Abstract

This community service aims to increase public understanding of Employment BPJS between employees or employees and employers or companies. From the results of the activities carried out, it is known that on average the people of Ploso Village, Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency do not know about BPJS Employment. When people work, they don't even know that it is their right to get and be registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan by the place where they work. The public also does not know that there are various kinds of benefits and facilities that can be obtained from the existence of this Employment BPJS. Through this activity, the people of Ploso Village, Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency can increase their knowledge about Employment BPJS. The method used in this socialization is by direct presentation as well as questions and answers and discussions from and by the people who take part in this activity. This socialization will minimize conflicts between workers and companies. Thus the community will be able to work in peace because they have been protected by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Abstract

English is a subject that is considered difficult by most elementary school students, especially students in the regions. Students' ability to remember vocabulary is one of the difficulties that is often encountered because English is a foreign language that we never use in everyday life. These difficulties can be overcome by using the right media in the learning process. One of the media that can be used is Snakes and ladders which in this service activity is modified into Slides and Ladder (slide and ladder). This media is made using the Canva application where in each box there are objects that must be answered by students. In the application of this media it can be seen that students are excited to take part in the games given. Students also seem motivated to try to answer the questions given in each box they step on. So it can be concluded that the use of appropriate media in learning can trigger students to be excited so that what they get can be embedded in students' long term memory.

Abstract

Statistical literacy is an ability to understand, interpret, and use data-based information to make rational and informational decisions. The purpose of this activity is to improve students' statistical literacy skills. Participants in this training activity were students from PGMI, Hasanuddin Pare Islamic Institute. The stages of the training activities include (1) the presentation of material by the resource person on statistics; (2) Assistance using statistical software with SPSS. At this stage the activity is in the form of providing training on data entry and operation of SPSS software, as well as interpreting SPSS output correctly. Students have the opportunity to ask questions about the operation of the software. At this stage students are expected to be able to operate SPSS software and correctly interpret SPSS output; (3) Discussion and evaluation forums. At this stage it is expected to make a positive contribution so as to increase student interest and learning motivation in statistical data analysis. This data analysis training received a positive response from students. This is evidenced by the active participation of students during the activity. So that with the smooth running of the activities it can be said that the training can be carried out properly and successfully in accordance with the achievement targets.

Abstract

Teachers must have the skills to write textbooks. Teachers who write textbooks and use its in their learning can help them overcome learning problems. In addition, this textbook can increase teacher credit scores, academic promotion, and have economic value. However, not all teachers are able to write textbooks even to the process of publishing textbooks. Therefore, this community service activity aims to design a strategy through mapping teacher knowledge in writing and publishing textbooks. This activity was attended by teachers in the elementary and junior high schools in Integrated Islamic Education Institute Insan Kamil Sidoarjo. Teachers were given a basic knowledge questionnaire containing 12 statements of understanding about the preparation of textbooks and 2 statements regarding the legality of textbooks. The results of this activity, 1) teachers need to have knowledge in finding relevant references and ideas, 2) knowledge related to the components and flow of making textbooks, 3) understand the flow of publishing to ensure their textbooks can be published legally. Furthermore, the team developed a strategy to provide assistance in writing training seminars and publishing textbooks, includes 1) providing reinforcement of mastery of the material, 2) demonstrations to participants, 3) practice independently, and 4) monitoring.

Abstract

Lecturer is a profession that has the obligations of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Tridharma includes teaching, research and community service. Each tridharma element must be properly measured as the performance of a lecturer. Lecturer performance in research can be assessed from the quality of the output. The outputs of lecturer research activities are required to be published so that they can be known and become a public reference. Thus, published research results must be properly presented. Problems were found in analyzing the data by the lecturers of the Health Polytechnic of the Jambi Ministry of Health when carrying out the research. So far, data analysis has been limited to analysis of variance (ANOVA). The drawback in using analysis of variance alone in research is that errors will appear in drawing conclusions. Therefore, to overcome these problems, regression analysis training was held to improve the quality of lecturer research at the Jambi Ministry of Health Polytechnic as a form of dedication by lecturers from Jambi University. The activities carried out were in the form of workshops and practice of regression analysis for health cases using Minitab and SPSS software, besides that, interpretation of the results was also carried out. The community service activities carried out were carried out according to the plan, then this activity received a good response from the lecturers at the Jambi Health Polytechnic. This training activity also provides opportunities for communication and collaboration between lecturers from different fields and agencies. Abstract

Community service plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education. This article documents the efforts of the community service team from Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) PGRI Lumajang in improving the ability of Mathematics teachers in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Lumajang district to design differentiated learning using Augmented Reality (AR) technology. This programme is a concrete example of collaboration between universities and education practitioners in an effort to improve the quality of education at the local level. STKIP PGRI Lumajang's PKM team organised a series of training and workshops for SMK Maths teachers, introducing them to the potential of AR technology in improving learning effectiveness. This article details the concrete steps taken by the PKM team and SMK teachers in implementing AR technology in Maths learning. In addition, the evaluation results of the programme are also presented to provide a better understanding of its positive impact on learning quality and students' interest in learning. This article is expected to provide guidance and inspiration for other educators, researchers, and education practitioners who want to develop innovative learning methods using AR technology. This kind of collaboration also illustrates the importance of knowledge sharing between academics and practitioners to create positive changes in the world of education.

Abstract

Learning Outcomes Assessment is the process of collecting information or data about students' learning achievements in the attitude aspect, knowledge aspect and skill aspect carried out by educators in a planned and systematic manner to monitor the process, learning progress, and improvements and efforts to improve learning outcomes. The importance of assessing learning outcomes is to monitor learning progress, monitor learning outcomes, and detect the need to improve learning outcomes from students on an ongoing basis. Educators, especially formal school teachers, need applications to facilitate the processing and assessment of learning outcomes. One application that can be used to process scores is the Question Item analysis application known as AnBuSo. This activity was carried out in December 2022, attended by 10 teachers and school principals. This activity has been able to increase teachers' knowledge about assessing learning outcomes by utilizing the AnBuso application

Abstract

This community service activity is focused on assisting the "Math Fun" activity which aims to increase the knowledge of the instructors of Sanggar Insan Emas Rungkut, Surabaya as well as motivate the students' interest in learning mathematics. "Math Fun" is a community service activity program carried out by mathematics lecturers assisted by IKIP Widya Darma Surabaya students, of course using an innovative approach in learning mathematics. Through this program, we seek to broaden the tutors' insight into mathematics learning and change students' perceptions of mathematics from initially being difficult and boring to becoming an interesting and fun mathematics subject. This service method uses a participatory method. The results of this program show that the "Math Fun" activity succeeded motivating students' interest in learning mathematics at SIER-Rungkut, Surabaya. Students begin to see mathematics as an interesting and relevant subject in their daily lives. Thus, this tutoring activity shows that with the right method, mathematics can be taught in a more interesting and inspiring way, providing a positive impact on students' mathematics learning.

Abstract

The city of Surabaya is the center of the city in East Java and is a densely populated city. City buildings, housing, shops, high-rise buildings in villages become densely packed, giving rise to air pollution problems. With the problem of air pollution, it is necessary to carry out reforestation in Surabaya, one of which is in the Sidodadi area, Sidotopo District, Surabaya. In the Sidodadi area, there is still limited vacant land but it has not been utilized properly by local residents. Seeing the potential and existing problems, lecturers at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo and UPN Veteran Surabaya carried out community service by empowering limited land using appropriate technology in the Sidodadi sub-district community, Surabaya. The target of this activity is the community around the sub-district. The method used in this service begins with counseling about the importance of greening in urban areas and socialization of hydroponic techniques and the benefits of family medicinal plants (TOGA), then continues with independent practice of planting TOGA using hydroponic techniques on limited empty land. The result of this service activity is that the community is enthusiastic in participating in activities both during counseling and independent practice. With this activity, the people of Sidodadi Surabaya gained knowledge about hydroponic technology and were able to utilize limited land so that the Sidodadi Surabaya area became greener.

Abstract

This training activity aims to improve participants' abilities in collecting, processing and analyzing research-related data in quantitative form. The activity was attended by students from the Sharia Economic Law Study Program at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. The material provided during training concerns sampling techniques and various test statistics in data analysis for quantitative research. The stages in this training activity include presentation of material by resource persons, questions and answers and interactive discussions with participants, operating SPSS software. The response from the training participants was very good as shown by the participants' interest when asking questions or discussing during the activity so that this activity could be carried out according to expectations.
