Abstract

Jl. General Ahmad Yani and Jl. A. Mappangara are at a signalized intersection in Parepare City. Because the traffic flow is quite dense, especially during rush hours, this intersection has the potential to cause accidents, congestion, and delays. This study aims to determine the existing condition of the intersection and the performance of the signalized intersection on Jl. General Ahmad Yani–Jl. A. Mappangara Kota Parepare. The method used is quantitative, namely data management in the form of numbers with data analysis using the MKJI 1997 method, which was carried out in March 2021. The results of the research show that the results of data analysis on traffic flow patterns are busiest on Mondays, with afternoon peak hours at 17.00–18.00 WITA. The value of the number of vehicles on the north arm is 1149 pcu/hour, the east arm is 319 pcu/hour, and the south arm is 705 pcu/hour. Performance that occurs at the intersection with a degree of saturation of 0.92 and an average delay of 53.00 sec/smp. The level of road service on the 3 approaches shows poor service with a LOS (Level Of Service) value on the North arm of 43.2 is E, the East arm is 84.51 is F, and the South arm is E. Where the flow is unstable, the traffic volume is quite heavy.

Abstract

The city of Palu is located in a very strategic area which making it a gateway to connect Central Sulawesi with Kalimantan Island. Pantoloan port developed as a support for the movement but even with the strategic location and enormous potential, this port tends to be quiet with activities that should be present at ports in general. This research aims to determine the level of satisfaction of port users and to analyze the factors that influence its performance. This research using a descriptive method with qualitative approach through distributing questionnaires to respondents which later be analyzed using the Customer Satisfaction Index and Importance Performance Analysis methods. The results of the evaluation study on the performance of Pantoloan Port are that port users are quite satisfied with a percentage reaching 52%. Other factors that greatly influence the level of satisfaction and are priorities in developing port performance are timeliness, accessibility and affordable rates.

Abstract

Flow obstructions often occur in the flow that passes through a pipe installation. As a result, head loss and pressure drop occur which are influenced by fluid friction and changes in the flow pattern of a pipe. However, under certain conditions, frictional resistance is only influenced by fluid viscosity. The aim of this research is to analyze the characteristics of the flow of roughness values ​​in PVC pipes and the flow of roughness values ​​in PP-R pipes using experimental methods carried out in the laboratory. The data that has been collected analyzed using the Reynolds equation, Darcy equation and Bernoulli equation. The research results showed that the characteristic of PVC pipes with the largest froude number value which 0.315 and the smallest which 0.090 were subcritical flow. Meanwhile, the characteristic of the PP-R pipe with the largest froude number value which 0.297 and the smallest which 0.057 were also subcritical flow.

Abstract

Parepare is a commercial city that distributes various types of commodities and industrial products every day to lots of whether inside or outside South Sulawesi. Therefore, the role of warehousing is very important to support the distribution process. This research aims to determine the characteristics and choice of transportation modes for goods and warehouse commodities using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method based on surveys and interviews with 200 respondents. The results of the research show that the characteristics of the transportation modes that used are pick up, 2 axle trucks, 3 axle trucks and trailer trucks, dominated by commodity yields of 56.50%, load prices of 85 - 120 million by trailer trucks and loads above 30 tons with more than 15 hours of travel time. The choice of the most efficient mode of transportation for distributing goods and warehousing commodities is a 2 axle truck with a priority weight percentage of 0.30%.

Abstract

Plastic waste is one of the most complex problems especially in the Parepare region. Recycling of plastic waste is rare, so the number of garbage piles increases annually. Paving block made from PET plastic waste is one form of effort to reduce the accumulation of plastic waste. The non biodegradable properties of polyethylene cause the plastic aggregate in paving block not to be easily crushed, so it can keep paving block density over a long period of time. The purpose of this study was to determine the stability and compressive strength of paving blocks made of plastic with a variation of 50% PET, 75% PET and 100% PET with bendrat wire fiber, and to find out what the proportion of plastic and sand is in the paving block mixture, which results in optimal compressive strength. The method used is the experimental trial and error method, by experimenting directly in the laboratory. The experiment in question is to make comparisons of the variables studied, so as to produce conclusions that are correlated with the variables studied. From several variations of the planned pet percentage, only 1 variation has stability, namely the 50% PET variant, and the most optimal proportion of plastic and sand is found at 50% PET. The compressive strength obtained is 14.72 MPa for the cube test object and for the paving block specimen it has a compressive strength of 10.16 MPa.

Abstract

Limestone is one of many potentials in Indonesia, especially Suppa Kab. Battery Rating. The use of lime minimizes the use of cement mixed with fly ash. Fly ash in PLTU, especially in Kab. Barru uses coal as fuel and turns its waste into fly ash. The aim of this study was to determine the efficiency of using fly ash and lime as binder in concrete brick mix and to determine the variation of the mixture to give maximum concrete strength. This research method uses experimental method carried out at Muhammadiyah Parepare University's Laboratory of Structural and Materials in March-May, 2023. The results show that the compressive strength test on ordinary concrete is carried out. is 3.26 MPa, AT70%:KA30% of 2.69 MPa, AT80%: KA20% of 2.83MPa, AT90%:KA10% of 4.10MPa. From that, it can be concluded that concrete bricks have AT90% variation. The KA10% reaches the design compressive strength and is suitable for use, while the AT70% variant KA30% does not achieve the designed compressive strength and is not suitable for use.

Abstract

Irrigation is an infrastructure to increase land productivity and increase the intensity of annual harvests, the availability of adequately controlled irrigation water is an input to increase crop production. The Lanrae irrigation area which has 1400 Ha of agricultural rice fields that need water, Lanrae is one of the areas located in Nepo Village, Mallusetasi District, Barru Regency. This research aims to meet the needs of irrigation water for farmers who usually experience crop failure due to lack of irrigation water and to increase the potential of existing agricultural products in the Lanrae area in particular and in Barru Regency in general as well as to overcome complaints from farmer groups who experience a lack of water to increase yields. harvest. This research was conducted in the Lanrae Area, Mallusetasi District, Barru Regency, which was carried out from January to March 2017 using quantitative methods. The results of the research on weirs and irrigation in the Lanrae area of Barru Regency showed that the availability of water in the Lanrae river is currently still sufficient to meet the needs for irrigation water in the Lanrae irrigation area and the utilization of irrigation networks for irrigation water services is not optimal and the efficiency of irrigation water use is very low. As well as the use of irrigation water in the upstream areas tends to be excessive and the use of irrigation water in the middle and even downstream areas is very short of water.

Abstract

Jendral Ahmad Yani Km. 2 road is one of the land transportation accesses that connects between regions in improving the economy and standard of living of the community. This study aims to analyze the geometrics of road bends. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method of analysis using the standards of the Directorate of Highways. The results of the research from the geometric bend results that the road section includes a primary collector function class SCS type bend with provincial road status with type 2/2 UD. The existing geometric conditions of the road section are in accordance with the required standards where there is a vertical alignment of 8.1% and a stopping sight distance of 133.36m. Coordination of alignments that coincide does not obstruct visibility.

Abstract

Construction requires strong and abundant materials, so various concrete mixing innovations are needed, such as the use of a variety of coarse aggregate materials. This research aims to determine the characteristics, comparison of concrete compressive strength tests and split tensile strength tests of manually broken coarse aggregate concrete with machine broken coarse aggregate using the SNI method at the Structure and Materials Laboratory of the Muhammadiyah University of Parepare. The research results show that the characteristics of manually broken and machine broken coarse aggregates meet laboratory material testing standards. The compressive strength value of manually broken coarse aggregate concrete is 24.63 Mpa and machine broken coarse aggregate concrete is 25.19 Mpa. The splitting tensile strength value of manually broken coarse aggregate concrete is 4.778 Mpa and machine broken coarse aggregate concrete is 5.444 Mpa. The use of machine-broken coarse aggregate produces higher compressive and tensile strength values for concrete compared to manually broken coarse aggregate.

Abstract

Construction of the BJ Habibie Floating Mosque influences the volume and system of traffic movement, the existence of high efficiency has an impact on increased traffic flow and demands the provision of a road network. The aim of this research is to identify the performance of roads and intersections and also to determine the impact on traffic due to the construction of the BJ. Habibie Floating Mosque by using the MKJI 1997 analysis. The results showed that the heaviest traffic flow on the Mattirotasi road section occurred on Saturday at 16.00 until 17.00 WITA with a traffic volume of 220.1 pcu/hour, a v/c ratio of 0.11 and Level of Service A with average vehicle speed 28.77 km/hour. Massepe road section occurred on Sunday at 16.00 until 17.00 with a volume of 943.49 pcu/hour, a v/c ratio of 0.30 and Level of Service B with an average speed of 28.06 km/hour.
