Abstract

This research uses the Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) method which is used to evaluate and analyze the causes of problems in the process of adding a new warehouse due to overstorage in the fertilizer storage warehouse. Where in this research it is known that the dominant causal factor that causes this problem is that it is difficult to obtain a warehouse according to the location needed and the warehouse procurement process takes quite a long time. From these dominant problems, alternative improvements were obtained to overcome these problems so that the process of adding a new warehouse could run effectively and efficiently in terms of time and cost

Abstract

Fertilizers support the country's food security through State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), including PT Petrokimia Gresik which is the most complete and largest fertilizer producer in Indonesia and produces several waste products, including industrial waste. The presence of liquid waste in the environment is undesirable because it has no economic value. Therefore, the need for waste disposal is very important. PT Petrokimia Gresik uses physical and chemical treatment. PT Petrokimia Gresik conducts liquid waste treatment through a series of processes consisting of two wastewater treatment units, balancer, line injection, and sludge treatment. The parameters analyzed are chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), ammonia (NH3), total lizard nitrogen (TKN), fluoride, acidity (pH). After the study, the analysis results showed that the data of pollutant levels in wastewater were within the quality standards set by the regulations. However, the results of TKN (Kjeldahl total nitrogen), which is the amount of nitrogen bound to organic matter, were different.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company that produces newsprint and printed writing paper. In its production, the company needs raw materials to support the paper production so that it can be produced optimally. This research is used to find out how companies can optimize production by considering the flow of in and out of chemical raw materials used as materials to produce paper according to consumer wishes.

Abstract

The rapid adaptation of Wearable Communication technology to be applied in various fields has shown a remarkable development profile over the past decade. In this research project, a prototype wearable device operating at a frequency of 2.4 GHz was developed using rice husk fiber composite material to construct a flexible PCB Board as a circuit path and shield for IoT component modules and practically tested. This wearable device is designed to transfer video and image streaming data in indoor and outdoor scopes. The sensing object or location captured using the wearable device placed on the user's shirt is connected to an access point and will send the data to a registered server or authorized receiving station. The first trials of the fabricated wearable devices have shown excellent data transmission conducted in two different environments. The maximum communication range between the wearable device and the access point was 87 meters in the indoor test while in the outdoor test the maximum communication distance was 60 meters. During the communication range, the transmission quality degraded so that the sending signal strength during the indoor test was 398 kb/s and the outdoor test was 299 kb/s.

Abstract

Physics is a science with many similarities in each subject. This research on physics calculations aims to create a simple physics calculator based on Python programming. The purpose of this research is to create an electronic physics calculator (e-KalFisika). E-KalFisika is an application used for digital or electronic physics learning. This application provides learning materials, experimental simulations, practice problems and other features that support the understanding of physics concepts. The e-KalFisika application is only in development to solve the problem of calculating physics formulas. The result is e-KalFisika with better calculation results than manually.

Abstract

A crane is a tool used to make it easier and easier to move and lift goods. This research aims to find a solution when the Joy Stick experiences sudden troubleshooting, how to overcome it, and prevent accidents while working. The creation of this tool is a miniature ship crane using a 220V Ac motor where the fan belt is the connecting part of the movement and can be controlled via a Joy stick. The design of this AC motor control system entirely uses the ESP32 microcontroller as the brain to be able to carry out slewing, luffing and hoisting movements. Researchers used research and development research methods to create and develop this crane prototype with the aim of producing and developing a crane prototype that is effective, efficient and easier to maintain. The test results of this prototype can carry out slewing movements to the left and right with a limit of 800, luffing movements upwards with a limit of 800 and hoisting.

Abstract

Coastal areas are vital areas for fishing activities, and the weather in this area plays a very important role in the safety and efficiency of fishermen's operations. Fishermen on the coast often face the challenges of weather that is changeable and can be very extreme, including strong winds that can cause high waves and unsafe sea conditions. Therefore, the development of a Google spreadsheet-based weather monitoring system for fishermen in coastal areas is very relevant and strategic to support safer and more productive fishing activities. This research aims to make it easier for fishermen to monitor the weather in coastal areas in real time. Testing is carried out by running the system for observation for a predetermined time duration. This research uses an anemometer, DHT11 and raindrop sensors connected to a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller to send data to a Google spreadsheet, with readings of wind speed, temperature, air humidity and rain values. This research was carried out at the Nusantara Prigi fishing port, Trenggalek, challenging the work of anemometer sensors, DHT11 and raindrop sensors. Testing of tools and data obtained by comparing data on wind speed, temperature and air humidity using a digital anemometer and digital thermometer hygrometer humidity. The results of this research are that a Google spreadsheet-based weather monitoring design for fishermen in coastal areas can monitor wind speed, air humidity, temperature and detect rain online using a spreadsheet application and functions well with an average error accuracy of 3%.

Abstract

The application of TCP/IP over fiber optic networks with mesh topology has become an interesting topic in the development of modern network infrastructure. This research aims to explore and apply the basic concepts of TCP/IP via fiber optic technology using a mesh topology in the Cisco Packet Tracer simulation. This research method involves building a virtual computer network consisting of several nodes connected via fiber optic cables. The aim of this research is to understand the reliability, efficiency and performance of networks implemented through fiber optic technology and mesh topology. In the initial stage, a literature study was carried out to understand the basic principles of TCP/IP, fiber optic technology, and mesh topology. Next, using Cisco Packet Tracer, a virtual computer network is built using appropriate hardware and software to simulate a fiber optic-based network with a mesh topology. Experiments were conducted to test network performance in terms of data transfer speed, latency, and connection reliability. Experimental results show that the application of TCP/IP over a fiber optic network with a mesh topology is able to provide reliable and efficient performance. The main advantages of using fiber optic technology are high data transfer speeds and better connection reliability compared to other transmission media. In addition, mesh topology provides high flexibility and redundancy in the network, thereby increasing failure tolerance and increasing network scalability.

Abstract

One of the organs in the body that can help humans maintain balance is the ear. One of the body's main sound-producing organs is the ear, which also produces sound because it has unique receptors that can detect sound waves. However, the frequency range between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz is the high limit that the ear can hear. This is why individuals often experience acute hearing loss after exposure to loud sounds or more than 20,000 Hz. A tool that can detect noise in an area, such as in an engine room, was created to overcome this problem, especially on ships After designing the tool and testing the safety system tool for noise in the engine room based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller, this system became a new technology for monitoring noise in the engine room. Then testing on all sensor readings worked well with an average percentage error on the ship running 0.70% and on the ship stopping 1.19% and the distance between the transmitter and receiver reaching a range of 290 cm without obstructions and with obstructions reaching around 130 cm. After all the equipment is working properly, earmuffs can be used to protect human hearing by educating all crew members to be able to use earmuffs when entering the engine room or going to work.

Mochamad Andri Prassetyo, Design of Fish Sorter Equipment Based on INTERNET of THINGS (IoT). Supervised by Henna Nurdiansari, S.T., MT., M.Sc. and Kuntoro Bayu Ajie, S.Kom., MT. According to data compiled by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the amount of fish produced by Indonesian seas has reached 12.01 million tonnes in 2022. The enormous potential of Indonesian marine products forces the need for technological intervention to help reduce production costs. Improving the quality of the products produced. One of the processes that requires technological intervention is the process of sorter fish that have been caught by fishing vessels and then having to be regrouped according to the weight of the fish. By adopting sophisticated technology and systems in the modern fisheries market, efforts to achieve efficiency and reduce the risk of human error can be increased. Internet of Things (IoT) is a technological concept that has the ability to connect and facilitate the communication process between machines, devices, sensors and humans via the internet network. After conducting Research and Development (R&D), designing an Internet of Things-based fish sorting tool could become a new technology that can increase product efficiency by designing a system, designing tools and testing plans for sorting fish based on measuring the weight of the fish. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the design of an Internet of Things-based fish sorting tool can detect fish entering the container that has been prepared through component testing and after testing the entire tool, data on the results of weight measurements on fish using the fish sorting system can be sent to Google Spreadsheet. So that the data can be accessed publicly by sending a predetermined link.
