Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media, namely a smart board. This learning media is highly recommended to be implemented in both low and high grades of elementary schools. This study applies qualitative research since it focuses on in-depth observation. Therefore, the use of qualitative methods in research can produce a more comprehensive study of a phenomenon. Data collection techniques used are interviews, tests, and observations. The validation results obtained were 96.15% which means that the smart board learning media can be applied. Based on the results of the data that have been obtained, it can be concluded that the knowledge or cognitive abilities of fifth grade students at SDN Bluru Kidul 2 Sidoarjo increased with the application of smart board learning media. In other words, the actions carried out in the study were said to be successful without any further action

Abstract

Purpose the research objective was to improve teacher performance in compiling complete learning tools through continuous academic supervision at SD Negeri 01 Ngudikan, Wilangan District, Nganjuk Regency. Specifically, this study aims to find out the appropriate steps in carrying out continuous academic supervision so as to be able to improve teacher performance in preparing and implementing lesson plans at SD Negeri 01 Ngudikan for the 2016/2017 academic year. This research is a school action research (PTS). Using 2 cycles, the first cycle is to determine teacher performance in preparing lesson plans and learning, and cycle 2 to perfect the results of cycle 1. The results of this study are through academic supervision in optimizing teacher performance in preparing lesson plans and learning are: teacher performance in preparing lesson plans (RPP) in cycle I, the average was only 62.3%, in cycle II there was an increase to 82.3%. This means that there was an increase of 22%. the average of 62.5% in cycle II increased to 84.51% meaning there was an increase of 22.1%. In this case, it means that through continuous academic supervision it can improve teacher performance in compiling and implementing lesson plans in SDN 01 Ngudikan 01, Wilangan District, Nganjuk Regency semester II of the 2016/2017 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by low critical thinking skills which is caused by the lack of effectiveness of learning in the classroom. Approach used by the teacher in the classroom makes students passive and afraid because they think that mathematics is a difficult and scary subject, so this study aims to determine the effect of a realistic mathematics education (RME) approach on the critical thinking skills of grade IV students at Pilang 1 Elementary School with 20 students. The importance of teachers to implement fun and real learning can improve students' critical thinking skills. This research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research type and uses a one-group pretest and posttest research design. The results obtained in this study are thumg = 9.94 and > ttable = 2.09. The average pretest score was 49.70 while the posttest had an increase of 72.77. This shows that there are differences in pretest and posttest scores after the implementation of RME, so it can be concluded that the RME approach has an effect on students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Human existence starts from a weakness and inability which will then move towards strength. Humans can easily take advantage of the grace and gifts bestowed on them, but humans must fulfill an obligation to their Lord. Human dignity in the sight of God is not measured by how high the rank, position, lineage or wealth. But what is measured by Allah is his piety. Humans in an Islamic perspective will still be born in a state of nature, namely holy, clean, free from all sins and have a tendency to accept religion, faith, and monotheism. Humans become good or bad is the result of educational and environmental factors, not their original character. Basically humans are born in a state of nature. This means that humans are born in an equally weak state even though they have great potential. But that doesn't mean that when a human is born, it's like a white or blank slate like John Lock said or helpless like a jabarian view. This is because humans have the potential in the form of certain tendencies related to their reasoning, mental, and psychic powers which are of different types and levels. The understanding of Islamic education experts on the nature of nature brings implications for the birth of the theory of nature in education. In the context of education, this theory becomes the basis for developing human nature. In this case, the educational process becomes important to improve its quality because it is one of the means that can develop the potentials that exist within humans in accordance with the nature of their creation which is in accordance with what is described in the Al-Qur'an and Hadith.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the low writing skills of the fifth grade studens of SDN 024 Limau Manis. One solution to overcome this problem is to use Pop Up media. This study aims to describe the application of  Pop Up media to improve studens’ descriptive essay writing skills in thematic learning of indonesian languange content. This reseach method is classroom action reseach (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two mwwtings and four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The subject of this research of SDN 024 Limau Manis for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 9 students. Data collection teachniques used in this study were observation, test, and documentation techniques. Based on the results of the researchers, it can be concluded that Pop Up media can improve students’ descriptive essay writing skills in thematic learning content in the thematic learning content of Indonesian languange students at SDN 024 Limau Manis, improve students’ descriptive essay writing skills, that is, from an average of 70,5% in cycle I, and increased to 80,5% with good criteria in cycle II.  Thus it can be concluded that using Pop Up media can improve students’ descriptive essay writing skills in thematic learning of Indonesian languange content in fifth grade students of SDN 024 Limau Manis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of narrative writing skills by applying the Brain Writing model to the fifth grade students of SDN 012 Langgini. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are documentation, tests and observations. The results of this study can be concluded that in the skills of writing narrative essays for class V SDN 012 Langgini in the first cycle of the first meeting, there were 8 students with a percentage of 47.05%. Furthermore, in the first cycle of the second meeting of the students who completed there were 9 students with a percentage of 52.94%. While in the second cycle of the first meeting, 11 students completed the first meeting with a percentage of 64.70%. Finally, in the second cycle of the second meeting, there were 14 students who completed the second meeting with a percentage of 82.35%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Brain Writing model can improve the skills of writing narrative essays in the fifth grade of SDN 012 Langgini.

Abstract

From the observations, it was found that problems in the learning process that grade 1 students of SDI Ash-Shiddiq Buduran Sidoarjo had difficulty in receiving subject matter, especially in mathematics subjects, stacked addition material so that it affected student learning outcomes. With these problems, researchers try to apply creative problem solving  learning models. With the hope, this research can improve the activities and learning outcomes of students.  The research method used in this study is class action research which is carried out in two cycles. The results showed that applying  the creative problem solving  learning model can improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by observation data on teacher and student activities and student learning outcomes. Teacher activity in the first cycle obtained a percentage of 70.5%, which means that it has not reached the specified success indicator of ≥76%. In cycle II it has obtained a percentage of 100%. While the activity of students in cycle I obtained a percentage of 50% while in cycle II has achieved success indicators, namely obtaining 100%. The learning outcomes of students in the first cycle obtained 67%, which means that they have not reached the set learning outcomes completeness indicator of ≥80%. While in cycle II the learning outcomes of students have increased, obtaining a percentage of 92%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the creative problem solving  learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning of grade 1 stacked addition material SDI Ash-Shiddiq Buduran, Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of implementing the problem based learning (PBM) learning model using diagram board media (PADI) on the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 3 Menganti Jepara. This type of research is experimental research with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study was all class V students at SDN 03 Menganti Jepara with a sample of 21 students. The data collection techniques used are tests, observation and documentation. Data analysis used includes (1) prerequisite tests, namely normality tests and homogeneity tests, (2) effectiveness tests. The results of this research show that learning with PBL assisted by PADI media on mathematics learning outcomes is effective because it fulfills three things, namely (1) the use of the PBL model with PADI media by teachers reaches the good category with a score of 3.62, (2) student activity in participating in learning using PBL with PADI media is in the good category with a score of 3.19, and (3) there is an increase in mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using glideapps-based applications made by MI Ma'arif Sambiroto Taman Sidoarjo educators as learning media in elementary schools. This study uses a type of quantitative research with pseudo-experiments. The population used is MI Ma'arif Sambiroto Taman Sidoarjo students. Furthermore, researchers determined grade 6 as a research sample. There are two instruments in this study, namely tests and non-tests using a questionnaire to determine student responses to the results of glideapps-based applications as learning media. Hypothesis testing using t test with independent samples t test. Then the results of the student response questionnaire were at an average score of 83.8%. This shows that students' responses to the use of glideapps-based applications as learning media are very good. The results of the t test show a test value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be seen that there is a significant difference between the two samples. It is known that the tcount value is 23.063 and the df (degree of freedom) value is 50, then the ttable is 1.676 so that it can be known that the equation is tcount (23.063) > ttable (1.676). So it is concluded that the effectiveness of glideapps-based application results between experimental and control classes is significantly different

Abstract

Teacher beliefs basically greatly contribute to the response and meaning given to students regarding learning objects or events. Meanwhile, effectiveness is an analysis to measure or determine the level of effectiveness of ongoing learning. This research aims to analyze the level of confidence of BIPA teachers in the visiting lecturer program. This research uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design model. The subjects of this research were 30 BIPA teachers at the Language Tower and Language Train Institutes. Data collection was carried out by distributing instruments and conducting interviews with BIPA teachers and users at the Language Tower Institute and Language Train. Quantitative data was obtained by carrying out calculations with data obtained from existing incidental sampling and filling out instruments in the form of questionnaires distributed via Google Form. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively, where quantitative used averages and qualitative data analysis used descriptive. The research results show that the effectiveness of implementation on teachers' beliefs using the visiting lecturer program can be said to be very effective with data obtained from 37 users of the visiting lecturer program. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been obtained, it can be stated that the 14 BIPA teachers respondents at the Language Tower and Language Train Institute are confident that the visiting lecturer program is very effective in teaching Indonesian to facilitate the language acceptance process for Medagascar students.
