Abstract

The mandate of the law provides instructions teachers have four competencies, including pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. In its implementation, there are still many obstacles by teachers. Lack of skills in applying curriculum 2013, understanding the characteristics of students, knowledge of learning materials, the use of various and innovative learning models and methods, and the use of ICT in learning are obstacles by teachers. This study aims to the strategy of teacher competency development. A qualitative and descriptive approach became the method of this research, using the subject of an elementary school teacher in Bombana district. Data obtained from questionnaires and interviews were analyzed using the IFAS matrix analysis (internal factors analysis summary), EFAS (external factors analysis summary), and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). The results research an overview of the strategies implemented using the turnaround strategy, taking advantage of existing opportunities to overcome the weaknesses of the teachers for social, professional, and pedagogic competencies. The strategy for personal competence with an aggressive strategy is to use the strengths possessed by the teachers in order to take advantage of the opportunities that exist optimally.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the development and feasibility of learning media student worksheets (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning in learning mathematics for grade IV elementary schools. The research method used in this study is research and development (Research and Development) which uses four stages of the Borg and Gall research and development model, namely: 1) research and information collecting, 2) Planning, 3) develop preliminary form a product, 4) preliminary field testing 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing 7) operational product revision 8) operational field testing, 9) final product revision, 10) desimination. The result of this research and development is a problem based learning LKPD product in the fourth grade elementary school mathematics learning. The feasibility level based on the results of the percentage assessment  of  material  experts,  learning  media  experts,  and  linguists  respectively  got 90.47%, 82.28%, and 73.3% with the criteria of "very feasible". Furthermore, the response of students to the product when it was tested in the main field testing stage of the LKPD problem based product also did not require improvement and got a percentage of 95.17% with the criteria of "very good". Based on the results of interviews with fourth grade teachers, teachers are interested   in  using  problem-based   learning   LKPD  products   in   mathematics learning activities in the classroom. Based on this, it can be concluded that problem-based learning LKPD is appropriate to be used as one of the mathematics teaching materials in geometry learning.

Abstract

Recently, education has been faced with learning that is not only carried out offline but also carried out online. Online learning has even been implemented since elementary education. This of course affects student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on elementary students' mathematics learning achievement in online learning. This study used a quantitative survey method and was carried out on fourth grade elementary school students in Cluster II, Pleret Bantul District, consisting of 5 schools located in the sub-district area. The population in this study was 203 students and a sample of 132 students, with the technique used in sampling is proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. While the data analysis technique in this study used simple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 24.0. The results of the study concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between self-efficacy on elementary mathematics learning achievement in online learning. Data analysis resulted in a t-count value of 5.785 with a significance of 0.000, it was obtained t-table = 1.978 which can be seen from t-count > t table = 5.785 > 1.978 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to knowing and explaining the influence of the SWCU Salatiga information system student's perception of online learning methods on learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects used were Satya Wacana Christian University SI (Information System) active students, especially the 2019 and 2020 batches. The data collection technique of this research uses a questionnaire through the Google-Form media. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using univariate analysis techniques and bivariate analysis through the help of SPPS Version 20.0. The result of the study is that there is a relationship between student’s perceptions and learning motivation towards the online learning method of the 2019 and 2020 SWCU Information Systems Study Program during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

According to the national examination (UN) scores for Junior High School in East Sumba in 2019, it can be seen that the percentage of student’s math scores based on the comparison of test scores with graduation standards is still very low. In view of the problem, studies are conducted to describe a student’s error, describing the factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving problems, and planning follow-up actions to minimize student errors when operating addition and subtraction of algebraic fraction. This type of research is qualitative approach. The technique of determining the student’s research subject uses the cluster sampling technique with sample 5 students. The technique of collecting data is done by writing tests, interviews and documentary studies. The results showed that according to Newman’s five types of errors, student made 5 types of errors, and the most common mistakes were in encoding error of 1,53%, then processing skill error 2,33%; transformation error 2,5%; comprehension error and reading error 3,1%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how short-term memory is in learning mathematics. This research method is a literature study. Literature study examines theories based on books, articles, notes, and reports related to the problems studied. The sources of data needed by researchers in this literature review are using primary sources and secondary sources. Data analysis aims to obtain answers from the formulation of the problem that has been determined, data analysis is carried out in an inductive and interpretive way. The result of this research is that the source of working memory during learning is explained in single-digit arithmetic learning, multi-digit arithmetic learning. Meanwhile, working memory in children with math difficulties is found in verbal working memory and visual-spatial working memory.

Abstract

Children's attitudes and parental guidance in dealing with online learning during this pandemic will determine the success of learning activities in elementary schools. This type of research is a qualitative research. This research is a qualitative research. The approach used leads to the phenomenon of online learning activities. Three students and 3 parents of class III SDN 3 Ketandan Klaten were used as research subjects. Observations were made to determine the process of online learning activities. Interviews were conducted to determine parental guidance and attitudes of elementary school children who undergo online learning activities. Documentation was conducted to determine the learning outcomes experienced by elementary school children. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of the study were written related to the events experienced by parents and students. Learning activities for elementary school children who receive parental guidance during the Covid-19 pandemic are influenced by several things. Things that affect the effectiveness of the learning mentioned above include the ability of parents in information technology, cellphones and whatsapp used in learning, the quality of internet signals provided by telecommunication services, the ability of children to understand learning materials and the involvement of parents accompanying children.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way learning was originally done offline, is now done online. As a result, various uses of learning media are applied to each educator, one of which is learning videos. The purpose of this study was to see the implementation of limited face-to-face learning carried out by students and to see the implementation problems of students' choices in limited face-to-face learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study show that there are differences in choices where in the first class 80% choose face-to-face learning, while in the second class as much as 71% choose Non-PTM. This shows that the implementation of face-to-face learning is still a polemic among students.

Abstract

The character of an entrepreneur is reflected as an individual who is able to take risks and opportunities actively, creatively, innovatively, empowered, creative, initiative, leadership abilities, and initiative in new ways of acting. Entrepreneurship in the field of educational psychology is called psychoprenuer. The low level of student intention to entrepreneurship, especially in the field of psychology development, so the purpose of this study was to determine the level and factors of psychoprenuer intentions in psychology students in Yogyakarta and Jakarta. The research method was qualitative with a two-stage case study approach, namely analyzing the psychoprenuer intention scale and the factors that influence psychoprenuer intentions in psychology students in Yogyakarta and Jakarta. Development of the psychoprenuer interview intention instrument as a form of instrument data multiplication. Then testing the psychoprenuer intention level with the previously developed psychoprenuer intention scale. The data collection method in this study used a purposive sampling method with the sample criteria of students in the psychology department. Higher education can be a factor that influences the increase in the intention of psychology students to become psychopreneurs. To encourage students' intentions to become psychopreneurs, it is necessary to formulate a curriculum with related fields, this needs to be reviewed so that psychology graduates are able to adapt to the digital era and become a solution during the COVID-19 pandemic. Several factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions such as environment, family, education, personal values, age and gender. Environment, family and education are external factors while personal values, age and gender are internal factors that influence individual intentions to become entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning is to improve students’ ability to understand, analyze, evaluate, and produce. This is the background of the researcher to examine the effect of the inquiry learning model on the lesson of writing complex procedure texts. This study aims to improve students’ ability to write complex procedural texts using the inquiry learning model in class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan for the 2020-2021 academic year. The population of this study is all students of class XI, totaling 103 students using a sample of 40 students with random sampling, the method used in this study is an experimental method with a two group pre-test and post-test design. The instrument used to test the ability to write complex procedure texts. The average value of ability in writing complex procedure texts before using the inquiry model is 72,1 while the average value of ability in writing complex procedure texts after using the inquiry model is 80,25. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test class correlation analysis conducted with the product moment correlation formula, it obtained an r value of 0,965 so that thitung 22,456 >ttabel 2,021, it was concluded that the inquiry model had a significant influence on the ability to write complex procedure texts in class XI high school students SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan Academic Year 2020-2021.
