Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test organizational communication and spiritual intelligence simultaneously as a predictor of organizational conflict management style in pastors of the Evangelical Church in Timor (GMIT). This study is a quantitative research, with multiple regression analysis techniques. The data collection technique was carried out using the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II from Rahim & Magner (1995) measuring the integrative dimension and the distributive dimension. The results of the partial findings also show that spiritual intelligence has an effect on organization conflict management styles in GMIT pastors. In addition, it is concluded that the existence or absence of the use of conflicts management styles among male and female pastors cannot use the gender variable as determining things. The findings may inform training programs for pastors and have practical implications for improving leadership practices and fostering a harmonious environment within religious organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of distress and risk factors associated with distress in workers in a construction company, which was conducted in May - December 2024. A cross sectional design was carried out in this study. A total of 255 people who have completed the complete online questionnaire were included in the study. The primary data collection was the measurement of the psychosocial state of workers using a questionnaire distributed online. The measurement of worker stress levels also used DASS 21 and the variables of context of work and context of the work were taken using COPSOQ III, NIOSH questionnaires and previous studies that have gone through validity and reliability tests. A multivariate analysis was conducted to identify the risk factors that have a significant effect on dysstress, namely, marital status and career improvement, status and wages. The dominant risk factors for distress in the construction industry in 2024 are increased careers, status, and wages, with a 95% IK: 1,325 - 5,443, after controlling work schedules/hours, organizational culture and function, and marriage. The findings could serve as a foundation for developing targeted strategies to mitigate distress, enhance workplace conditions, and ultimately improve productivity and morale within construction companies. Furthermore, comparative studies across different construction companies or regions could identify best practices and strategies that successfully reduce distress levels among workers facing similar challenges.

Abstract

The management of open-pit mines is one of the challenges that often arises in the management of mine disposal areas, especially in supporting the efficiency of transporting mining materials. In this context, it is important to design a safe and efficient slide dump geometry to reduce the risk of slope failure and operational costs. The study involved the collection of geotechnical data, such as lithological and stratigraphic data obtained from exploratory drilling activities, as well as material property data, including cohesion and deep shear angle (). The collected data was then input into slope stability analysis software with the limit equilibrium method, which ultimately informed safe design recommendations for the disposal slide dump area. The results of this study not only provide an understanding of slope stability, but also highlight the importance of design optimization in supporting operational efficiency. Overall, this study confirms that the design of the disposal slides at the high wall of Pit 4B is stated to be feasible according to the calculations, simulations, and risk analysis that have been carried out, with the hope of meeting the aspects of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has become a serious global health problem with significant socio-economic implications. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the utilization of hemodialysis services for National Health Insurance (JKN) participants in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) in 2023. The study employs a cross-sectional design to analyze secondary data from the BPJS Kesehatan claim database in 2020, focusing on JKN participants receiving dialysis services at Advanced Referral Health Facilities (FKRTL). Data extraction is followed by analysis using STATA software, which includes univariate and bivariate analyses, multicollinearity and overdispersion tests, model comparison via Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), and multivariate analysis through Poisson regression and Binomial Negative methods. A total of 3,220 participants (0.089%) were enrolled in the study. The highest distribution of participants was in Sleman Regency (36.49%), followed by Bantul (29.53%), and Yogya City (25.96%). From the results of the binomial regression analysis, it was found that the age factor had a significant negative influence (p=0.000) with a coefficient of -0.0046 and an IRR of 0.9954, which means that every increase in age by one year will decrease the frequency of visits by 0.46%. The prevalence of diabetes (3.1%) and hypertension (10.2%) which exceed the national average indicates a high risk factor for CKD in this region is high. The age factor and location of health facilities in SLEMAN Regency significantly affected the frequency, while the segment group, gender, and nursing class rights did not show significant influence.
