Abstract

Pepper production in East Kolaka Regency has increased by 96 thousand tons in 2017 to 280 thousand tons in 2022. This condition illustrates that the potential for pepper farming is very promising, including in Lambandia District, Atolanu Village, East Kolaka Regency, which is the research location, contributing 15.86 tons. in 2022 from total pepper production. Even though pepper production tends to increase, people's interest in cultivating pepper agribusiness (black pepper and white pepper) is still relatively low compared to other commercial crops, this is due to a marketing system that sometimes takes a long time and creates risks and inefficient marketing costs. .The research aims to determine marketing channels and analyze the margins and efficiency of white pepper and black pepper from Atolanu Village, Lambandia District, Kolaka Regency. Sampling was carried out in groups (clusters) for white pepper and black pepper respondents, and by census for marketing actors. The data was analyzed using descriptive methods to determine the marketing channels for white pepper and black pepper and quantitatively to calculate the marketing margin M= He – Hp, and analyzing the level and efficiency or percentage of price received by farmers for both white and black pepper using the EP formula approach. =1 –( MP/( He) )X 100 %. The research results show that there are two marketing channels for white pepper and black pepper farming in Atolanu Village, Lambandia District, Kolaka Regency, marketing channel I starts from Farmers, PPD, PPK, Exporters with a margin of IDR 2,000/Kg, and marketing channel II starts from Farmers, PPD, and PPK with a margin of IDR 3,000/Kg. The level of efficiency of both marketing channels is efficient with an efficiency value of > 50% respectively, marketing channel I is 97.2% and marketing channel II is with an EP value of 95.5%.

Abstract

Post-harvest handling of seaweed is often ignored, while the quality of post-harvest raw materials is one the part that determines the quality of the final product. This research aims to examine the post-harvest handling process of Eucheuma cottonii seaweed in Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The research was conducted using a survey method by interviewing seaweed cultivators and collectors. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively. The results of the research show that post-harvest handling of quality improvement at the farmer and collector level still lacks attention to procedures for using equipment, weighing, packaging, labeling and storage (warehousing). The drying method used is in accordance with Indonesian National Standards. One of the reasons for the low post-harvest quality is the farmers' low understanding regarding the importance of handling seaweed on the price and quality of the final product produced. Therefore, the role of a supporting sub system is needed to be able to provide educational to the upstream sub system at the farmer level and the seaweed handling and processing sub system. Abstract

Research to determine the influence of production factors and their efficiency on rice farming of SL-PTT participants and non-SL-PTT participants and non-SL-PTT participants in North Poleang Bombana District. Carried out in May – July 2011. Samples were determined using simple cluster sampling based on villages, as many as 2 villages (50% of the village population). Respondents from each village consisted of 15 participants and 15 non-participants of SL-PTT in a simple random manner (60 samples). Analysis using multiple non-linear regression using the Cobb-Douglas function and price efficiency analysis. Research results: (a) Production Factors; Land area, amount of use of seeds, fertilizer, labor and pesticides are closely related and simultaneously influence the production of lowland rice farming (R; l 0.889 and R2 = 0.790). (b) partially, except for the number of seeds, all production factors have a positive effect, but only fertilizer has a real effect, even at a confidence level of 85%. (c) Efficiency analysis shows that the use of fertilizer, labor and pesticides is not efficient so they can still be added to improve, while seeds are not efficient.
