Abstract

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pasar OnlinePakcycommunity in thePakuanRegency residential area expanded significantly; however, home-based online food production has largely operated without adequate oversight and limited knowledge of halal compliance, food safety, and hygienic processing. These conditions highlighted the need for holistic training and mentoring to improve product quality, halal literacy, and digital marketing professionalism among local micro food enterprises. This community empowerment program aimed to strengthen microenterprises through integrated training on halal ingredients, healthy food processing, appropriate packaging, and digital marketing. The program involved 40 participants and applied a holistic approach combining lectures, hands-on practice, and post-training mentoring. Knowledge gains were measured using pre- and post-tests, while short-term impacts were assessed through a follow-up survey conducted two months after training and observation of participants' activities in the community's WhatsApp group as a marketing platform. Results showed an increase in knowledge. Survey findings indicated high perceived usefulness, increased self-confidence, and improved understanding of halal principles. Observations revealed better promotional images, clearer pricing, and more effective communication. Overall, integrated training supported by digital community platforms enhanced knowledge and marketing practices, contributing to more competitive, halal, and sustainable micro food businesses.

Abstract

Community health volunteers are vital for diabetes management within primary healthcare, but traditional training models often limit their educational progress. This study evaluates the efficacy of an ADDIE-structured digital curriculum and e-module, RUMSDIAM (Rumah Sehat Diabetes Mellitus or Diabetes Mellitus Healthy Home), to boost diabetes literacy among volunteers. A quasi-experimental pre-post test control group design involved 50 participants; the intervention group engaged with the RUMSDIAM e-module, while the control group utilized conventional materials. Results: RUMSDIAM received superior validation from experts and exhibited usability. Post-intervention scores surged, significantly outperforming the control group. The experimental group achieved a high N-Gain and an extremely large effect size. The RUMSDIAM digital curriculum effectively empowers grassroots health workers. This study contributes to science by establishing a systematically validated digital model that bridges the gap in structured education for community-level volunteers, confirming that systematic digitalization offers a transformative pathway for health technology integration in community settings.

Abstract

The family is the smallest level at which human development in Indonesia remains inadequate. When the responsibilities of each family member are well-fulfilled, and a sound management system supports the household's quality of life, family welfare can be considered good. For human development to succeed, men, especially heads of households, must actively participate in providing for the family's basic needs. Due to Indonesia's patrilineal cultural framework, women are underrepresented in human development initiatives. Consequently, Dasawisma (village-based community development programs) serves as a means of empowering women to improve household living standards. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the quality of life of urban households through Dasawisma can improve overall human development in Wenang District, Manado City. Data were collected directly from respondents using standardized instruments as part of a quantitative approach utilizing explanatory research. The results of statistical findings show in the t-Test that the Protecting variable (X3) is greater than the Enabling (X1) and Empowering (X2) variables so that it is the most dominant among the three and significant for household quality, this is also in line with the positive regression coefficient which shows that the higher the role of Protecting (X3) felt by the household, the higher the quality of life achieved.

Abstract

Local wisdom is very important for maintaining cultural identity and social values in traditional communities, especially in the face of rapid social change and globalization. This paper will determine the social values inherent in the Wetu Telu local wisdom of the Bayan community in North Lombok, as well as considering how it can be applied to school education. In this study, a qualitative approach was used. In-depth interviews, participant observation, focus group discussion, and document analysis were used as methods of collecting data. Eight informants were chosen for the study: customary leaders, religious leaders, and community elders. The results indicate that Wetu Telu indigenous wisdom consists of eight fundamental social values: religiosity, cultural preservation, cooperation, kinship, politeness, responsibility, solidarity, and morality. These values are reflected in traditional practices, community events, and daily social engagements, and form a moral code that guides community living. Moreover, these values apply to formal education, especially in the emphasis on character education and cultural responsiveness in learning. This research contributes to the development of local wisdom research through the systematic classification of the social values inherent in Wetu Telu. Moreover, it provides a theoretical connection between regional prudence and institutional educational practices, thus contributing to culturally based education.
