Abstract

The research area is the Upper Citarik Sub Watershed which is located at 107°49’18,1” E-107°57’27,4” E and 6°55’15.7” S-6°59’34.7” S in the Bandung, Sumedang, and Garut Regency. The research aims to identify the morphometric characteristics of the Upper Citarik Sub Watershed and its implication to the flood potential. The research was conducted through studio analysis using thematic maps such as slope and geological map. Several aspects of the watershed morphometry are used to determine the characteristics of the Upper Citarik Sub Watershed, namely linear aspect (stream order, stream length, mean stream length, stream length ratio, bifurcation ratio, mean bifurcation ratio); areal aspect (drainage density, stream frequency, drainage texture, form factor, circularity ratio, elongation ratio, length of overland flow), and relief aspect (total basin relief, relief ratio). The results showed that the Upper Citarik Watershed consists of 17 Sub Watersheds. In general, all of the sub watersheds have an elongated watershed shape at high relief and relatively steep slope, volcanic rocks composition, and a slow rise in flooding. It indicates that the research area has relatively high resistance to potential flooding. As a catchment area in the Upper Citarum Watershed, it is better if the Upper Citarik Watershed is maintained in order to avoid various natural damages. Therefore, the condition of the Upper Citarik Sub Watershed requires sustainable conservation so that environmental damage does not occur which results in various disasters such as floods, landslides, and others.

Abstract

The need for large number of mine surveyors at PT Timah Tbk. is very much needed until now. This is an embodiment of fulfilling the mandate in the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 26 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Good Mining Engineering Rules, Article 7, “every mining business licence must have the competent mining technical personnel in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations”. As a result of these regulations, PT Timah Tbk. seeks to include its employees in the Training and Certification of the mine surveyor at PPSDM Geominerba. This post-training evaluation method is carried out by using a questionnaire to the alumni of mine surveyor training and certification of PT Timah Tbk. The result of the post-training evaluation specifically found that the Training and Certification of the mine surveyor was considered to be useful and support the work so that the theory obtained can be applied better.

Abstract

Bandung urban area is located in the intra-mountain basin which is part of upstream Citarum watersheds. The aim of the research is to analyse tectonic geomorphology of sub-watershed Ciwidey and Cisangkuy in the southern part of Bandung basin. The method use digital elevation image from DEMNAS combined with geological data. The result shows that the southern part of Bandung basin is tectonically active. This information is significant to evaluate existing spatial planning based on natural hazard point of views.

Abstract

The Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands is a potential area in the mining sector, especially the mineral content of tin ore. To find out whether the mining sector or business field is included in the economic base group and is considered potential as a leading sector in the economy in The Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands, it is necessary to conduct a study of the mining sector through quantitative models of regional economic development planning, namely location quotient and shift share analysis. Based on the results of the analysis using the location quotient (LQ) approach during the analysis period (2013-2019), it shows that the average value of LQ for the mining sector in the aggregate as well as for the part of the mining sector, namely the metal ore mining subsector/field of business, mining and other quarrying, as well as business fields which are business processes that continue from mining activities such as for the non-metallic mineral processing industry and for the base metal processing industry, all of which have an average LQ value above 1. This indicates that mining is a the basic sector and has a major role in the economy of The Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands. While the results of the analysis using the shift share approach show that in the mining sector in aggregate has the fastest growth in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands at 4.04 trillion rupiah compared to the national average growth; base metal industry has a relatively faster growth than the growth of other business fields in the mining sector (Ps> 0); and metal ore mining has the highest competitiveness in regional market share (Ds> 0) compared to all other in The Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands, amounting to 0.667 trillion rupiah.

Abstract

Geothermal business development into electricity energy resources is one of the efforts to develop renewable energy to replace energy resources from fossil. Developing geothermal green field in North Halmahera, North Maluku Province are activities that have risk in the implementation action. The SWOT method will raise some parameters that are risk factors in geothermal field development. Risk parameters are data source of geology subsurface, value of geothermal resources, economic condition (financing), social and culture condition, also environmental impact. Every risk needs to be mitigated in geothermal field development plan. Risk analysis in geothermal filed development uses the risk grading matrix method which is a qualitative analysis method that determine degree of risk based on impact and probability. All risks factor has high to moderate impact with high to moderate probability. Qualitatively, using mitigation, will reduce impact and probability of risks become moderate to low. This support to continue attempt geothermal field development at North Halmahera, North Maluku Province.

Abstract

The implementation of the Mining Frontline Operational Supervisor training at PT Timah which is focused and effective in fulfilling all aspects of the competency dimensions, both in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes, greatly affects the achievement of learning outcomes and the impact of training on the organization in order to improve mining safety performance The Mining Frontline Operations Supervisor training program at PT Timah organized by the Center for Geological, Mineral, and Coal Human Resources Development was able to achieve an adequate level of success in providing the fulfillment of performance capabilities for all competency units of Mining Frontline Operations Supervisor. In the training aspect, generally have a positive perception in all aspects of training instructional design including training curriculum and syllabus, training materials, and training infrastructure. The results of tracing interview and observation instruments on several important indicators in the competency unit of Mining First Operations Supervisor in supporting Mining safety performance such as the implementation of inspection, implementation of job safety analysis, and implementation of planned mining safety meetings provide adequate results for all required criteria both from the perspective competency test and evaluation of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Administratively the area of Mount Slamet is located in Central Java Province. The area has geothermal potential. The purpose of research is to find out the geochemical characteristics of water (type, origin, and equilibrium) and estimate of subsurface temperature (reservoir) geothermal by using methods of observation in the field and analysis of data from the geochemical laboratory results of hot springs. The results showed that the characteristics of the geothermal fluids type from MAPS and MAPP13 were bicarbonate water with the condition as pheripiral waters. MAPCB as a chloride sulfate water type with conditions as steam heated water, while MAPTH as a chloride water type in absorption of low B/Cl steam conditions with dominant Cl content become mature water. The origin of the MAPS, MAPCB, MAPP13 fluids are formed under conditions of absorption of high B/Cl steam with a dominant B content which are interpreted as originating from geothermal fluid, and when they moving to the surface the fluid interacts with the side rocks in its path. In addition, MAPS, MAPCB, MAPP13 are also included in the immature waters zone with high Mg content. This indicates that the three hot springs have intensive experienced mixing and dilution of shallow groundwater rich in Mg. Then, based on the difference in the concentration ratio of Cl/B in hot springs, the research area is interpreted have two reservoirs, namely reservoir A and reservoir B. Then, based on the calculation of the fluid geothermometer, it is estimated that reservoir A has temperature ranges from 149o -158oC, while reservoir B has temperature ranges from 89o -116oC.

Abstract

Potensi sumber daya alam berupa batu andesit di Kecamatan Kokap Kabupaten Kulonprogo cukup besar. Potensi ini diharapkan dapat mendukung berbagai proyek pembangunan di Kabupaten Kulonprogo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan zonasi yang potensial untuk dikembangkan menjadi wilayah penambangan batu andesit. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode evaluasi multi kriteria dengan tahapan menentukan kriteria yang diperlukan, menentukan bobot setiap kriteria dan melakukan analisis spasial. Kriteria-kriteria yang merupakan faktor kemampuan lahan dan faktor kesesuaian lahan antara lain keterdapatan batu andesit, tersedianya akses atau jalan transportasi, dan tata guna lahan saat ini. Keterdapan batu andesit terkait dengan sebarannya pada beberapa formasi batuan yang ada di wilayah tersebut. Akses jalan transportasi kaitannya dengan biaya pengangkutan material hasil penambangan yang mempengaruhi keekonomisan bahan galian tersebut. Tata guna lahan saat ini terkait penggunaan lahan saat ini baik untuk pemukiman, bangunan perkantoran dan sarana prasarana umum, persawahan, kebun dan ladang. Peruntukan lahan terkait adanya kawasan lindung (daerah pelestarian alam dan daerah sempadan waduk) dan kawasan budidaya merupakan sebagai buffer untuk menentukan wilayah tersebut dapat ditambang atau tidak. Berdasarkan faktor-faktor tersebut, potensi batu andesit di Kecamatan Kokap dapat diklasifikasikan dalam 3 zonasi yaitu zona sangat berpotensi untuk penambangan batu andesit 15,02%, zona cukup berpotensi untuk penambangan batu andesit 58,93% dan zona tidak berpotensi untuk penambangan batu andesit 26,05%. Pengembangan wilayah ini tidak dapat terlepas dari faktor kesesuaian lahan dan faktor kemampuan lahan.

Abstract

The appearance of geothermal manifestations in the Nokilalaki area is related to the morphology and geological structure which is influenced by the tectonic activity of the Palu - Koro segment. The study of geomorphic index through the calculation of river branching ratio (Rb), mountain face sinusitis (Smf), valley bottom width ratio - height (Vf) and lineament density (Ld) to determine the relationship of geomorphic index characteristics to the appearance of geothermal manifestations. The research method is remote sensing analysis and geomorphic index analysis on the Indonesian Topographical Map (RBI) and ASTER – DEM images to obtain the main pattern of geological lineaments and geomorphic index values. The value of the geomorphic index describes the level of tectonic activity and permeability in rocks, which plays a role in generating geothermal fluid from a geothermal system at depth to the surface. Based on the combination of geological lineament maps, geomorphic index maps and distribution of geothermal manifestations, the study area has two groups of geothermal manifestations. The area with the main pattern of geological lineament trending northwest – southeast is an area that is not deformed (Rb value: 4.55), active tectonic activity (Smf value: 1.34 – 1.53), high uplift (Vf value: 0.47), low lineament density (Ld value: 0.49 – 0.91), is associated with the appearance of geothermal manifestation groups in the depression edge of the Palu - Koro fault segment in the center of the study area. The main patterned area of ​​the north- northeast-south-southwest geological lineament is a non-deformed area (Rb value: 4, 20), active tectonic activity (Smf value: 1.47), high uplift (Vf value: 0, 22), medium to high lineament density (Ld value: 1.37 – 2.75), associated with the emergence of groups of geothermal manifestations in the hilly area of ​​the edge of the Palu - Koro fault segment in the southwest part of the study area.

Abstract

Kutai Kartanegara is one of the areas with quite a lot of coal. The presence of the coal needs to be done further research on the coal depositional environment. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the depositional environment on coal quality. Methodology of this research form primary data from the results of field mapping and laboratory analysis and added from previous research. Purpose of the research, it is known that the coal depositional environment is upper delta plain, with limnic conditions, the results of the analysis of coal quality are seen from the ash and sulfur content, A3 and A5 coal seams have higher grades than A2 and A4 seams. The quality of coal in the study area is influenced by the conditions of the depositional environment, namely in the form of constituent materials and fluctuating conditions of seawater and geological conditions that develop.
