Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the quantum learning model on students' science learning outcomes by considering their learning interests. Science learning that often focuses on teachers tends to result in low student engagement and suboptimal learning outcomes. The quantum learning model, which integrates social, emotional, and cognitive aspects, offers a more interactive and meaningful approach. This study used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design with data collected through a learning interest questionnaire and a science learning achievement test. The results showed that the quantum learning model significantly improved science learning outcomes, especially in students with high learning interests. This finding indicates that students' learning interests can strengthen the effectiveness of implementing the quantum learning model. Based on these findings, it is recommended that educators use the quantum learning approach to create a more engaging, motivating, and student-centered learning environment.

Abstract

This research is a conceptual study that focuses on the design of PowerPoint-based interactive media to support Natural Science (IPA) learning on the material of changes in the state of matter in grade IV MI Kasyiful Ulum Jember. This interactive media is designed to create an interesting and effective learning experience through visualization, animation, and interactive exercises, which are expected to improve students' conceptual understanding. The research approach is carried out through a literature review and theoretical analysis of various references related to digital learning design, constructivism theory, and previous research results. The final product of this research is a conceptual design of PowerPoint media designed to be used by teachers in basic science learning. This research does not involve field data collection, but aims to provide a conceptual basis for further research on the development of learning media. It is hoped that this interactive media can be an effective tool in improving the quality of science learning at the elementary school level, especially on the material of changes in the state of matter.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance primary school students' understanding of the use of capital letters, bold letters, and italic letters through structured language development activities. Employing a quantitative approach with a simple pretest-posttest experimental design, the research was conducted on 12 students in Mangungsari Village, Tasikmalaya Regency, selected based on criteria of active participation and basic writing comprehension. Data were collected using the Quiziz instrument consisting of multiple-choice and simple essay questions, with pretest administered before intervention and posttest afterward. Pretest results showed an average comprehension of 67%, with the greatest weakness in italic letters (53%). After a one-day development session using aids such as PowerPoint and mini infocus, posttest results significantly improved to 92%, with an overall increase of 25%. Specifically, italic letters rose from 53% to 91%, capital letters from 69% to 93%, and bold letters from 78% to 92%. This development successfully reduced comprehension gaps among students and demonstrated the effectiveness of the pretest-posttest model in improving spelling skills, aligning with the Merdeka Curriculum's emphasis on basic literacy.

Abstract

The development of digital technology is driving the transformation of learning in elementary schools towards more interactive, collaborative, and meaningful learning. One of the digital media used is the Smart Board, an interactive whiteboard that allows visualization, manipulation, and direct interaction in the learning process. This study aims to examine the effect of Smart Board use on elementary school student learning outcomes and identify supporting factors and challenges in its implementation. The research method used is a literature study by analyzing twenty scientific articles published between 2023 and 2025. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques to identify patterns, themes, and key findings. The results show that the consistent use of Smart Boards has a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes, motivation, active participation, and critical thinking skills. The effectiveness of Smart Boards is optimal when integrated with appropriate learning strategies and teacher competencies within the TPACK framework. However, successful implementation is also influenced by teacher readiness, infrastructure availability, and thorough pedagogical planning. These findings confirm that Smart Boards play a role as a digital learning medium that supports in-depth learning.
