Abstract

This study aims to describe online learning strategies through Zoom Meeting s for sixth grade students at Sugihan 03 State Elementary School Sukoharjo. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. The subject of this research is the sixth grade teacher at Sugihan 03 State Elementary School Sukoharjo. The data collection tool used is interviews. The data analysis techniques of this research are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that online learning through Zoom Meeting s greatly influences digital literacy skills for teachers and children. The method in online learning that is often used uses Project Based Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe critical thinking skills, identify factors that affect critical thinking skills and recommend follow-up plans to overcome students' low critical thinking ability to complete class VII set operations problems at Waingapu City Junior High School. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection uses tests, interviews and documentation studies. The subjects in the study were 30 students of class VII junior high school in Waingapu City. The results found that the average critical thinking ability of students was 37.29 and was in the low category. There are several factors that affect students' critical thinking skills, including lack of relearning of the material that has been obtained, mastery of mathematical concepts, learning interests and students' thoroughness in working on problems. The recommendations of actions taken by teachers are reviewing the basic concepts of mathematics, designing learning devices and training students to work on story problems and learning motivation.

Abstract

Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a learning concept helps teachers relate subject concepts to real-world situations and student engagement to find materials learned and connect in everyday life. This study aims to determine the influence of CTL to improve student learning outcomes on environmental pollution materials during pandemics. The research was conducted at Manokwari Advent Junior High School in April-May 2021. The sample of learning grade VII A (experimental class) number of learners as many as 22 people and grade VII B (control class) the number of learners 20 people. This research method was quasi-experimentation with a nonequivalent control group design, an instrument used in research in the form of cognitive tests in the form of multiple choice. Analysis of data mechanisms used in the study was a normality test, homogeneity testing, and followed by hypothesis testing using the SPSS IMB 20 mentoring program. After the test was obtained, the results of the learning class experimental have an average post-test of 86.25, while the value of the post-test control class is 45.25; then, it can be concluded that the CTL model can improve the learner learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce an android application 'let's wash your hands' to teach body hygiene in science lesson content in elementary schools (2) determine the value of product feasibility. This type of research is research and development. This study uses a 4d model. This model consists of four steps; (1) define, (2) design, (3) development, and (4) disseminate. Product validation is calculated based on the results of expert assessments. The results of this research and development are (1) an android application with the topic of 'washing hands' (2) the media developed has a good feasibility value. Based on these findings, it shows that the 'let's wash your hands' android application is feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the difficulty of students in solving mathematical problems of geometric materials in view of the student's mathematical abilities. Description of the student's difficulties can help the teacher as information to provide solutions in overcoming the difficulties of students in solving geometry problems. This research is descriptive qualitative research. This research was imposed on students of class VIII of State Junior High School I Amanuban Barat. The sample in the study was 3 students with high, moderate and low ability. Samples are taken using purposive sampling techniques. Data retrieval techniques use observations, interviews and geometric material troubleshooting tests. Data analysis techniques use qualitative data analysis. The results showed that highly capable students have difficulty in re-examining the results of problem solving, students are having difficulty in determining the strategy to be used, using those strategies to solve problems and re-examine the results of solving the problem. Furthermore, low-skilled students have difficulties ranging from understanding problems, determining settlement strategies, using settlement strategies and re-examining the solving of mathematical problems. This is because learners do not understand the concept of geometry, are not used to practicing problem solving problems that result in students not having strategies in solving mathematical problems encountered. Furthermore, the advice that can be given is that teachers need to map the difficulty of solving problems in each existing material so as to help teachers and students in overcoming difficulties solving math problems.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world, including Indonesia, stopped activities in all fields, especially education. The government has implemented a policy that learning activities must be carried out online to prevent the spread of the virus. The easing of the pandemic makes offline learning then re-applied even within certain limits. The purpose of this research is to analyze the comparison of online and offline teaching and learning activities in 9th graders at MTsN 4 Bojonegoro. The method used is qualitative descriptive with survey techniques. The results showed that 74.2% preferred offline learning systems. Online learning is considered to have many obstacles, such as lack of understanding of learning materials, limited internet network, the use of high internet data, problematic the implementation of midterm exam or final exam, to the difficulty of concentrating due to disruption from the home environment. A total of 66.1% of respondents stated that teachers could not convey materials and communicate effectively in online learning, and 54.8% of respondents stated the difficulty of communication between learners online. Respondents also assessed that understanding of the material could work well in offline learning (54.8%) and considered the work on the task would be easier if the learning was done offline (66.1%), than when done online.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the results of ethnomathematical exploration on batik patterns that can be used as teaching materials for students. The research method chosen in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research with topic areas of interest. Data collection is done by documenting and reviewing all articles related to ethnomathematics on batik patterns. The articles used were 10 articles. The results showed that ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning on batik patterns could be used in the learning process and had a positive impact on students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ethnomathematics in the process of making Kedang woven fabrics. The approach used is qualitative ethnographic research. The subjects in this study consisted of two Kedang weavers. The data collection process used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that there are mathematical concepts that can be observed in the process of making Kedang woven fabrics, namely integers, geometric concepts namely points, angles, lines, rectangles, and blocks, truncated cones and spheres. Thus the process of weaving Kedang woven cloth can be used as the content and context of elementary school mathematics learning.

Abstract

 This study aims to describe information regarding the use of WhatsApp Groups as an online learning medium during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in class V of SDN 002 North Samarinda, Samarinda City in the odd semester from September to December 2021. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The resource persons in this study were three class teachers and 6 students. Collecting data in this study carried out various techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Activities in analyzing data in this study were carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data in this study using triangulation techniques. The results of the study obtained information that WhatsApp became the main choice of learning media in the online learning process in class V of SDN 020 North Samarinda because WhatsApp made it easy for all groups to use, both teachers, students and parents of students. Through the WhatsApp Group, learning can also be carried out according to the RPP starting from the opening, core and closing activities. Then the features in the WhatsApp Group help the learning process such as chat features, voice notes, photos, videos and documents. The use of WhatsApp Groups in online learning has several obstacles, behind the existing barriers, teachers can minimize these obstacles.

Abstract

The issue of decreasing knowledge of nationalism of the senior high students in Papua had been the background of this research. The Covid-19 Pandemic has impacted various sectors, especially in education. More research are needed to figure out the education implementation during the pandemic so that appropriate policies can then be formulated and issued. This research was aimed at describing the implementation of 2013 Curriculum during the pandemic on Civics. It was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Merauke. The research design applied was a descriptive with qualitative method. Three data collection techniques were used; interviews, observations, and documentation. The respondents of research consisted of principal, vice principal for curriculum, Civics teacher, and school administration officer. The data analysis was carried out by following several stages, such as data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The result showed that the implementation of  Curriculum 2013 on Civics during the Pandemic Covid-19 was not effective. It was also not suitable with the the emergency condition as Covid-19. Long distance learning model was difficult for teachers to develop the students’ knowledge and behavior of defending the nation of Republik Indonesia. Several technical issues were found by both teachers and students in implementing long distance learning (online learning). Some discrepancies were also found in the learning approach, learning model, learning method and learning media. Therefore, curriculum development with special conditions (not 2013 Curriculum) is needed during the condition of emergency, for example during the Covid-19 Pandemic
