Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of Information Technology (IT) on the audit and internal control processes of an organization. The research method employed is a literature review, involving the collection of data from various sources such as books, scholarly journals, and other references related to the research topic. After data collection, an interaction analysis is conducted, comprising data reduction, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis indicate that the use of IT has a significant impact on the internal control of an organization. Information technology plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of the audit process through faster data collection, more accurate data analysis, and more systematic report presentation. Furthermore, information technology also enables the improvement of data validity through techniques such as triangulation and increased diligence. Thus, this research provides new insights into the role of information technology in the audit and internal control processes, highlighting the importance of considering the positive impact of IT in enhancing the efficiency and validity of audit processes.

Abstract

In coal mining, vehicles are used that have a large physical shape so that they can carry quite a lot of material so that it doesn't take a long time to mine. A lot of fuel is used during mining. Mining units have an identification mark in the form of a unit number as the vehicle's identity. attached to the vehicle and this unit number will later be recorded in fuel usage. Due to the large amount of fuel consumed by each unit, a lot of data is collected and needs to be processed. In this study, researchers used the clustering method with the k-means algorithm. -means Clustering begins by determining the number of clusters. This research uses two clusters. The results obtained from this grouping are, units in the day shift have a higher consumption amount, namely 217 liters per unit, while units in the shift have a total consumption of 147 liters. per unit with an ARI value of 0.5399218293207123 and an NMI value of 0.6565191143081124.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the approval document management process by implementing time classification techniques using Naive Bayes. Naive Bayes classification is a data classification technique that utilizes probability theory and statistics to predict future probabilities based on Accounting Voucher approval document data from January to April 2023. This study focuses on the application of the Naive Bayes algorithm for time classification, aiming to provide innovative solutions for PT. Kideco Jaya Agung in the mining industry. Attributes used in the Naive Bayes classification method include document type, document number, document status, and time difference. The research results indicate that the probabilities of the 'On Time' and 'Late' classes are approximately 0.9737 and 0.0263, respectively, with an accuracy rate of 97.67441860465115% or 98%.

Abstract

Official travel managers must reopen documents that have been archived if they need to get an official travel report within one month because this results in the system being less effective and efficient both in terms of material and time. If official travel data is lost or damaged due to poor storage processes and making official travel reports which takes quite a long time, the document must be reopened.

Abstract

The efficiency of the production process is highly dependent on various factors, including the availability of raw materials. Therefore, every company is faced with the demand to enhance its managerial performance at all organizational levels, aiming to overcome various emerging challenges, especially those related to the production process. PT. Energi Agro Nusantara is confronted with the need to improve its raw material stock management to ensure compliance with market demands accurately and timely. The company is currently facing constraints, particularly in controlling product inventory, especially in terms of accurate calculations or predictions. This research is conducted to optimize the inventory of raw materials, specifically salt and urea, with the objective of meeting consumer needs. Forecasting methods are employed to determine the required daily production quantity. Furthermore, this research also aims to design a raw material control strategy to determine the necessary order quantities, ensuring that raw material inventory is maintained in accordance with production plans and forecasting results.

Abstract

PT ABC is a company engaged in the distribution of various kinds of building materials, wood construction materials, chemicals, office machines, glass, porcelain, cement, household equip-ment and supplies, and dairy products. The aim of this research is to meet fluctuating product demand. In this article, there are four forecasting methods used based on historical data graphic patterns, namely Naïve, Simple Moving Average, Weighted Moving Average, and Exponential Smoothing. Then, the best forecasting method with the smallest error rate was determined for the X Brush product at PT ABC. From the research results, it is known that the forecasting graph has a trend pattern due to an increase or decrease in data in the long term. The appropriate method for forecasting is using the Exponential Smoothing method with α = 0.1 with a Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) value of 132.48, Mean Square Error (MSE) of 21981, and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 61.73%%..

Abstract

The quality of industrial products in Indonesia is currently struggling in terms of product quality control. In ongoing production activities, there are bound to be defects in the product. To reduce this problem in production activities, there are several things that need to be paid attention to. Six Sigma (DMAIC). Six Sigma is a quality improvement program that provides tolerance for defective products and is able to reduce product defects. This data collection was carried out by field observation and interviews with workers and heads. This data collection was carried out by field observations and interviews with workers and heads of KSU Tabek. From the research results, it was found that the total production produced during August - September was 58,088, and 3115 defective products were found. In the sugar production section, PT Madu Baru PG Madukismo had a sigma level of 3.12 with a possible damage of 53,607 per million production (DPMO).

Abstract

PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya is a regionally owned water company which operates in the field of production and services for the community. In serving the community, customers often complain that they are dissatisfied with the quality of service in the West Technical Services division. This is because they have not implemented a customer approach system. This research aims to minimize the occurrence of incoming customer complaints. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is a method that can be used to minimize customer complaints by approaching customers, explaining customer dissatisfaction with services clearly and politely and providing the best solution to resolve the problem. This method creates a solution where customer complaints about service quality are reduced and makes it easier for the field team to find customer addresses.

Abstract

XYZ is a company operating in the largest shipping manufacturing industry in Indonesia. Apart from that, PT. XYZ also accepts ship maintenance such as overhaul and ship repair work. PT. XYZ launched a ship created by the nation's children, named Ship X. This ship has a big impact because this ship can help provide medical assistance in underdeveloped, remote and frontier areas. However, in the production process of this ship there are still some remaining materials which can be said to be a lot. One of them is cable. To overcome this problem, analysis is needed to find out what factors can influence it and proposals that can solve the problem. In this research, the New Seven Tools analysis method was used. Based on the results of the analysis using the new seven tools method, it was found that the factors causing the large amount of leftover cable material were the lack of accuracy of both staff and field workers in determining material requirements and material processing. So that improvement evaluations can be carried out by determining the design and need for fixed materials in accordance with applicable SOPs, increasing worker productivity, and optimizing material processing during the production process.

Abstract

PT Pertamina Gas is a big company that carries out transportation business or as a gas transporter through a transmission pipe. Gas pipes must be monitored regularly so that they do not experience damage, cracks, corrosion or even leaks. This research was conducted to analyze one of the pipe monitoring technologies, namely corrosion coupon monitoring to detect internal pipe corrosion using a failure mode effect (FMEA) method. Through fishbone identification, corrosion is classified into 6 factors, namely material (related to gas), method, people, machines, pipe facilities, and environment. Based on the FMEA method, it was found that the main cause of corrosion is material factors or comes from gas with a defect severity (S) value of 8, occurrence (O) of 6, and detection (D) of 3, with a total RPN of 144. With this research, it is hoped that the company can prioritize these causal factors and carry out corrosion control.
