Abstract

Student management can be a vehicle for raising school standards and performance. In order for students to succeed in an institution, there must be effective management of students with the aim of controlling students from the time they first enroll in school until they graduate. This study aims to determine the management of students which includes planning, coaching, evaluation, and transfer of students at UPT SMP Negeri 19 Gresik, and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a phenomenon-oriented and qualitative approach, data collection was carried out by means of observation and interviews, documentation was then analyzed, and checked the validity of the data, was then presented. The results of this study are first that the management of students at UPT SMP Negeri 19 Gresik has been carried out optimally, and the two main supporting factors are the support of all educators and education staff and collaboration with student guardians, while the main obstacle is the limited facilities and the lack of funds for supervising extracurricular activities of participants educate.

Abstract

This research was motivated by an increase in the quality of students at MA Tahfidz Al-Qur'an in Sumbermulyo village, Pesanggaran Banyuwangi, since the leadership of the madrasah head Ahmad Jafarudin SE, previously the number of students was small, the quality of learning was still low and the image of MA Tahfidz Al-Qur'an in Sumbermulyo village Banyuwangi Pesanggaran which is now an escape school or exile school. The purpose of this study is to examine the efforts of the head of the madrasa in improving the quality of students as well as the obstacles and solutions at MA Tahfidz Al-Qur'an in the village of Sumbermulyo Pesanggaran Banyuwangi. This study used qualitative research methods. While collecting data by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis uses data reduction techniques, data presentation, and draw conclusions. The sources of information in this review consist of important sources of information obtained from madrasa heads, homeroom teachers, and teachers and additional sources of information obtained from reports and photos about MA Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Sumbermulyo Pesanggaran Banyuwangi. The results of this study are that the head of the madrasa maximizes his duties in leading his institution, and the efforts of the head of the madrasa to improve the quality of students at MA Tahfidz Al-Qur'an include providing opportunities for teachers to improve their skills well and skilled, providing facilities and infrastructure so that the learning process runs more smoothly and generates student motivation, while a few obstacles such as discipline and student behavior can be overcome by providing understanding and the passage of time.

Abstract

Leadership patterns have different nuances when in the midst of diversity. leadership has high articulation in dealing with multiple differences, especially the development of Islamic education in the midst of the Balinese Hindu Religion and Culture community. Leader patterns and policies are important in dealing with this reality. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis with Miles and Huberman's Interactive model: with steps; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. Checking the validity of the data using source and method triangulation techniques, member checking, and discussions with colleagues. The results of this study are: (1) The leadership pattern of the Multicultural Kiai uses a contingency leadership pattern, namely a combination of eastern and democratic paternalistic leadership with a delegation style that has the characteristics of nurturing, protecting, educating, inclusive, tolerant, open communication style, guardian and controller. (2) The multicultural Kiai policy model with a modern management style that is based on missionary da'wah, and local wisdom, use a Double model, namely the Battom-up and top Down models or the Double policy model related to customary policies, curriculum development, Islamic Boarding School HR development policies and policies religious holidays.

Abstract

The principal has a very important role in determining the quality and success of education in a school. Through supervision program activities, school principals can see how teachers are performing and can be used as evaluation material for further teacher performance improvement. This study uses the method of library research (library research), which is based on reference sources and theories to obtain research data. In obtaining research data, researchers collected and analyzed sources from Google Scholar database articles starting from the 2011-2022 period, related to educational supervision. The general purpose of supervision is to provide technical assistance and guidance to teachers (and other school staff), so that these staff can improve the quality of their work, especially in carrying out tasks, namely the teaching and learning process. This research is expected to be able to teach and add to knowledge about how school principals manage and technique in implementing supervision programs so that all predetermined plans can be carried out effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out; the implementation, function, and management objectives of the alumni empowerment strategy through tracer study activities and their evaluation; Research location: Madrasah Aliyah al-Amiriyyah Blokagung. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study: implementation of the management strategy for empowering alumni: (a) Forming a family of alumni in the year of graduation; (b) Forming an alumni management for all members; (c) Appoint alumni who have a national reputation as alumni leaders; (d) Involve outstanding alumni in the publication of acceptance of new students; (e) Inviting alumni to events held both competitions and birthdays; (f) Presenting reputable alumni as motivators and fillers for activities. The functions and objectives of the management strategy for alumni empowerment are: (a) Evaluating tracer study activities as part of alumni empowerment in each graduate to measure the success of the implemented educational curriculum; (b) The need to review the educational curriculum so that it is able to achieve educational goals as expected by stakeholders; (c) monitoring the development of alumni as madrasah ambassadors for the community and government; (d) Monitoring results as a basis for activities to increase alumni activities that contribute to the development of educational quality. While the evaluation of tracer study activities is through (a) Drawing up a yearly alumni chart containing alumni identities and their activities; (b) holding meetings with alumni which are used to strengthen friendship as well as measure loyalty to the madrasah; (e) accommodate the messages and impressions of alumni to improve the quality of madrasas through a tracer study in the form of a google form application that can be accessed widely; (d) recruit alumni with high achievements and high loyalty as part of Madrasa management.

Abstract

To improve MIN 3 Gunungkidul to become a quality school, one way is through public relations management (PR). Public Relations at MIN 3 Gunungkidul plays a role in delivering various information to the public through social media or in person. In this study, the authors reveal how public relations management is carried out at MIN 3 Gunungkidul to improve the quality of madrasas through news publications and find out the factors that support and hinder public relations. The author uses a qualitative research method, with the case study method. In collecting data, researchers used direct observation techniques (observation), interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in public relations management at MIN 3 Gunungkidul, a team was formed by the Head of the Madrasah who was in charge of publishing news and documenting activities. Factors that support public relations management are the availability of human resources who have high work motivation, teachers who are competent in writing and publishing news, available websites for writing, and the availability of social media to deliver information to student guardians. The inhibiting factors are the location of the madrasah which is less strategic and there are no supporting tools for documenting madrasah programs so that the public relations program runs less than optimally.

Abstract

This study examines the development of the character education curriculum in Madrasahs with reference to the Merdeka curriculum. The concept of the Merdeka curriculum is expected to be able to produce students who are knowledgeable, characterized, civilized, and noble according to the noble ideals of the Indonesian nation. Madrasahs as educational institutions must implement character education in the Merdeka curriculum with the concept of its Pancasila learner profile. The approach used in this research uses qualitative with the literature study method, researchers use several books, journals, and the results of recent observations as references. The findings reveal that the development of character education carried out in learning must be integrated into each subject, self-development, and Madrasah culture. Character values developed in students can be through two attitudes, namely spiritual and social. Spiritual is carrying out the teachings of the religion they adhere to, while social includes honest behavior, discipline, responsibility, courtesy, environmental care, and confidence in interacting with the environment. Some stages of learner character development can be passed through 1) knowledge, 2) implementation, and 3) habits.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic education management offers great opportunities to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of Islamic education. Some of these opportunities include the use of technology in learning, data management, and curriculum development. However, in adopting digital transformation, there are also challenges that need to be overcome, such as cost, technical expertise, and social and cultural challenges. Therefore, a proper strategy is needed in adopting digital transformation and increasing digital awareness and skills among Islamic education managers. By overcoming challenges and leveraging opportunities, Islamic education management can achieve better effectiveness and efficiency in developing curricula and improving the overall quality of Islamic education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the management of students in realizing the local cultural character of students at sd negeri 9 Barurejo Banyuwangi as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The informants of this research include; principals, teachers, and students. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique chosen in data analysis is data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. And the results of this study indicate that the management of students at SD Negeri 9 Barurejo has been going well as evidenced by the fact that there are schools that are trying to achieve goals, one of which is by channeling and developing general abilities or intelligence, talents and interests of students so that through the existence of cultural character local. The local cultural characters in question are religious culture, discipline culture, responsibility culture, and artistic culture in this case the art culture of gendering dance, hadrah, scouts, and drum bands, all of which are local cultures that can shape the character of the students at the school. The supporting factors are support from the principal, teacher motivation, student enthusiasm, adequate infrastructure, and enthusiasm from the guardian. while the inhibiting factor is a matter of time management, environment, and interests of students.

Abstract

The head of the madrasa is the leader of the education unit. The success of the principal's leadership is based on one theory or model of leadership. Transformative leadership is leadership that is able to change the energy of resources, both people, instruments, and situations to achieve goals. This study used qualitative research methods. This research was conducted at MA Al-Amiriyyah Blokagung Tegalsari Banyuwangi. The research data use primary data derived from interviews and observations and secondary data derived from documents. This type of research uses case studies. The purpose of this study was to determine the transformative leadership of the madrasah principal at MA Al-Amiriyyah Blokagung Tegalsari Banyuwangi. The results of this study indicate: 1) The principal as an agent of renewal or change is able to increase the number of students who register, 2) The principal as a role model is able to be disciplined and optimistic in every matter, 3) The principal as a driver of subordinate performance is able to increase the morale of subordinates by giving rewards or praise to their subordinates who are active and also able to build enthusiasm for passive teachers by providing motivation, 4) The principal is able to overcome problems by being a mediator and decision maker through deliberation and accepting ideas from any party, and asking for solutions directly from their subordinates, 5) The madrasah principal is able to improve his abilities by continuously honing his abilities through special training, not only that, he also increases the quality of his subordinates so that the quality of learning in the madrasa is guaranteed, 6) the madrasah principal is able to act according to the value system with respect full responsibility for every affairs of the institution.
