Abstract

The problem parents experience today is being wise parents to introduce smartphones to children. This is what makes parents a dilemma to provide smartphone facilities to children or not. Because there are two influences that will arise when parents provide smartphone facilities to children. First, the positive effect is to support online learning activities, . The second effect is the negative effect, namely the child does not explore the physical environment, the child has difficulty interacting socially, the child gets emotional easily and the memory decline due to prolonged. In this service activity, there will be counseling to parents about how to wisely introduce smartphones to children. The target of this service is the parents of Al Amin Foundation Kindergarten Kediri and carried out on November 12, 2019. Material and assistance about wisely introducing smartphones to children can generate knowledge and insights to parents on how to wisely introduce smartphones to children. A wise way to introduce smartphones to children is to allocate time for children to play smartphones, make smartphones as learning tools containing educational applications, provide assistance to children when using smartphones, and be selective in choosing smartphones for children.

Abstract

Counseling on character education adaptation of Thomas Lickona at SDN Gayam 3 is a community service that aims to provide information on the importance of character education in elementary schools and collect information on the implementation of character education at SDN Gayam 3. three aspects, namely knowledge (moral knowing), feelings (moral feeling), and action (moral action). These three aspects are coherent and comprehensive. All three are interconnected and used together. In addition, in the question and answer activity, it was stated that Huru had carried out character education as stated by Thomas Lickona, but did not know that there was a theory. In addition, character education is not only the responsibility of the teacher, but also the responsibility of parents and the environment in which students live. This is known as the tri education center.

Abstract

Counseling to parents about building resilient character in elementary school children. An outreach activity that aims to provide information to parents on the importance of building resilient character in children. Resilience character is a child's ability to adapt to all environmental conditions. Resilient character needs to be built from an early age so that children have a strong mentality and do not give up easily. This extension activity uses a survey method using a questionnaire before the extension begins and after the extension is carried out. A survey questionnaire to find out the understanding of parents' guardians about the character of resilience before being given counseling and understanding of parents after counseling and the benefits of participating in the counseling. The results of the counseling show that of the 30 parents of parents who took part in the counseling, they did not understand what resilient character was. After counseling, all parents understand the character of resilience, express the benefits of resilience and various opinions in fostering resilient character in their children.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting the socialization of children's learning assistance during the pandemic period for the lower classes at SDIT Bina Insani Kediri is to increase the understanding of the guardians of students about children's learning styles, learning characteristics, psychological development of their sons and daughters so that in accompanying students' learning online, the guardians of the students already have the provisions that enough. This community service uses community assistance methods. This method is used in activities that aim to provide information, increase understanding and awareness to the public. The results of the socialization are based on interviews during socialization at zoom and the results of the questionnaire are that the majority of student guardians already understand about online learning, the obstacles that students experience while learning, and are able to accompany their children to study at home because they realize that parents are important players in learning children at home as a substitute for the teacher at school.
