Abstract

This research aims to identify and provide empirical evidence of the influence of big book media using a model of discussion about the literacy skills of students to Class IV. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. Sampling using random sampling techniques. These samples included 68 students consisting of 34 students of class IVA as a control class and 34 students in grade IVC as an experimental class. The research instrument used was a test in the form of a written question in the form description you have tested the validity and reliability.The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. The results showed that the use of media big book discussion model with an effect on the ability of information literacy

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of arts and culture using a project based learning (PJBL) model for sixth grade students at SDN Sukorejo, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. Where this research is a classroom action research which consists of two cycles. Where each cycle includes several stages ranging from planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 19 grade VI students with details of 8 male students and 11 female students. Data obtained from the results of observations, tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with a percentage of completeness of 80%. The results showed that the average value in cycle 1 was 76.74 with details of students who completed as many as 4 and students who had not completed as many as 15 with an achievement percentage of 21.05%. Furthermore, in cycle 2, the average student score was 85.74 with details of students who completed as many as 16 and students who had not completed as many as 2 with an achievement percentage of 84.21%. Based on these results, it can be said that the classical value has been achieved, which is more than 80% in cycle 2. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the project based learning model can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes, especially in learning arts and culture and skills

Abstract

The results of observations that have been made to third grade students at SD Ngingas Minu Waru Midu Gedangan Sidoarjo, there are still many students who are less than optimal in practicing locomotor movements. This can be seen in the results of the assessment of the locomotor range of motion. The purpose of the action research is the application of game modifications using cone media in order to improve locomotor learning outcomes for students at SD Ngingas Minu Waru Midu Gedangan Sidoarjo. The method used in this research is to use a classroom action research design with 2 cycles. The population and sample of the study were 25 grade III students. The research was carried out in four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study were analyzed using percentages. The results showed that there was an increase in locomotor movement learning outcomes after applying the game modification with cone media. The increase in learning outcomes occurred in cycle 2 with a percentage of 88% entering the Completed criteria. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the application of game modifications with cone media can improve locomotor learning outcomes for third grade students of SD Ngingas Minu Waru Midu Gedangan Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN Sidoklumpuk Sidoarjo. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Balanced Literacy model on Indonesian language learning outcomes for third-grade students at SDN Sidoklumpuk Sidoarjo. This research includes quantitative research where the data generated is in the form of numbers. The research data were calculated using SPSS software version 16. This type of research is quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and tests. The data analysis technique used a validity test, reliability test, normality test, homogeneity test, and different test t-tests (independent sample test). The results of the study stated that from the results of testing the research hypothesis, there was an effect of the Balanced Literacy Model on Indonesian language learning outcomes in third-grade students at SDN Sidoklumpuk Sidoarjo. This is evidenced by the value on the different t-tests (independent sample test) which shows that sig 0.006 0.05 then Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis Ha states there is an effect of the Balanced Literacy Model on the learning outcomes of Indonesian class III students

Abstract

Behind this research is the low learning outcomes of students on the material area and perimeter of squares and rectangles in mathematics. The percentage of students' completeness is only 13%. This happened because of the lack of enthusiasm of students in participating in learning in class and there were still many students who did not listen when the teacher explained the material. In addition, learning also uses more lecture methods which result in students being passive in learning. In response to this, it is necessary to apply an index card match strategy to improve mathematics learning outcomes for the area and perimeter of square and rectangular shapes for fourth grade students at SDN Sumput Sidoarjo. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN Sumput which consisted of 23 students. The results of the study concluded that: Learning by applying the Index Card Match strategy can improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by an increase in student learning outcomes in learning activities in each cycle. In the first cycle, the percentage of success criteria was 13.1%. While in the second cycle the percentage of student success increased to 82.7%. This proves that the index card match (ICM) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students in the area and perimeter of flat shapes

Abstract

Difficulty reading is a condition characterized by the existence of obstacles in the activities of achieving learning objectives. The cause of students having difficulty reading is due to various factors such as internal factors and external factors. Educating and teaching about literacy is something that is really needed. The teacher's efforts here are to help students to read by means of existing methods and are often used in the learning process. With this, some of the learning difficulties experienced by students, namely in reading, writing, recognizing letters, and recognizing punctuation, students were able to overcome well. SDN Demaan Jepara. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation. The samples in this study were 3 students in class IV B SDN who had difficulty reading, and the homeroom teacher for class IV B. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data display, and verification. Based on the results of this research conducted at SDN Demaan Jepara, it can be concluded that the presence of students who experience reading difficulties is very influential in the success of learning for individual students and affects other students. So that the teacher's role is very important as a facilitator and motivator for students who try to do this by giving additional tutoring, arranging student seats, and providing motivation to learn to read to students

Abstract

Writing skills are one of several basic language competencies that students must have in order to be skilled at communicating in writing. However, in learning Indonesian, the writing aspect in class IV C is still relatively low. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to increase student activity in learning to write descriptive paragraphs and improve skills in writing descriptive paragraphs. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) procedures which consist of four series of activities in each cycle (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results of this study showed an increase from cycle I and cycle II, student activity in cycle I reached 72%, while in cycle II it increased to 82%. Classical mastery in writing paragrah description skills in cycle I reached 32.26% and in cycle II increased to 83.87%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the use of direct object observation techniques can improve the skills of writing descriptive paragraphs in class IV C SDN Pakis V Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of fourth graders of Public Elementary School 020 Ridan Permai with the STEM learning model. This research was conducted at SDN 020 Ridan Permai. The subjects used were 23 students consisting of 12 male students and 11 female students. The research method used was Classroom Action Research which was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The data collection instrument was carried out by a thinking skills test critical, teacher and student observation sheets as the level of implementation and achievement in using the STEM learning model. Data analysis techniques were carried out in qualitative and quantitative descriptions. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills in science content. Preliminary data in cycle I meeting I was 35%, cycle I meeting II increased to 57% then in cycle II meeting I increased to 73%, and cycle II meeting II increased again to 87%. Thus it can be concluded that the STEM learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of class IV students at SDN 020 Ridan Permai.

Abstract

This research emerges from the observations and experiences of researchers that hand puppets are one of the exciting media and foster enthusiasm for learning for low-grade students in elementary schools. On the other hand, hand puppet media invites students to be more active in communicating. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hand puppet media on the listening skills of students in the lower grades. This research uses Quasi Experimental design method. Sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques consist of validation, reliability, normality test, and hypothesis testing. It can be proved through hypothesis test using T-test with tcount>ttable is 9,871> 2,016 with significant level 5%. Based on the results of the study there is a significant influence of the use of hand pupet media scrutinize of first grader SD Labschool Unesa.

Abstract

This research  aims to determine the effectiveness of using the ARIAS model on the motivation and learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students. The research conducted in this research is quantitative research. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. The research sample consisted of 60 students consisting of 30 students in class IVB as the experimental class and 30 students in class IVC as the control class. Data was collected using a questionnaire sheet to determine learning motivation and a test sheet to determine student learning outcomes. The data analysis used was t-test analysis with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that: (1) there was an effectiveness of the ARIAS model on learning motivation by obtaining a sig 2 tailed value of 0.009<0.05 and tcount 2.822 > ttable 1.671, (2) there was an effectiveness of the ARIAS model on student learning outcomes by obtaining a sig 2 value tailed of 0.018<0.05 and tcount 2.508 > ttable 1.671. Thus, there is the effectiveness of using the ARIAS model on the motivation and learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students.
