Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of influencer marketing and TikTok content strategy on purchasing decisions for Elformula skincare products, with trust as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected from 118 respondents through a questionnaire designed using a Likert scale. The analysis method involved multiple linear regression and mediation test. The results showed that influencer marketing and TikTok content strategy significantly influenced trust and purchase decision. Furthermore, trust was shown to partially mediate the influence of influencer marketing on purchase decisions, as well as partially mediate the influence of TikTok content strategy on purchase decisions. These findings confirm the importance of brands' collaboration with credible influencers and development of authentic and engaging content strategies on TikTok, not only to drive direct purchases but also to build and maintain consumer trust. This research provides important insights for brands in optimising their digital marketing strategies in the competitive skincare market.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the role of Perum BULOG on community food security in Jambi City, with the effectiveness of the Food Supply and Price Stabilization Program (SPHP) as a mediating variable. Food security is determined not only by food availability but also by people’s economic access to food at stable and affordable prices. In Jambi Province, limited local rice production and dependence on interregional supply make rice prices vulnerable to fluctuations, which can threaten household food security, especially among low-income groups. Therefore, BULOG plays a strategic role in procurement, storage, distribution, and price control of rice to maintain supply and price stability. This research applies a quantitative approach using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to residents of Jambi City and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with SmartPLS software. The study is based on Entitlement Theory and Program Effectiveness Theory, which explain how government intervention and program performance affect community access to food. The results show that the role of BULOG has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of the SPHP program and on community food security, while the effectiveness of the SPHP program significantly affects food security at the 10% significance level but does not mediate the influence of BULOG’s role. These findings indicate that food security in Jambi City is directly influenced by BULOG’s operational functions than by the indirect mechanism of SPHP effectiveness. Keywords: Role of BULOG, Food Security, SPHP Program Effectiveness, Price Stabilization, Jambi City.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing Generation Z college students' adoption of e-wallets for purchasing fashion items in Manila-based colleges. With the rapid rise of digital payment systems and the growth of e-commerce in the fashion industry, understanding the variables that affect e-wallet adoption among this demographic has become essential for both academic institutions and industry stakeholders. Using a quantitative research design, the study primarily employs descriptive correlational analysis and surveys for data collection, utilizing a 1-6 Likert scale, where 1 indicates the lowest agreement and 6 indicates the highest. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was applied to assess the relationships between the key constructs. The results highlight that Behavioral Intention is a critical determinant in the adoption of e-wallets among Generation Z students, especially for purchasing fashion items. Moreover, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Security were found to directly influence e-wallet usage, with these effects being significantly mediated by Behavioral Intention. This research provides important insights for both educators and industry stakeholders. For academic institutions, the findings suggest the need to incorporate digital payment education into curricula to foster a better understanding of emerging payment technologies. For fashion e-commerce businesses and payment providers, the study underscores the importance of enhancing Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Security to increase the adoption of e-wallets. Tailored marketing strategies that emphasize convenience, security, and utility could drive greater engagement with this tech-savvy demographic, ultimately improving user satisfaction and sales performance in the fashion sector.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technology has transformed marketing strategies, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok. Short-form video content and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) have become important factors that influence consumer behavior and purchase interest. This study aims to analyze the influence of short video marketing content and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) on TikTok on consumer purchase intention toward Makarizo haircare products. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed via Google Form to 250 active TikTok users in Indonesia aged 18–34 years who had seen or recognized Makarizo marketing content. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS through descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that short video marketing content has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, with a regression coefficient of 0.810 and significance value of 0.000. Electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) also has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, with a regression coefficient of 0.183 and significance value of 0.000. Simultaneously, marketing content and E-WOM significantly influence purchase intention, with an F-value of 1585.922 and significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that both variables explain 92.8% of the variation in purchase intention. These findings suggest that effective short video marketing strategies combined with credible electronic word of mouth can significantly enhance consumer purchase interest toward Makarizo haircare products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of skeptical attitudes and online customer reviews on the purchase intention of Somethinc skincare products among Generation Z in Jambi City, both partially and simultaneously. This research uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of Generation Z in Jambi City who have used Somethinc skincare products, with a total sample of 96 respondents. The research data were obtained by distributing online questionnaires and were processed using IBM SPSS version 30. The analytical tools employed include validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests (normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test), multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing (partial test, simultaneous test and coefficient of determination). The results show that, partially, skeptical attitudes have a negative effect on purchase intention, while online customer reviews have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Simultaneously, skeptical attitudes and online customer reviews significantly influence purchase intention. Thus, the better the online customer reviews and the lower the level of consumer skepticism, the higher the purchase intention for Somethinc skincare products among Generation Z in Jambi City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital stimuli, specifically Influencer Credibility and User-Generated Content (UGC), on the Purchase Decisions of Somethinc products, with Brand Trust serving as a mediating variable. Focusing on Generation Z, data were collected from 133 students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jambi University, using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0. The results reveal a counterintuitive finding: Influencer Credibility has a negative and non-significant direct effect on Purchase Decisions (β = -0.162, p > 0.05). Conversely, User-Generated Content and Brand Trust exert a positive and significant influence. Crucially, Brand Trust is proven to fully mediate the relationship between Influencer Credibility and Purchase Decisions, as well as partially mediating the impact of UGC. These findings suggest that for educated and critical consumers like Generation Z, influencer presence alone is insufficient to trigger transactions; rather, it must be validated by authentic user experiences and established brand trust. The model demonstrates a substantial predictive power with an R-square value of 61.6% for Purchase Decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management strategy of PT PP Bajabang Indonesia in increasing labor productivity through an approach to internal and external factors of the company. The study used a mixed method, namely a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 workers to measure variables of work motivation, work discipline, work environment, and labor productivity. Analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation. Meanwhile, qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with management and field supervisors to identify strategic factors that influence productivity. The research results show that work discipline has the strongest influence on workforce productivity, followed by work motivation and the work environment. Qualitative findings reveal that the main obstacles to increasing productivity lie in fluctuations in workforce performance, a suboptimal monitoring system, and limited skilled labor. Based on the SWOT analysis, recommended priority strategies include improving workforce training and certification, strengthening the production monitoring system, and implementing performance evaluation based on measurable indicators. This study concludes that increasing labor productivity requires integration between strengthening human resources, effective monitoring systems, and management strategies based on analysis of the company's internal and external environment.

Abstract

This study examines the optimization of User Generated Content (UGC) as a digital marketing strategy for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Sungai Penuh City, Indonesia. Using quantitative analysis of secondary data from e-commerce platforms, including 1,250 consumer reviews and interaction data, this research evaluates the relationship between UGC engagement and consumer purchasing decisions. Sentiment analysis reveals that 78% of UGC related to local SMEs carries positive sentiment, while Structural Equation Modeling demonstrates significant relationships between UGC exposure, consumer trust (β=0.67, p<0.001), and purchase intention (β=0.58, p<0.001). The findings suggest that strategic UGC implementation can substantially enhance brand awareness and customer loyalty for regional SMEs with limited marketing resources. This study contributes to the growing literature on digital marketing strategies in emerging economies and provides practical recommendations for SME stakeholders in similar regional markets.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of knowledge and experiential marketing on the decision to consume water. This study also aims to analyse the effect of each variable on consumption decisions and to increase students’ awareness of healthy lifestyle practices. Hospital Administration students are expected to serve as role models in promoting healthy behaviour. This study employed a descriptive-verificative design. The population consisted of Hospital Administration students at the Faculty of Medicine, Jenderal Achmad Yani University. The minimum sample size was determined to be 174 respondents; however, 189 respondents were obtained. Data were collected through literature review and questionnaires and analysed using path analysis. The results indicate that students have good knowledge of the health benefits of drinking water, although their understanding of the recommended intake remains limited. Experiential marketing has a positive and significant influence on students’ decisions, while knowledge does not show a significant effect. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence decision-making. These findings suggest that efforts to increase water consumption should prioritise experiential strategies supported by social and environmental factors.
