Abstract

E-commerce represents the largest sector within Indonesia's digital economy, with a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of USD 62 billion in 2023, projected to grow to USD 82 billion by 2025. However, amidst this rapid growth, the practice of deceptive discounts—manipulating prices to create the illusion of significant price cuts—frequently occurs, causing harm to consumers. Such practices are inherently at odds with the principles of honesty and fairness in Islamic economics. This study examines the role of hisbah in monitoring and preventing deceptive discount practices in e-commerce. The primary objective of this research is to propose solutions to address the prevalence of deceptive discount practices on e-commerce platforms. The study employs a qualitative approach through library research. Data were gathered from primary and secondary literature, including books, journal articles, regulations, and related documents. The analytical method used is descriptive-analytical, aimed at understanding the relevance and application of hisbah principles in the oversight of e-commerce. The findings reveal that hisbah can complement existing regulations by emphasizing moral supervision, social sanctions, consumer education, and policy advocacy grounded in Islamic values. The implementation of hisbah not only ensures transactional integrity but also fosters an e-commerce ecosystem that is fair, transparent, and aligned with Sharia principles.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of organizational ethical values in improving performance and organizational maturity at HIQMA UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, focusing on word patterns, thought patterns, and attitude patterns in organizational dynamics. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with HIQMA administrators and members, and organizational document analysis. Informants were selected through purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques with validation through data source triangulation. The implementation of organizational ethical values at HIQMA shows positive impacts on three main aspects: (1) increased leadership effectiveness and management performance, (2) strengthening organizational culture through the integration of Islamic values, and (3) development of member professionalism through comprehensive training programs such as Management Upgrading. This research provides a new perspective on integrating Islamic ethical values in student organization development, particularly in organizations focusing on Quranic talent development and Islamic arts. The research results provide a practical framework for student organizations to implement ethical values to improve performance and organizational maturity, including management capacity development strategies and monitoring evaluation systems.

Abstract

The sugar tax has emerged as a strategy adopted by various countries to address public health issues caused by excessive sugar consumption. This study examines the impact of the tax in the UK and Mexico, as well as its implications for Indonesia. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) show that per capita sugar consumption in Indonesia far exceeds the recommended limits set by the Ministry of Health and WHO, increasing the risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and obesity. In the UK, the sugar tax successfully reduced sugar consumption, particularly among children and adolescents, while in Mexico, sugary beverage consumption also declined significantly. Besides reducing sugar intake, the tax generates revenue that can fund public health programs. However, resistance from the food and beverage industry and local communities presents challenges. This study recommends implementing a sugar tax in Indonesia as a strategic step to improve public health, supported by complementary policies promoting healthy eating and stronger consumer protections.

Abstract

Every organization needs to have the right strategy to survive in carrying out its operational activities. Employee loyalty has attracted much attention because it is the expectation that motivated and loyal employees will act in the best interests of the organization. This research aims to determine the influence of work motivation, job satisfaction, and work environment on employee loyalty at CIMB Niaga Bank, South Jakarta. The respondents for this research were 125 respondents with criteria based on gender aged 17 - 55 who worked at CIMB Niaga Bank, South Jakarta in the last 3 months. The analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression. The research results parcial show that work motivation has a significant effect on employee loyalty, job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee loyalty and the work environment has no effect on employee loyalty. Then simultaneously work motivation, job satisfaction and work environment have a significant effect on employee loyalty.

Abstract

Shipping agency services PT Pelayaran Semesta Sejahtera Lestari Belawan Medan is one of the shipping companies operating in the agency sector (Shipping Agency) in Indonesia. This company deals in quite a lot of ships, both Indonesian flag ships and foreign flag ships. Crew change is an important part of shipping operations that affects the safety, efficiency and performance of the ship. This research aims to analyze procedures and challenges in handling crew changes on ships, as well as identifying best practices to ensure crew changes run smoothly. The research methodology uses qualitative methods such as interviews with crew managers and analysis of crew change documentation data. The research results show that the main challenges in crew change include administrative obstacles, logistics and strict regulations. In addition, it was found that good implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), use of communication technology, and cross-departmental coordination are key factors for success in managing crew change. This research concludes the importance of collaboration between stakeholders, regulatory adjustments, and technological innovation to increase efficiency and safety in crew changes on ships.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of initial observations that the quality of public services in birth certificate services at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Ciamis Regency still needs to be improved, considering the number of people who still do not have birth certificates is still large. Supporting infrastructure for services that are less noticed. This is evidenced by the lack of respect from the government in this case is the Population and Civil Registration Office of Ciamis Regency, in relation to the facilities and infrastructure of service providers. Not infrequently when people need birth certificates, there are no forms provided by the government to print birth certificates. The low public satisfaction with government services can also be seen from the quality of population services, there are still many complaints from the public regarding the quality of services of these agencies such as making certificates is still difficult and takes a long time compared to the normal time for completion, which can be more than a day. Therefore, many people will complain of irritation with the public services they receive. The influence of the quality of public services on Public Satisfaction. needs to be followed up. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive research method. The results of the study show that service quality has an effect on public satisfaction, with a level of influence in the sufficient category. This shows that service quality has a positive effect on public satisfaction. With quality service, it will open up opportunities to obtain maximum public satisfaction. Facilities and infrastructure have an effect on public satisfaction, with a level of influence in the sufficient category. This shows that facilities and infrastructure have a positive effect on public satisfaction. With the existence of facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of services, it will open up opportunities to obtain maximum public satisfaction. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine and describe (1) the competence, motivation, and performance of employees of the Ciamis Regency Statistics Agency, (2) the influence of competence on employee performance at the Ciamis Regency Statistics Agency, (3) the influence of motivation on employee performance at the Ciamis Regency Statistics Agency, and (4) the influence of competence and motivation on employee performance at the Ciamis Regency Statistics Agency. With the formulation of the problem how the research objectives are formulated. The method used in this study is descriptive and verification research. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the following conclusions were obtained. The competence of BPS employees based on respondents is included in the good category, with the highest indicator being the attitude indicator with an average score of 144.33 or 78.01% (in the good category) while the lowest average score occurred in the knowledge indicator of 135 or 72.97% (in the good category). The results of data processing show that the competence of BPS employees has a positive effect on employee performance at the Ciamis Regency Statistics Agency. This means that if there is an increase in competence and motivation, it will be followed by an increase in employee performance. With competence and motivation that continue to increase, employee performance will increase further. The work motivation of BPS employees based on respondents is included in the good category, with the work motivation indicator being the indicator of the need for power with the highest average score of 148 or 80% in the good category while the lowest average score is in the indicator of the need for achievement of 145 or 78.70% in the good category. If presented as a whole, the respondents' responses to work motivation are 77.89% when compared to table 4.28. then it is in the 4th interval which means that the respondents' responses to employee performance are included in the good category. The results of data processing show that employee work motivation has a positive effect on employee performance at the Central Statistics Agency of Ciamis Regency. This means that if there is an increase in competence and motivation, it will be followed by an increase in employee performance. With increasing competence and motivation, employee performance will increase. Competence and motivation have a positive effect on employee performance at the Central Statistics Agency of Ciamis Regency. This means that if there is an increase in competence and motivation, it will be followed by an increase in employee performance. With increasing competence and motivation, employee performance will increase.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of competence on teachers' performance in public elementary schools in Makassar City. The methodology employed combines descriptive and confirmatory approaches, which provide a clear depiction of the data and test the influence of identified variables, including discipline, competence, leadership, motivation, and teacher performance. The research is conducted in 58 schools across three districts in Makassar, with the research period planned for three months, from April to July 2024. The results indicate that although leadership has a positive influence on teacher performance, the impact is not significant. This finding suggests that factors such as the school environment and resource limitations can affect the effectiveness of leadership in enhancing performance. This study provides important insights for developing educational policies that better support improving teacher performance at the elementary level.

Abstract

The development of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Indonesia has been quite rapid, especially with the occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, which has dampened economies globally. Several studies have also found that MSMEs and cooperatives play a crucial role in driving local economic growth by creating new job opportunities, especially in underdeveloped areas. With the presence of MSMEs and support for digitalization through the utilization of e-commerce platforms, this becomes one of the essential strategies for MSME players in Indonesia, particularly in Serang City, to market and promote their products widely. The research method employed is a case study based on previous research on the impact of MSMEs that have adopted e-commerce. The research results indicate that the implementation of e-commerce has a significant positive influence on the growth of MSMEs in Serang City.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the development of the canvas business applied by Gen-Z in start-up businesses. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a business model canvas which is needed to design and build a model concept that can be understood. The results of this research are the development of the canvas business, which is one way for the FnB business to compete by creating good and appropriate business development strategies,- so that the company has a good business model. Good recommendations or suggestions for FnB business development are needed to design and build a business model concept for company development. The canvas model business innovation strategy and marketing strategy model play a significant role in the sustainability of a company as a guide to achieving a goal. This research activity plays an important role for Gen-Z as young entrepreneurs in the FnB sector. The results of this research are for the development and utilization of start-up-based FnB business opportunities among gen-z in the city of Blitar which shows progress.
