Abstract

The Jonggan performing art, as a cultural heritage of the Dayak Kanayatn community, faces preservation challenges amid shifting gender values and contemporary cultural dynamics, particularly regarding the position and role of women in performance practices. This study aims to analyze the role of women in Jonggan performance as a process of gender value transformation and its implications for the preservation of traditional Dayak Kanayatn performing arts. The analysis is grounded in gender theory and cultural performativity, which conceptualize the body, social roles, and artistic practices as spaces for symbolic meaning articulation and value negotiation. This research employs a qualitative approach using a new ethnographic framework through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation analysis of Jonggan performances conducted in customary rituals and cultural festivals. The informants consisted of ten individuals selected through purposive sampling, with the criteria including community members who had experience in the implementation of local wisdom, as well as community leaders who actively promote and regularly carry out traditional practices and local wisdom. The findings reveal that women’s involvement in Jonggan is not merely visual or aesthetic but represents symbols of fertility, hospitality, and social cohesion rooted in Dayak Kanayatn cosmology, while simultaneously functioning as mediators of gender value transformation in sustaining traditional arts. The novelty of this research lies in its interpretation of women’s roles not only as performers but also as agents of cultural transformation and empowerment within a tradition-based creative economy.

Abstract

This study investigates how post-conflict governance in Poso has been shaped by neopatrimonial practices and how hybrid political orders endure despite the formalization of peace agreements. The research aims to explain the persistence of elite domination in the region by examining the ways in which local actors consolidate their power through control of resources, patronage networks, clientelism, and the mobilization of religious sentiment. To achieve this, the study employs a qualitative explanatory approach, relying on in-depth interviews with key informants, analysis of official documents, electoral results, and secondary materials such as books, journals, and online publications. The findings reveal that while the Malino Declaration of 2001 was successful in reducing the intensity of violent conflict between Christian and Muslim communities, it fell short of producing a more inclusive and democratic political order. Instead, the political arena in Poso remains dominated by a small circle of elites who sustain the status quo and use both formal and informal mechanisms to secure their authority. These dynamics demonstrate that neopatrimonialism continues to influence the post-conflict political landscape, giving rise to a hybrid political order in which democratic institutions formally exist but function in parallel with clientelistic practices and elite-driven governance. The study concludes that without addressing the entrenched neopatrimonial system, post-conflict democratization in Poso will remain limited, and power will continue to circulate within narrow elite networks rather than being shared more broadly across society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Sales Promotion, Paylater Facility, Shopping Lifestyle, and Price on Positive Emotion, Hedonic Consumption, and Impulse Buying among Shopee app consumers in East Java. The phenomenon of increasing impulsive buying behavior in e-commerce is an important issue in understanding modern digital consumer behavior. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to analyze the relationship between variables based on data collected from 140 active Shopee user respondents in East Java. The results of the study indicate that sales promotions, paylater facilities, shopping lifestyle, and price significantly influence consumers' positive emotions. Furthermore, these four variables were also shown to significantly influence hedonic consumption and impulse buying. Furthermore, positive emotions and hedonic consumption were shown to be important determinants in increasing impulse buying among Shopee consumers. This means that attractive sales promotions, easy paylater facilities, a high-quality shopping lifestyle, and appropriate price perceptions simultaneously encourage positive emotions, hedonic consumption behavior, and impulsive buying decisions. The implications of this research suggest that e-commerce players need to continue developing emotion-based digital marketing strategies. Shopee and similar platforms are advised to focus innovation on personalized promotions, increased transaction convenience, and enjoyable shopping experiences to boost consumer loyalty and impulse buying behavior.

Abstract

Understanding the basic concepts of financial literacy and management of MSMEs in Solok Regency is still low, resulting in slow economic growth. The purpose of this study to analyze how community empowerment through financial literacy and management can build sustainable MSMEs in Solok Regency. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with MSMEs in the food and beverage sector as the unit of analysis. The data used are primary data, collected using purposive sampling through surveys and questionnaires from 90 respondents using a Likert scale. Data analysis uses statistical analysis with the Multiple Linear Regression method using the SPSS program, whose stages include: validity, reliability, t, f, and determination tests. The results show that the interaction of financial literacy and management complement and strengthen each other in influencing to performance MSMEs the food and beverage sector in Solok Regency. Between the two variables, financial literacy has a significant influence on MSME performance. Financial management practices demonstrate the need for awareness of the importance of good financial management. However, there is still room for improvement, particularly in financial education, the use of technology, and the development of a more formal management system. Theoretically, the concept of innovation and sustainable knowledge in financial management will enable MSMEs to make wise decisions for the sustainability of their businesses. Practically, these findings imply the importance of training and support from the government or relevant institutions. Therefore, this study makes a significant contribution to community empowerment in MSME development, economic growth, and national development. With an increasingly complex economy and the needs of individuals, groups, and governments, it is crucial for MSME performance to be managed and adapted to developments in science and technology.

Abstract

This study focuses on Stock Price Downside Risk (SPCR) and Stock Price Trends with ESG as a moderator in several companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study aims to bridge the existing knowledge gap in this field, where few studies have addressed the moderating effect of ESG on activity in Indonesia. This study collected samples from the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2017 and 2024 and used System GMM as an instrument. This technique avoids the problems of endogeneity of regressors and unobserved heterogeneity while improving model efficiency. The results show that Stock Price Downside Risk (DUVOL) affects SPCR, while ESG is not statistically significant in decreasing or increasing SPCR. The conclusion of this study is to determine whether ESG as a moderating variable for Activity can predict SPCR. Both proxies failed to show that ESG is statistically significant in moderating Activity in predicting SPCR. The novelty of this study is several important points and steps that researchers might want to take in the future. First, try to divide ESG into three different pillars; E, S, and G to enrich the data and collect more relevant information for each observation point.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the influence of instrumental music on the concentration and intrapersonal intelligence of 1st-grade students at SD Dhammāsoka Banjarmasin in the 2024/2025 academic year, second semester. The selection of SD Dhammāsoka as the research location was based on a gap in previous research that had not specifically delved into the influence of instrumental music on these two aspects in 1st-grade elementary students using a qualitative approach and Classroom Action Research (CAR) method within this school context. The challenges of learning concentration and the development of intrapersonal intelligence in early childhood students are crucial issues that require innovative interventions, and instrumental music is believed to have the potential to create a conducive learning atmosphere and facilitate self-reflection. The research questions include: (1) How does the use of instrumental music affect the concentration of 1st-grade students at SD Dhammāsoka? (2) How can the implementation of instrumental music improve the intrapersonal intelligence of 1st-grade students at SD Dhammāsoka? (3) How effective is the application of Classroom Action Research (CAR) in optimizing learning with instrumental music at SD Dhammāsoka? This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 18 1st-grade students of SD Dhammāsoka and the class teacher as a participant. Data collection was carried out through observation (concentration and intrapersonal intelligence observation sheets), semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and parents, and student reflective journals. The data were analyzed qualitatively using the Miles & Huberman method (data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing) and thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006), as well as quantitatively through a comparison of pretest and posttest results for concentration and intrapersonal intelligence. The research results show that the use of instrumental music significantly increased student concentration, as seen from the increase in the average concentration score from 3.5 (pretest) to 6.8 (posttest). In addition, students' intrapersonal intelligence also experienced a substantial increase, with an average score from 5.2 (pretest) to 9.5 (posttest), demonstrated by students' ability to identify and express feelings, and manage emotions. The application of CAR proved to be very effective in optimizing learning with instrumental music, allowing for continuous improvement and adaptation of strategies based on empirical findings in each cycle. The conclusion of this research is that instrumental music has a positive and significant influence on the improvement of concentration and intrapersonal intelligence of 1st-grade students at SD Dhammāsoka, and CAR is an effective method for implementing this intervention.

Abstract

This study examines the harmony between religious communities in Tridana Mulia Village, Landono District, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, which is inhabited by Muslims, Christians, and Hindus. The purpose of the research is to describe the form of Muslim and non-Muslim relations in social life by emphasizing the aspect of harmony that exists in the midst of diversity. The research uses field research methods using phenomenological and sociological approaches. The results of the study show that harmony is built through positive interactions that are divided into daily relationships consisting of relationships between fellow Muslims and relationships with Muslims. Relations with non-Muslims are established in five main aspects: First, Economy, through the practice of buying and selling and business cooperation without religious discrimination; Second, Communication and social, through open dialogue, solidarity, and mutual cooperation; Third, Politics and government, with an inclusive and meritocratic pattern of political participation; Fourth, Education, through the implementation of multicultural education and religious moderation in schools; and Fifth, Culture, through joint celebrations, mutual cooperation, and respect for interfaith traditions. The associative relationship can be seen in the form of productive cooperation in cross-faith farmer groups. These findings confirm that differences in beliefs are not barriers, but rather a force to build social cohesion. The harmony created in Tridana Mulia Village can be a model for other multicultural regions in developing harmony, tolerance, and cooperation between religious communities.

Abstract

Trisutji Kamal is the first Indonesian female composer to work in the field of 'Indonesian classical music', and her works have become part of the repertoire of various musical performances, concerts, and recitals both domestically and internationally. His compositions are manifestations of personal experience, identity, nationalism, love and beauty, developed using various compositional techniques connected to various trajectories of Western music history. In this position, the author sees Trisutji Kamal as having entered a phase of providing novelty in composition, namely by discussing a 'new' compositional form. This 'new' compositional form has directly opened up a space for discussion regarding aesthetics, appropriateness, temporality, and also interpretation. The Cycle: Hope and Disappointment is a different cycle from those of Schubert and Schumann. Trisutji Kamal presents different times within the cycle and various themes, thus creating a distinct continuity. This certainly impacts the performance and the way the text is conveyed to the audience. According to the author, this is one of Trisutji Kamal's compositional strengths that has not been widely discussed in scholarly discussions and previous research. Through a qualitative approach, this research opens up space to see the relationship between Trisutji Kamal's work and Schubert and Schumann and to discuss different things as part of 'newness' in composition.
