Abstract

Bamboo shoots are young shoots or saplings that grow from bamboo roots. Bamboo shoots are also known as young bamboo. Bamboo shoots include vegetables that are liked by many people. Bamboo shoot production in Indonesia is also very abundant. The purpose of this activity is to increase the creativity of PGSD students as an effort to form an entrepreneurial spirit by making bamboo shoot chips. This service utilizes bamboo shoots into processed food ingredients that are rich in water, fiber, potassium, protein, fat and carbohydrates in the form of bamboo shoot chips. This activity trains students to make observations, environmental research, and also market research to find out about the availability of raw materials and analyze market share. This activity also trains students to carry out the pre-production, production, packaging, online and offline marketing stages as well as evaluation of the products produced. The result of this activity is the growth of an entrepreneurial spirit in PGSD students by making works in the form of bamboo shoot chips. Student creativity is reflected in the many flavors as an innovation to make bamboo shoot chips more attractive. The flavors that were innovated by PGSD students were balado, cheese, roasted corn, extra spicy and original.

Abstract

Implementation of the Independent Curriculum (IKM) in education units provides changes in methods, content, to educational achievement standards. At IKM, the implementation of learning through structured projects in order to get the character of Pancasila students is also an educational innovation that simultaneously changes educational activities in schools. Strengthening the profile of Pancasila students which is carried out through project learning or often known through P5 (Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles) is a breakthrough which is expected to be able to develop educational outputs, namely students with character. SMP Plus Rahmat as one of the schools that implements IKM and P5 also carries out projects that are oriented towards cultivating students' philanthropic character. The project activities were carried out in collaboration with the Bustanul Amri Mosque, the Genius Yatim Mandiri Project, and the Project Team, hereinafter referred to as the Rahmat Plus Middle School Service Team. The activity was carried out using an experiential learning approach which was attended by 59 grade 8 students at SMP Plus Rahmat. It is hoped that through this activity students will be able to gain meaningful experiences that can improve students' philanthropic characteristics.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to 1) approach self-approach between lecturers and partner schools to be able to carry out collaborative activities, 2) equip the lecturers with problem-solving skills in the field, 3) training lecturers to design a lesson that is expected to help solve partner school problems, 4) help solve problems faced by partner schools. The method of carrying out this activity is the discussion method, collaboration between lecturers and school principals and partner teachers and carried out through direct teaching practice in grade third of Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Elementary School by the PDS implementing lecturer, namely Taufik Muhtarom, M.Pd from Yogyakarta PGRI University. This program is carried out for 3 weeks starting from 10-30 November 2022. The result of this activity is that the implementation of lecturers' deployment to schools is able to improve the collaboration skills of lecturers and partner teachers for solving problems in class directly. The learning model offered by the implementing lecturer as a solution to problem solving in partner classes, namely the CTL learning model and the role playing learning model is able to increase student participation and involvement in learning, increase understanding of learning material and make students more motivated in participating in the learning process in class.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide assistance to the community of Blabak Village, Pesantren District, Kediri City about the importance of Parenting Education (Parenting) for parents of elementary school-age children. This activity was attended by 23 mothers of posyandu and PKK cadres who have elementary school-age children and was carried out on March 8, 2023. The method used in this service activity consists of a planning stage, namely observing the needs of the community in Blabak village so that problems related to parenting are obtained, an implementation stage with the delivery of material and questions and answers about parenting and an evaluation stage regarding filling out questionnaires by mentoring participants regarding parenting. Through this activity, it was found that the community who participated in the activity gave a positive response, and even hoped that the activity could be carried out on an ongoing basis so that more knowledge could be obtained related to parenting patterns of parents of elementary school-age children, so that with the right parenting patterns can make children become good characters.

Abstract

The results of interviews conducted with several respondents from grade V students of SD Negeri 1 Sumberbaru showed that some students still did not know about the original culture of Banyuwangi. This raises anxiety for educational institutions as places of cultural inheritance. Therefore, it is very important to foster cultural literacy at SD Negeri 1 Sumberbaru as an effort to provide access to understanding and learning the original culture of the Osing Tribe of Banyuwangi. The purpose of this community service is to foster cultural literacy of grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Sumberbaru in knowledge and skills towards the cultural heritage of the Osing tribe, the authentic food of Banyuwangi. The methods used in this community service include socialization, digital education, and practice. From the results of fostering cultural literacy of grade V students through cooking authentic Banyuwangi food at SD Negeri 1 Sumberbaru, it can be concluded that the coaching activities have succeeded in providing understanding and experience of authentic Banyuwangi food.

Abstract

The school which should be the comfortable place for students to gain the knowledge and develop their potential has changed into the zone of bullying practice. Because a lot of bullying cases happened at school, it is necessarily to do preventive action so that the cases do not increase. Therefore, we need to educate students about bullying earlier by conducting counseling about bullying in MI Miftahul Huda I, Sambimulyo Village, Bangorejo District, Banyuwangi City, because it is found that there are some bullying cases there. The method used in this study is divided into three stages, the first is preparation, the second is execution, and the third is evaluation. In this agenda, students are given knowledge about the definition, types, effects of bullying for the victims or the perpetrators, constitution/law towards the perpetrators, and followed by question and answer session and sharing thoughts. Then, the students are given animation film for the sake of giving examples of bullying in school life, and followed by evaluation. By conducting this agenda, students obtained a good training about the danger of bullying practice for students. It is proven by the rise of students’ understanding about issues delivered and discussed during the discussion and question and answer session. The suggestion given for students attending the agenda is to love and take care of their friends, either at school or outside of school. If they find bullying practice, they can handle it in a right way. If bullying happens at school, the school principal must be able to act decisively against perpetrators.

Abstract

Community service activities ran smoothly and were welcomed by the school and students alike. This service activity was attended by 22 participants consisting of all class VII students of Al Falah Middle School in the Buluagung Village Hall Environment. Based on the analysis of the pre-test and post-test results, this service activity has been able to increase youth's knowledge and understanding of electric cigarettes and vaping and their dangers. This is important because by increasing their understanding and perception it is hoped that it will prevent youth from becoming new smokers or wanting to quit for those who are currently doing it. To prevent teenagers from spreading vaping and e-cigarettes, they need to be given correct information about e-cigarettes and their dangers. After the community service activities were carried out, teenagers at the Al Falah junior high school, showed a significant increase in knowledge after a post-test was carried out about the dangers of electric cigarettes and vaping. This is expected to prevent teenagers in the Tohpati banjar environment from being trapped in wrong perceptions about electric cigarettes and vaping and not becoming novice smokers or deciding to quit for those who are currently smoking or using e-cigarettes and vaping.

Abstract

Since the establishment of the Covid-19 pandemic alert, the government has made recommendations to carry out all activities at home, including teaching and learning activities in schools. Home learning that is carried out online using a mobile phone has the effect of gadget addiction on children. This has an impact on patterns of social interaction in children which have an effect on lowering cultural literacy in children. Based on this problem, the COD (Campus On Duty) TEAM is trying to assist the implementation of cultural literacy in several schools in the Kediri district. The PKM program activities include 4 stages, namely the preparation, implementation, program evaluation, and reporting stages. The target to be achieved is the application of cultural literacy through simple activities and traditional games to rebuild students' patterns of social interaction. The result of this PKM is cultural literacy assistance which has been carried out in several schools in the Kediri district

Abstract

Community service aims to provide assistance to doctoral students through research article writing seminars. The purpose of this service is to enhance the understanding and skills of doctoral students in writing high-quality research articles that meet academic standards. The methods employed in this service include organizing seminars on research article writing, in which doctoral students participate. The seminars cover various important aspects of research article writing, such as article structure, introduction writing, theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, data analysis, and conclusions. Additionally, evaluation criteria and practical tips for producing quality articles are also discussed. The results of this community service indicate that the research article writing seminars offer significant benefits to doctoral students. Participants enhance their understanding of the essential components of research article writing and have the opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas with fellow doctoral students and experienced speakers

Abstract

Scouting activities in the independent curriculum are compulsory extracurriculars. However, at SD Negeri Kaligangsa Kulon 01, scouting activities are often hampered due to school conditions that are often inundated by water during the rainy season. Scouting activities also tend to focus on the material so that it feels boring. This method of community service activities is divided into two stages, namely training, preparation of activity design and implementation of scouting activities. The result of this community service is the design of game-based scouting activities. In addition, at the implementation stage, it was also found that the design of this activity was flexible so as to minimize the problems of scouting activities that occurred at SD Negeri Kaligangsa Kulon 01. Students in this community service activity can also develop cooperative, meticulous, and creative characters from the material of solving secret messages written using ciphers. The suggestions that can be given are, games as innovations in delivering scouting material, need to be adjusted to the material to be delivered.
