Abstract

Groundwater exists in a Groundwater Basin (CAT). In a CAT the groundwater process start by enters of the waters (recharge), flows and then exits (discharge). This process is largely controlled by geological factors, the recharge area in a CAT holds an important factor in groundwater management. There are several parameters that will affect the characteristics of a CAT recharge area, which are graduation of rocks, rainfall, soil cover, slope, and unconfined ground water level (Attachment to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 31 of 2018). The five parameters are the basis for this research to study the characteristics of the recharge area through the assessment and weighting method and overlapping to obtain certain values. Bandung Regency and its surroundings from hydrological conditions have high rainfall and are dominated by volcanic rocks that can pass and store water (Sugianti et al., 2016). So it is interesting to examine the characteristics of the recharge area, the results of which can also be used as material for the location of Field Work Practices (PKL). The results of the analysis of the 5 (five) parameters are the conductivity value is in low groups, based on the results of precipitation data analysis, the study area is divided into 2 (two) regions, namely areas with rainfall that have a value of 1000 - 2000 mm / year and areas that have low rainfall <1000 mm / year. The results of the analysis of the soil cover parameters of the study area are divided into 2 (two) groups, with a value of 12 and a group with a weight value of 9, the results of the analysis of the slope parameters obtained by 3 (three) groups, namely regions with values slope <500 , 50 0– 1000 and 100 0– 200 0. Based on the unconfined water table (MAT) parameters in the study area, they are grouped into 2 (two) groups, namely the medium group with a weight value of 2 having a MAT depth between 5 - 10m and a low group with a value of 1 having a depth of MAT <5m. Based on the analysis of the recharge value, the South Bandung area has 3 (three) grounwater recharge areas, namely the main recharge area with a recharge value >33, additional reharge area with a recharge value 30-33, and the affixed area with a recharge value < 30. Main recharge area with value > 33 which is spread in the area around Soreang, Situ Cileunca, and part of Rancaekek is an area that has the potential for groundwater catchment.

Abstract

The implementation of the duties and functions of the organization, over the past few years, the Center for the Development of Mineral and Coal Geological Human Resources held Technical Training in the field of coal which includes Coal Handling Training, Coal Stockpile Management Training, and Blasting Implementation Training at Mineral Open Mine and coal. The Education and Training Program has not yet fully supported the use of low grade coal, due to the unavailability of a curriculum in this regard. Through the Causal Map analysis and mapping, it is known that the causes of the problems mentioned above are: the curriculum for the training of low-grade coal processing has not yet been prepared, which is caused by a specific problem: the unavailability of curriculum standards for technical training in the field of coal which includes the use and increase of the added value of low-grade coal. Furthermore, by conducting a USGR analysis, an alternative problem solving is obtained, namely by completing the existing coal training technical program through the preparation of a curriculum for coal preparation and washing training. The organization had the potential to overcome the main problems faced, a coordinated work plan was developed which included setting targets, indicators, programs and activities for the preparation of the Coal Training for Preparation and Coal Washing.

Abstract

This research was conducted in an quarry andesite mining, which has a single slope with a height of 46m-48m. the degree of slope approximately from 860-900. The rock mass condition at the research location is a jointed rock with joint length was recorded along the scanline between 0.5 m-17m and have a joint spacing between 6cm-190cm. At shallow depths, the rock failure are more controlled by discontinuities. The research is concern on the relationship between slope stability and the persistence condition (K) of the discontinuous. Persistence (K) is the ratio between the joint length (JL) to the length of the failure plane, the failure plane is a combination of the length of joint and the rock bridge. Rock bridge (RBR) is defined as an area of intact rock that separates coplanar and non-coplanar discontinuous planes in the rock mass. To determine the effect of discontinuous persistence on slope stability, persistence modeling was carried out using the average of joint length measurement results and analyzed using the finite element method. The final results of the study showed that an increase in the average persistence of 10% affected a decrease in the safety factor (FK) by 6.7%, an increase in the value of landslide probability (PL) by 59%, and an increase in normal stress by 7.3%. There was a significant change in FK and PL when the persistence is greater than 80%.

Abstract

It has often happened that victims have fallen or been trapped in tall buildings that are on fire, due to the delay in the evacuation or rescue process by the existing external rescue team due to access to the fire location that is not smooth due to traffic jams or indeed limited access, such as narrow roads or unavailability of rescue facilities. fire emergency on site, or insufficient available facilities. The weaknesses of the current emergency rescue system need to be anticipated by providing alternative independent rescue methods that can be carried out by the building occupants themselves. This scientific study aims to determine whether the training for survival in emergency conditions in tall buildings using ascending and descending techniques is needed by residents of tall buildings, the research method used is descriptive qualitative method, from the research it was found that the training for this method of self-rescue is very important, needed and can be given in the form of short 2–3 days training or 1 day technical guidance repeatedly.

Abstract

The upstream part of the watershed (DAS) extremely affects the downstream area, one of the erosion processes in the upstream and sedimentation processes in the downstream. This must be considered because excess sedimentation from downstream could potentially cause flooding. The rocks in the study area are dominated by volcanic rocks with various levels of resistance to erosion, from highly resistant lava to highly volatile volcanil materials. The research was conducted with studio analysis, laboratory analysis, normalization and correlation tests. The results of the study shows that the area has various values of erosion and sedimentation, because the Cimanuk watershed has various rock types due to volcanism. However, the value of erosion and sedimentation are directly proportional and highly correlated, this proves that indeed erosion in the upstream part highly affects sedimentation in the downstream part of the Cimanuk watershed.

Abstract

The research area is in the Sarimukti region, Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Geographically is at 107 ° 19’51.9024 “EL—107 ° 22’34.9392” EL and - 6 ° 49’56.7156 “SL —-6 ° 47’14.8344” SL. The research area is hill which is dominated by volcanic rock. Based on the physiographic aspects, the research area is include in Bandung Zone. Geological mapping aims to determine the geomorphological conditions in the construction of landfill site in the research area using field and studio approaches. Some of the methods used include geomorphological aspects as well as an assessment of the regional stage of the landfill weighting criteria. The results in the research area are the geomorphological unit of volcanic hills gentle slopes, the geomorphological unit of volcanic hills slightly steep slopes, the geomorphological unit of volcanic hills steep slope, and the geomorphological unit of denudational hills slightly slopes. According to the geomorphological and weighting analysis of the regional stage, it is assessed that this land needs to be subjected to a rather heavy technology engineering, or it is moved to land that is deemed more suitable for landfill.
