikan modern
