Abstract

This research delves into the social status competition observed in Tondon Matallo. The primary focus of the competition revolves around the pricing and quantity of buffaloes purchased and slaughtered during this significant ceremony. Notably, the acquisition of a substantial number of buffaloes, often involving significant financial investment, does not necessarily alter individuals' social status. Consequently, the study aims to elucidate the dynamics of social status competition and identify the factors influencing it in North Toraja, employing Lewis Coser's conflict theory. Adopting a qualitative research methodology. The findings show that social values that previously focused on aspects of togetherness are now prioritised. The rambu solo becomes the main stage for economic competition. The dynamics of social interaction have become more structured and focused on aspects related to competition, creating relationship dynamics that are different from everyday situations. Perceptions of social status that were previously influenced by age, wisdom or positive contributions to the community, are now more related to the financial ability to purchase and slaughter buffalo, creating a shift in perceptions of what is considered prestigious and contributes to social status. As such, social values that previously focussed on aspects of togetherness have shifted during the rambu solo ceremony creating a new perspective on how cultural change can affect community dynamics. This reflects an evolution in the values recognised and valued by the community during such special events.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets included in the sustainable development goals, namely eliminating hunger and all forms of malnutrition by 2030 and achieving food security. Reducing the stunting rate by 40% by 2025 is the target set. Malnutrition, especially during the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK), can result in stunting. Stunting can impact motor and verbal development, increase degenerative diseases, morbidity and death. In addition, stunting can result in stunted growth and development of neuron cells, thereby affecting cognitive development in children. In this research, the method used is a literature study with a method of searching, combining essences and analyzing facts from several scientific sources that are accurate and valid. In the results of this research, we found articles regarding stunting prevention which stated that promotive and preventive efforts using various media and methods could influence knowledge, attitudes and even pregnant women regarding stunting prevention. Providing education in various methods and using it in various educational media can increase knowledge and attitudes and since pregnancy, behavior regarding stunting prevention can be implemented.

Abstract

Learning is an acculturation process, serving as a vehicle for transmitting scientific and national cultures to the next generation, as well as adopting and developing them within a community. Learning itself has its own culture, including traditions, assumptions, and scientific rules, which make it a distinct cultural system. Occasionally, changes in science, technology, and societal needs have led to shifts in the culture of learning. Society is comprised of individuals who form groups based on shared characteristics. For a group to be considered a community, they must have commonalities that distinguish them from other groups and ultimately shape their culture. Culture is the social cement that binds individuals together through shared principles, ideals, attitudes, beliefs, and ways of thinking. The distinction between society and culture is evident, as society cannot exist without culture. In the absence of culture, there can be no community.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what strategies are currently being implemented to develop mukhabarah-based productive waqf in improving the welfare of the people in Bireuen and most importantly to determine the main priority strategy in developing mukhabarah-based productive waqf in improving the welfare of the people in Bireuen. The methods used are SWOT analysis and QSPM. The number of respondents was 6 people and 5 people respectively. Respondents were appointed based on their understanding of waqf, especially regarding the development of productive waqf, both from academics and practitioners. For the SWOT analysis research results, the strategy quadrant after processing the IFAS and EFAS matrix values is a progressive strategy (moving forward). This strategy means that it is necessary to take advantage of existing strengths and opportunities to form a new strategy in developing mukhabarah-based productive waqf. Its strength lies in the principle of productive waqf itself which carries a mukhabarah agreement (agricultural profit sharing), because this can help welfare and increase people's income. The opportunity can be seen from the increase in people's income from the results of waqf rice fields and good economic development which provides opportunities for productive waqf management. And public awareness about waqf continues to increase, especially since this is in line with the public's desire to give waqf. Thus, the main priority strategy that needs to be implemented in the development of mukhabarah-based productive waqf is increasing farmers' income from the results of mukhabarah rice field waqf, by providing training and guidance to farmers to improve agricultural techniques, use of fertilizer, soil management, and selection of superior seeds. increase crop yields significantly.

Abstract

Globalization brings the face of education in Indonesia so close to technological sophistication, progress in thinking and transformation in many aspects. However, the choice of globalization is not without risk, making educational institutions in Indonesia away from tradition and if not filtered, it will bring ideas that are contrary to the values of existing local wisdom. For this reason, Ki Hajar Dewantara's concept of education is offered as a solution to the distortions in the implementation of education in Indonesia. An in-depth study of Ki Hajar's thought can provide enlightenment in designing an education system that is able to answer global challenges while maintaining local wisdom, and one of the fruits of Ki Hajar's thought was the birth of Taman Siswa. Through Taman Siswa, Ki Hajar Dewantara devoted his energy and thoughts for the benefit of Nusa and the Nation. This research aims to examine the concept of glocalization of education in the context of Ki Hajar Dewantara's thought. This research uses a literature review method based on various literature sources, such as books, journals, articles, and official documents related to the concept of Ki Hajar Dewantara, the glocalization of education, and education in Indonesia. The results showed that the concept of global education includes the economic field, namely digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence, the socio-cultural field, namely western culture and also the tradition of thought from the west, and the academic field, namely the adoption of foreign curriculum, mastery of foreign languages, student exchanges, and so on. According to Ki Hajar, this global concept of education must be balanced with the concept of education based on local wisdom as an effort to maintain the identity and identity of the nation. Abstract

This research aims to estimate the expenditure on Toba Batak wedding customs from the initial stages to the traditional wedding ceremony by taking an inventory of various expenditures so that the economic value of the wedding custom can be mapped. The economic value referred to is the value paid by consumers (namely paranak and parboru) for goods and services purchased or consumed or used in marriage customs, especially from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). To collect data, 30 families were selected as research samples with the following criteria: (1) the traditional wedding party was paid for by paranak , (2) the amount of the dowry (sinamot ) was a maximum of 40 million rupiah, (3) the martumpol was held , (4) the traditional party was held in Medan , and (5) paranak and parboru are both Toba Batak people. The sampling method is accidental sampling and data collection starts from March to August 2023. Then the primary data is processed using simple mathematical calculations and analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The research results show a total expenditure of 2,833,900,000 rupiah or an average of 188,926,667 rupiah for each wedding custom. The main source of expenditure is paranak, almost 69% of the total. Meanwhile, the economic value of traditional marriages reached 1,965,600,000 rupiah or an average of 131,040,000 rupiah, namely to pay for goods and service transactions to MSMEs. Paranak contribution to the transaction was around 67% and the rest came from parboru. Assuming 500 marriage customs, the economic value of marriage customs is estimated to reach hundreds of billions in 2023 and become one of the drivers of economic activity, especially for MSMEs in Medan City.

Abstract

As time goes by, the world has experienced many changes. One thing that is very striking is seen in the field of technology. But not in the knowledge of Al-Qur’an. Because it has its own special feature which is that it is eternal until the Day of Judgment. It is different from other worldly sciences because it must follow developments with the times. One way to keep Al-Qur’an is to memorize it. And to memorize the Al-Qur'an, a method is needed to achieve the goal of quality memorization or what is called mutqin. This qualitative research uses primary data obtained through documentation, observation and interview methods, and the analysis uses qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the research show that the application of the Turki Utsmani Method has improved the quality of students' memorization of the Al-Qur'an at the Tahfidz Al Ishlah Islamic Boarding School, Jakarta. The Turki Utsmani method has proven effective in selecting students to become prayer leaders, because they have good memorization qualities and have been proven to become prayer leaders. The memorization system makes the last page of each juz the beginning, making memorization stronger.

Abstract

Globalization is made possible first of all by technology, a technology that is decisive and determined by itself. The possibilities that technology offers allow the world to be in a single whole. Globalization is a reality in our daily lives that can be found easily. Globalization is related to economics, technology, and politics. This paper tries to see this relationship with an emphasis on technology. It is the development of technology that has enabled globalization to change the world and all the relationships in it as they are today. Globalization goes well with the liberal political system and the capitalist economic system. This last thing finally makes globalization as an effort to expand the market or in other words globalization becomes a weapon for capitalism to stick and then stick its nails deeper and deeper in the world. Thus, globalization then turns technology, which initially helped create globalization, to turn into "mere" commodities for humans. However, this paper still sees the possibility of changing technology from a commodity to a right for all citizens of the world. Coclusion, when technology is utilized as capital within the framework of capitalism, any new possibilities constantly offered by technology incarnate as new commodities. The novelty of this research is that resistance to IPR can be used as a small example of efforts to fight capitalism which makes technology a commodity creation system.
