Abstract

The purpose of the research was to improve the students learning outcomes on the civic education by using cooperative model type Group Investigation. This research is a classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approach. Research procedure: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of the research was the teacher and the student in grade V of the SDN 16 Campago Ipuh. From cycle I to cycle II, the score of the lesson plan from 78,57% (Good) to 92,85% (Very Good). The teachers activities from 75% (Enough) to 87,5% (Very Good). The students activities from 75% (Enough) to 87,5% (Very Good). Students learning outcomes from 74,4 (Enough) to 86,6 (Very Good). Based on these result, it was concluded that the use of cooperative model type Group Investigation could increase the students learning outcomes on the civic education.Keywords : learning outcomes on the civic education, group investigation

Abstract

This Class action research aims at improving students’ablities in poetriy by using the DRA srategi at class v of SDN 36 Labuhan Tanjak, Pesisir Selatan. The subjects were the teacher and 23 student of class V, the research results show some improvement. The score of teacher’s aspect increased from 71.42% un cycle I to 92.85% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the score of the students aspect also enhaced from 71.52% in cicle II. The students’ abilities also improve,first, the students’score in the pre-reading activity increased from 71.52% in cycle I to 78.52% in cycle II. Second, the students’ score the post reading activity increased from 75.65 in cycle I to 88.69% in cycle II. Thus,it can be concluded that the DRA strategy has succesfully improved the students abilities in poetry reading. Keyword : poetry Reading Ability, the DRA Strategy

Abstract

THE CORRELATION OF STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND THEIR LEARNING OUTCOMES OF SOCIAL SCIENCE SUBJECT AT CLASS V OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS AbstractThis research is done due to the fact that student’s learning activities and their learning outcomes of Social Science subject were still low. This research aims at finding out the correlation between the learning activities and learning outcomes of Social Science subject at class V. This quantitative research applied the correlational method. The population was all 5th grade students of SD Semen Padang with the total number of 43 students. Sample were chosen by using saturation sampling technique. The research result show that there is a positive and strong realitionship between students’ activities and their learning outcomes with the correlation coefficient of 0.798.Keywords: Learning Activities, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research is motivated by low student learning outcomes, the purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of achievement on learning of citizenship education subject by using cooperative type Think Pair Share (TPS) in fourth grade Lubuk Buaya elementary school 58 Padang, the sample of study subjects was teacher and 22 students. The findings of this research showed that cycle I was average 88% on result of planning, cycle II was 96,42%. Observation on teacher’s aspects cycle I was average 79% cycle II was 91,1%. Observation on student’s aspect cycle I was 76% , cycle II was 91,1%. Student’s achievement cycle I was 74,00%, cycle II was 84,71%.

Abstract

This research aims at finding out theeffects of the implementation of the‘Numbered Head Together’ model, also known as a Cooperative Learning toward students learning outcomes of the Civics lesson at class V of SDN 15 Padang Sarai. This quasi experiment applied the nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was all grade V students of SDN 15 Padang Sarai. Class VBwas chosen as the experiment class while class VCwas the control class by using the purposive sampling technique. Based on the data analysis using the t-test with the significant level of 0.05, it is found that tcount>ttablewith the score of tcount= 2.149 whilettable=1.67. Thus, the H1 hypotesis is accepted.Keywords: NHT model, learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is done done due to the fact that 5th  grade student’s learning outcomes of civics subject were still low. Moreover, the teacher had never applied the STAD model in the classroom. This research aims at finding out yhe effects of applying the model toward the students’ learning outcomes. This quasi experiment used the nonequivalent control group design. The population was all 5th grade students of primary schools. Samples were chosen by using the saturation sampling techique in which VB acted as the experimental class and VA as the control one. The research result shows that bby using t-test with the level of significant of 0,05, tcount > P-Value and tcount = -3.421 and P-Value = 0.001. Thus, the H1 hypothes is accepted.Keyword : the STAD Model, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Contextual Teaching and Learning method on students learning outcome of V grades Science class. Type og the research is experiment with quasi experiment method in the form pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. The samples of the research are 30 students of SD 12 Bukit Cangang from class V as a experiment class and 30 students of SDN 01 Benteng Pasar Atas from class VB as a control class which are selected based on simple random sampling technique. Based on t-test calculation obtained t calculate 2,09, while ttabel at level of trust 0,05 is 1,67155, so thitung > ttabel. This means that CTL model better in Science lesson. Keywords: CTL model, Science learning outcome.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of IPS learning outcomes by using Problem Solving method in class IV SDN 04 2x11 EnamLingkung. The type of research is class action research, using qualitative and quantitative approach, done with two cycles that is cycle I and cycle II. Increased: at planning 69,65% to 92,57%, teacher aspects 72,09% to 87,6%, student aspect 70% to 88,6%. It can be concluded that problem solving method can improve student learning result of IPS. Keywords: Problem solving; IPS learning outcomes

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in learning Civics in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 16 Campago Ipuh City Bukittinggi is caused by teacher-centered learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of learning outcomes in learning Civics by menngunakan cooperative learning model type two stay two stray in elementary school. This type of research is PTK by using qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of this research is teacher and fourth grader of SDN 16 Campago Ipuh City Bukittinggi. The results of the research showed that in the first cycle the students' learning outcomes were 69.5% with sufficient qualification, increased in cycle II to 83% with good qualification. So it can be concluded that the use of Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay Two Stray in learning Civics can improve learning outcomes in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 16 Campago Ipuh City Bukittinggi.  Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Civics, Cooperative Learning Type Two Stay Two Stray.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of students’ learning result in the civic subject by using the STAD Model for 5th grade students. The subjects of this research were the researcher herself and 20 students. This classroom action research used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The result shows that in planning phases there is improvement from 76,12 in cycle I to 93,5 in cycle II. Teachers’ aspect improves from 68,74 in cycle I to 91,66 in cycle II. students’ aspect improves from 68,74 in cycle I to 91,66 in cycle II. furthermore, the improvement also can be seen from students’ learning result that improves from 76,12 in cycle I to 93,5 in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the STAD Model can improve students’ learning result.    Keywords: PKn; Learning Outcomes; STAD Model
