Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between study habits and the learning outcomes of the student’s mathematical konowledge in the 5th Grade of all Elementary Schools in Cluster IV of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh. This is a correlational research. Sampling was conducted with the saturted sampling technique and the sample includes 5th Grade students in all of Elementary Schools in Cluster IV of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh. Data were collected through tests and the hypothesis testing used a product moment correlation formula. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the study habits and the learning outcomes of the 5th Grade students of Elementary Schools in Cluster Iv of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh are categorized as moderate. The result of the product moment correlation test shows that tcount (0,954)>ttable (0,177), which means that there is a correlation between study habits anda the learning outcomes of the students’ mathematical knowledge in the 5th Grade of all Elementary Schools in Cluster IV of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the facts indicating that the integrated thematic     learning was not run as it was expected. The teacher seemed to ignore the involvement of the learners in making correlation between the laerning materials and their real life. The purpose of   this research  was  to  describe the application  of PBL model  in integrated thematic learning process. The technique used is observation. This research is a class action. This research was conducted at SDN 15 Ulu Gadut Kota Padang. The subject of the research was the teacher and the learners of class IV totaling 24 people . The result of the research revealed that the quality of integrated thematic learning increased. The first cycle of meetings one aspect of RPP 81,25%, teacher aspects 75,00%, and students 75,00%, meeting 2 aspects of observation RPP 87,5%, teacher aspects 85,72%, and aspects of learners 85,72%. Cycle 2 observes RPP 93,75%, teacher aspects 92,86%, and learners aspects 92,86%. This proves that the PBL model can improve the learning process of student.

Abstract

Adolescent behavior is influenced by the environment namely the educational environment and peers. School is a context that is important for moral development. School well-being is important to know because it can be used as an evaluation tool for students' welfare in life at school. Students who are not prosperous towards their school can influence students to behave aggressively, namely the desire to intentionally attack or hurt others. This research is to examine the relationship between school well-being and aggressiveness in high school students in Padang City. This study uses cluster random sampling, for class XI students accredited A Private and State High School. Data collection uses two questionnaires namely Questionnaire School well-being (28 items) and the Questionnaire for Aggressiveness (26 items). The results of the analysis using simple regression analysis show a negative correlation between school well-being and aggressiveness (rxy = -0.2). The higher the school well-being, the lower the aggressiveness, and vice versa.Kata kunci: school well-being, aggressiveness.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' integrated thematic learning outcomes using a contextual teaching and learning approach. Integrated thematic learning is one of learning that combines several subjects into one theme. integrated thematic learning also links learning with students' daily lives and integrated thematic learning can also make the learning process more meaningful, efficient and effective. This research method, using classroom action research methods. The research procedure is in the form of a cycle. Each cycle consists of three stages: planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. Data collection technique through observation and test. This data collection uses instruments in the form of observation sheets of student and teacher observations in the learning process, then to find out the quality of student learning outcomes used evaluation sheets / tests. The results of the study indicate that the use of contextual teaching and learning approaches can improve student integrated thematic learning outcomes. From an average value of73.07 in the first cycle, to 85.15 in the second cycle

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the phenomenon of the number of students who consider lectures to be insignificant, leading to reduced learning motivation for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between educational aspirations and student motivation in the Tarbiyah IAIN Kerinci Faculty. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. The population of this study was students of Islamic Biology and Counseling Guidance at Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Kerinci. The total sample of 42 students was selected using the Purposive Random Sampling technique. The research instruments used were educational aspiration questionnaires and student learning motivation questionnaires. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques and Pearson Product Moment techniques with the help of the SPSS For Windows 20.0 program. The results revealed that (1) student education aspirations were in the low category (2) student learning motivation was in the moderate category, and (3) there was a positive significant relationship between educational aspirations and student learning motivation with a correlation coefficient of 0.691 at the 0,000 significance level . Based on the research findings, it is recommended that the counselor be able to provide guidance and counseling services, information services, individual counseling services, group guidance services and group counseling services to students, so as to help improve educational aspirations and learning motivation for students.
