Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of sequence of service training provided to students of the Food and Beverage Management Study Program at Politeknik Pariwisata Batam in preparing them to enter the hospitality industry. Sequence of service, as a guideline for the sequence and steps that must be followed in serving guests—from their arrival until they leave the restaurant—is a crucial factor in determining guest satisfaction during their visit. Satisfied guests are more likely to return, whereas dissatisfied guests tend not to come back, which directly affects the profitability of hospitality businesses.This research is motivated by the growing demand for qualified human resources in the hospitality industry, particularly in the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector. To meet this demand, it is essential to prepare well-trained personnel who can respond effectively to guest needs.This study employs a qualitative descriptive method using techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the analysis of several factors influencing the effectiveness of training—namely training design, teaching methods, participant engagement, management support, evaluation and feedback, relevance to industry needs, and post-training support—it can be concluded that the training conducted at the Food and Beverage Management Study Program of Politeknik Pariwisata Batam is effective and aligned with hospitality industry standards. This is evidenced by students’ readiness to enter the hospitality industry and their successful placement in internationally standardized hotels both domestically and abroad.

Abstract

Transportation and logistics sector companies play an important role in supporting the distribution of goods and services in Indonesia. This sector includes land, sea, air transportation services, as well as supply chain management. This study aims to analyze the effect of operating cash flow and company size on financial performance in companies in this sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Financial performance is measured by the return on assets (ROA) ratio. Data was obtained through the documentation method from the official IDX website and related company websites. The sample was determined by purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that operating cash flow has a significant effect on financial performance. Company size also has a significant effect on financial performance. These findings indicate that internal factors such as operating cash flow and company scale affect the financial performance of transportation and logistics sector companies.

Abstract

The low purchase intention among TikTok Shop users is a major issue, despite the platform’s considerable potential in the national e-commerce sector. This indicates a gap between market potential and actual purchase realization that has not been optimally utilized. As one of the most popular social commerce platforms, TikTok Shop offers interactive features such as live shopping and video reviews, which have the potential to increase online shopping activity. However, its purchase conversion rate still lags behind competitors like Shopee. Influencer credibility is believed to be an important factor because influencers can shape consumer perceptions through engaging, persuasive, and seemingly more trustworthy content. This study aims to analyze the influence of influencer credibility on the purchase intention of TikTok Shop users in Samarinda City. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. A total of 127 active TikTok Shop users were selected as respondents. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression, t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to measure the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results indicate that influencer credibility has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. The higher the level of trustworthiness, attractiveness, and expertise of an influencer, the greater the consumer’s tendency to purchase the promoted product. The R² value of 0.270 shows that 27% of the variation in purchase intention is explained by influencer credibility, while the remaining 73% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The increased degree of competition in the post-Covid-19 culinary industry has forced business owners, particularly Rumah Makan Padang Payakumbuah, to implement efficient marketing techniques aimed at increasing sales and ensuring long-term economic viability.  This study addresses the primary topic of how well-planned marketing strategies can improve the sales performance of culinary businesses in a quickly changing market environment.  The major goal is to investigate and evaluate the marketing planning strategies used and their influence on business growth.  This study employs a literature review strategy in conjunction with a qualitative descriptive methodology.  Content analysis is used to investigate relevant sources, such as academic journals, scholarly books, articles, and other secondary data that support the study's findings. According to the findings, Rumah Makan Padang Payakumbuah has successfully developed a comprehensive marketing strategy using digital technologies such as social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and innovative, theme-based promotional campaigns. Such attempts have been successful in raising brand awareness, expanding market reach, and dramatically increasing sales volume. Furthermore, the integration of the marketing mix (4Ps) and SWOT analysis has improved the company's competitive position in an increasingly saturated businesses.  The emphasis on authentic culinary flavors, precise market segmentation, and a digitally driven promotional approach are identified as key drivers behind the business’s notable success.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of influencer endorsement on consumer purchase intention among TikTok Shop users in Samarinda City. The research is motivated by the rising role of social media, particularly TikTok, as a digital marketplace that connects influencers with potential buyers. The study aims to determine the extent to which influencer endorsements affect consumer buying decisions. A quantitative method was employed, using a questionnaire distributed to 110 active TikTok Shop users in Samarinda. Data analysis was conducted through simple linear regression. The results show that influencer endorsement has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Key factors include consumer trust, emotional connection, and the attractiveness of the influencer. These findings highlight the strategic role of influencers in shaping consumer behavior and provide valuable insights for businesses aiming to enhance digital marketing efforts through social media collaborations, particularly in the context of local e-commerce.

Abstract

In 2018, PT Garuda Indonesia was involved in a financial statement manipulation scandal that affected investor confidence in the Indonesian capital market. The actions were indicated as window dressing. Based on POJK No. 39/POJK03/2019/Regarding SAF Commercial Banks, window dressing refers to the manipulation of financial statements with the aim of presenting the company's financial condition in a more favorable light than the actual reality. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data collected through documentation techniques. The sample was determined using purposive sampling, comprising 158 data samples. Analysis was conducted using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, hypothesis tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The results of the study indicate that the size of the audit committee has a significant effect on financial reporting quality, while gender diversity in the committee does not have a significant effect on financial reporting quality.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze profit planning at UMKM Sabana Outlet Karangsari, Regency Bekasi, through the Break Even Point (BEP) and contribution margin approaches. UMKM plays a vital role in Indonesia's economy, including in the fast food sector such as Sabana Fried Chicken. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including field observation, interviews, and financial documentation. The results show that the total fixed monthly costs amount to IDR 16,375,000 and variable costs are IDR 6,600,000. With a selling price per unit of IDR 10,000 and variable cost per unit of IDR 7,333, the contribution margin per unit is recorded at IDR 2,667. Based on calculations, the break-even point is reached at sales of 6,139 pieces or equivalent to revenue of IDR 61,390,000. If the daily sales target is 30 pieces, the BEP can be achieved in approximately 205 days. These results indicate that BEP and contribution margin analyses are effective tools to support decision-making in improving efficiency, planning profit strategies, and ensuring the sustainability of UMKM operations, especially amid economic challenges and increasingly competitive markets. By applying profit planning based on quantitative analysis, business actors can map strategic steps more accurately, adaptively, and with a long-term growth orientation.

Abstract

The Food and Beverage subsector is one of the manufacturing company categories included in the consumer goods sector, and is currently experiencing significant growth. In an era of increasingly intense economic competition, companies are required to have strong competitiveness in order to survive and achieve their corporate goals. One of the main goals that every company wants to achieve is to maximize profits or earnings in each period. Therefore, financial statement analysis is needed to analyze, estimate profits, and make decisions regarding the profit growth that will be achieved by the company. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Quick Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Net Profit Margin, and Return on Investment on Profit Growth in Manufacturing Companies in the Food and Beverage Subsector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2023. The data collection methods used are literature review and documentation. The analysis techniques used include descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests (normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroskedasticity test, and autocorrelation test), multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing (F-test, t-test, and coefficient of determination). The results of the study indicate that the Debt to Equity Ratio and Return On Investment have a significant effect on the profit growth of manufacturing companies (food and beverage sub-sector) for the period 2019-2023. Meanwhile, the Quick Ratio and Net Profit Margin do not have a significant effect on the profit growth of manufacturing companies (food and beverage sub-sector) for the period 2019-2023. Abstract

The rapid growth of the culinary industry in metropolitan areas such as Palembang has intensified competition among businesses striving to attract and retain customers. One strategic aspect in building consumer loyalty is customer experience at the outlet, along with the ease and quality of service provided through online ordering applications. The phenomenon observed at Mie Gacoan Jakabaring Palembang indicates that customers are not only drawn to the variety of menu options and affordable prices, but also to the overall dining experience and the convenience of digital services. This study aims to analyze the influence of in-store customer experience and online service delivery on consumer loyalty at Mie Gacoan Jakabaring Palembang. A quantitative approach with an associative-causal design was employed. A total of 110 respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The analysis involved validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that customer experience has a positive and significant effect on consumer loyalty, with a t-value of 4.184 (p = 0.004), while online service delivery also has a positive and significant effect, with a t-value of 5.932 (p = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables exert a positive and significant influence on consumer loyalty, with an F-value of 18.829 (p = 0.000). These findings highlight the importance of strengthening customer experience and optimizing online services to enhance consumer loyalty.

Abstract

The dominance of Generation Z in today’s workforce has transformed how companies perceive organizational dynamics and human resource management. PT. Telang Agro Mandiri, an agribusiness company based in Banyuasin Regency, is among the entities facing challenges in adjusting workloads, fostering a supportive work environment, and enhancing employees’ self-efficacy, particularly among young workers. This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, work environment, and self-efficacy on the performance of Generation Z employees at PT. Telang Agro Mandiri. A quantitative approach with an associative-causal design was employed, involving 77 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The findings indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t = 4.939; p = 0.000), the work environment also shows a positive and significant influence (t = 2.441; p = 0.017), and self-efficacy likewise contributes positively and significantly (t = 2.823; p = 0.006). Simultaneously, the three variables exert a positive and significant impact on Generation Z employee performance (F = 30.131; p = 0.000). These results highlight the importance of PT. Telang Agro Mandiri’s management in ensuring fair workload distribution, cultivating a conducive work environment, and strengthening employee confidence through continuous training and development to enhance Generation Z performance.
