Abstract

The purpose of this service is to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities, one of which is community service activities, providing education to educators in increasing knowledge about developing learning technology designs, and as a consideration for carrying out sustainable community service activities. The role of learning technology in learning design is complex and varied. Overall, learning technology plays a role as the main driver in designing learning that is more adaptive, interactive and effective. Although, technology has the potential to enrich learning experiences, it also raises concerns regarding the digital divide, teacher capabilities, and curriculum alignment. A balanced approach to instructional design, which combines the power of technology with the wisdom of traditional teaching methods, is essential to achieving effective learning outcomes. The use of learning media to be effective requires the application of an appropriate learning approach. The solution to partner problems, namely one approach that is suitable for the society 5.0 era, is the STEM approach. The basis for implementing community service activities. The results of this service are the success of the target number of service participants, achievement of service goals, achievement of planned material targets, participants' ability to master the material, participants' ability to practice the technology that has been delivered by the service, collaboration between the campus and partners, achievement in improving quality digital-based assessment, achievement in increasing understanding of digital-based media innovation.

Abstract

Di era digital, integrasi teknologi ke dalam pendidikan sangat penting untuk mendorong pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menarik. Alat seperti Canva, aplikasi desain grafis, memberi para pendidik kesempatan untuk membuat materi pengajaran yang inovatif. Namun, di SMA Negeri 2 Banyuasin 1, banyak guru belum sepenuhnya memanfaatkan Canva untuk mengembangkan modul pengajaran yang menarik secara visual, sebagian besar karena kurangnya keterampilan desain. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, sebuah inisiatif pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam merancang modul pengajaran yang kreatif melalui program pelatihan desain grafis yang diikuti oleh 28 pendidik. Pendekatan tersebut menggabungkan instruksi teoritis, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi desain peserta. Hasil dari evaluasi tersebut mengungkapkan peningkatan substansial dalam keterampilan desain, dengan skor rata-rata peserta meningkat dari 57,22 menjadi 86,44. Hasil ini menyoroti keberhasilan pelatihan dalam memberdayakan guru untuk menghasilkan materi pengajaran yang lebih efektif dan inovatif, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada peningkatan pengalaman belajar di kelas.

Abstract

The training on the use of Powtoon and BookCreator aims to improve the skills of English teachers in utilizing digital technology for learning. Attended by 25 Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers, this activity consists of two main sessions: making animated videos with Powtoon and compiling interactive e-modules using BookCreator. On the first day, participants learned to make learning videos with Powtoon and upload the results to YouTube. On the second day, the training focused on creating digital teaching materials using multimodal features in BookCreator, such as text, graphics, audio, and video. This training received a positive response from the participants, who were actively involved in the practice sessions and showed high motivation to develop their competencies in digital teaching. The evaluation showed a high level of satisfaction, with teachers feeling that this training was relevant and useful for their English teaching. This training helped them adapt technology in learning, which is expected to increase student participation and interest in class. The final results are learning videos and e-modules that are ready to be used in class as interactive teaching media.

Abstract

This research analyzes the development of the profile of Pait Village in Kasembon District, Malang Regency, as a sustainable village to improve welfare through local potential. Pait Village has great opportunities in the agriculture and tourism sectors, but limited promotion, and digital literacy are the main obstacles. This research used descriptive qualitative methods with case studies and virtual ethnography, involving village officials, communities, tourism managers, tourists, and digital marketing experts. Village profile development was carried out by making promotional videos, from pre-production to distribution through social media. The results show that village profile videos attract tourists and increase sales of local products. However, challenges remain, such as poor infrastructure and lack of community participation due to low digital literacy. The conclusions emphasize the importance of sustainable promotion strategies, infrastructure improvements, and active community participation.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the spread of religious teachings. 'Aisyiyah Branch (PRA) Joyosuran faces challenges in the cadre and members' understanding of compulsory worship in accordance with Tarjih Muhammadiyah. This service program aims to improve 'Aisyiyah members' understanding of compulsory worship through workshops and the use of the Kader-Mu digital application. The methods used include Focus Group Discussion (FGD), workshop and practice, and evaluation using pretest and posttest. The results obtained showed an increase in members' understanding after participating in the activity, with an increase in the average pretest score of 84 to 95 in the posttest. Statistical evaluation through paired t-test showed a significant increase in members' understanding of Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. Thus, this program makes a real contribution in supporting digital da'wah and strengthening regeneration in the 'Aisyiyah environment, especially for the Joyosuran branch.

Abstract

Technological advancements have brought teenagers closer to social media. However, massive exposure to social media without adequate digital intelligence, can lead to various problems, such as the rampant spread of hoaxes, hate speech, propaganda, and radicalized content. This has the potential to affect the way teenagers think and behave. This condition was experienced by teenagers in Karangwuni Village, Sukoharjo Regency, as partners of this activity. Based on the situation analysis, it was found that the low digital literacy among teenagers resulted in a lack of critical awareness in responding to information circulating on social media. This program aims to strengthen digital intelligence as a foundation for teenagers to be able to think creatively and critically in social media. The methods used was socialization, focus group discussions, and mentoring to improve participants' understanding and skills in filtering information, avoiding the negative impacts of social media, and optimizing digital media for self-development. The results showed participants' understanding increase about digital intelligence, social media ethics, and critical strategies in dealing with information in the digital world. In addition, the implementation of this understanding is reflected in changes in participants' attitudes and behaviors in utilizing social media more responsibly and productively. These findings indicate that strengthening digital intelligence can be a key factor in shaping a young generation that is not only adaptive to technological developments, but also able to use social media creatively and critically

Abstract

Microenterprises (MSEs) in Gandu Village have great economic potential, but still face challenges in improving competitiveness and sustainable growth. The main problems faced by UM actors include limitations in preparing business strategies, inefficient production management, and low utilization of digital technology in marketing. One of the businesses facing these challenges is Bu Nor's Krecek Krupuk UM. The purpose of this service activity is to increase partners' capacity in formulating effective business strategies, increasing production efficiency, utilizing digital technology for marketing, and improving financial management to encourage sustainable business growth. The method used is a participatory approach through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, which actively involves partners in the entire process. The results of this activity show an increase in the understanding and skills of business actors in developing business strategies, applying digital marketing techniques, and improving production management. Post-training evaluation shows that the strategies that have been developed are able to help businesses increase production capacity and competitiveness in the market. With this training and mentoring, UM Krecek Krupuk Bu Nor is expected to develop sustainably, improve the quality and quantity of its products, expand its marketing reach, and increase its income.

Abstract

Teacher competency development needs to be continuously trained and improved. The results of observations and findings show that there are still many teachers who have difficulties in creating effective learning media, especially in adapting technology to increase the attractiveness and understanding of students. Therefore, systematic training is needed to improve teachers' competence in creating innovative learning media. One of the solutions offered is the use of photonovela, an image and text-based learning media that resembles comics, which can help present teaching materials in a more interesting and easy-to-understand manner. This training program is designed to provide teachers with conceptual understanding and practical skills in creating photonovela media using Canva. This training is carried out through three main stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of training results. The methods used include material presentations, discussions and questions and answers, as well as direct practice by participants. The results obtained show that this training has succeeded in improving teachers' competence in using Canva to create photonovelas as a learning medium. Teachers who take part in the training are able to create learning media that are more creative, interesting, and in accordance with the needs of students. Thus, this program is expected to have a positive impact on improving the quality of learning in Limbangan District, Garut.

Abstract

Using a disclosing agent to control plaque is one way to improve dental health and oral tissue. However, this material is not widely known to the public. Red dragon fruit, a mainstay commodity in Blitar Regency, contains betalain which can be used as an alternative disclosure agent. Therefore, the people of Blitar Regency need to be empowered to maintain dental and oral health regarding the potential of dragon fruit as an alternative natural ingredient. The aim is to provide education regarding the potential benefits of dragon fruit as a disclosure agent. The strategy used in this activity is dual media intervention by dentists, namely by using interactive lectures with PowerPoint media and booklet media to community groups in, Blitar Regency. To measure the level of knowledge of the target community, questionnaires were given before and after the activity, as well as checking the OHI-S index. The research results showed that the level of the OHI-S index was in the medium category, while the level of community knowledge showed an increase of 56.78% after being given counseling. This shows that providing dental and oral health education using PowerPoint media and booklet media has proven to be effective in increasing public knowledge. Therefore, it can be concluded that providing education on the use of red dragon fruit as a disclosing agent to the people of Blitar Regency has proven effective in increasing knowledge, so it is hoped that it can improve the community's dental and oral hygiene.

Abstract

Advances in the dissemination of information technology have opened up wide opportunities for people to access and disseminate information quickly and effectively. It is almost similar to what is done by the MAN 1 Garut journalistic Crew Community or what is referred to as organizational socialization media that disseminates information in the school environment. However, based on the results of observations, there is a problem experienced by the community, namely the lack of skills and understanding in good and correct journalistic practices, such as in terms of news writing techniques with the inverted pyramid concept, then in writing headlines, photojournalistic captions and interview techniques accompanied by media literacy. With these problems, this Community Service aims to help develop students' skills in the field of journalism, especially in terms of writing news so that it can encourage the formation of quality journalistic products and in accordance with the code of ethics in it. The methods used in this training are Preparation, Implementation, Discussion Forum and Evaluation, and in the three sessions are accompanied by a question and answer system between the speaker and the participants. The training, which was attended by 34 members of the Journalistic Crew, brought significant changes in the cognitive aspect. The results of the training show that participants have been able to write news with the concept of an inverted pyramid in accordance with the rules of journalistic language so that there is an increase in skills and understanding from previously limited now become more aware of other journalistic works.
