Abstract

Contract disputes between owners of pharmaceutical facilities (PSAs) and pharmacists in charge (APAs) often arise due to an imbalance in the rights and obligations stipulated in cooperation agreements. These contracts are often onerous for pharmacists, such as requiring them to find a replacement before resigning, without providing adequate protection. In some cases, pharmacists do not even receive the salary to which they are entitled. This research aims to analyze the legal protections available to pharmacists facing contract disputes and the government's responsibility in resolving such issues. This research uses a normative legal study method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The research findings show that legal protection for pharmacists is divided into two aspects: internal (through contracts) and external (through government regulations). However, many contracts do not have adequate dispute resolution mechanisms, and the implementation of government responsibilities is still not optimal. The study concludes that there is a need to improve cooperation agreements between PSAs and APAs by adopting the principles of equality and fairness. The government should improve supervision and law enforcement to protect pharmacists from violations of their rights. In addition, dispute resolution mechanisms, both litigation and non-litigation, should focus more on efficiency and effectiveness.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the human rights aspects involved in the implementation of pregnancy programs beyond natural methods. The focus is on understanding the legal and ethical implications of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), sperm and egg donation, and surrogacy. These technologies offer solutions for couples facing infertility but raise significant human rights and ethical issues, particularly regarding patient autonomy and the legal framework surrounding their use in Indonesia. The research methodology used in this thesis is normative juridical and the research approach utilizes a statutory, conceptual and comparative approach to examine national and international legal instruments, including the Indonesian Health Law and human rights conventions, to evaluate the extent to which they protect the rights of individuals undergoing ART procedures. The study found that while existing laws provide some level of protection, there are gaps and inconsistencies that may hinder the effective realization of reproductive rights. Recommendations include improving legal clarity and regulatory oversight, raising public awareness on reproductive rights, and ensuring that ART services are accessible and ethically implemented. By addressing these issues, this thesis aims to contribute to the development of a stronger legal framework that supports individual reproductive autonomy and upholds human rights in the context of assisted reproduction.

Abstract

In modern nations, women's roles have significantly evolved, granting them increased access to education, employment, and social mobility. Women's equality and autonomy are now often seen as hallmarks of progress, contrasting with traditional frameworks that reinforce male dominance. Despite these advancements, the women’s movement advocating for gender rights continues globally. In developing countries like Indonesia—a Muslim-majority state—the societal view of women's roles remains complex. Many still prioritize marriage over education for women, and traditional values often expect women to be devoted wives and mothers, even as more women enter the workforce. This study explores how Indonesia reconciles traditional Islamic values with modern gender roles, particularly regarding Muslim women in the labor force. Employing qualitative research methods, this study analyzes secondary data from books, scholarly journals, official documents, news articles, and online sources to understand the societal, religious, and political dimensions influencing the participation of Muslim women in Indonesia's workforce. The findings reveal an ongoing negotiation between religious expectations and modern socio-economic demands, showing how Muslim women balance cultural obligations with professional aspirations. This research contributes to discussions on gender, religion, and modernization in Southeast Asia, emphasizing the importance of contextual sensitivity in addressing gender equity.

Abstract

Many fatherless women experience anxiety about marriage, which causes many women to marry at a very mature age. Marital anxiety can arise due to difficult past experiences, repeated feelings of worry, and, worst of all, not trusting other people, especially those of the opposite sex. This can give rise to various conflicts both for yourself and when you have a partner later. Regarding commitment, uncertainty about the future, and repetition of bad relationship patterns are the beginnings of various problems that become a stronghold for self-defence. Many of them choose to live without having relationships with the opposite sex. This article aims to explore the anxiety of women who experience fatherlessness, both in terms of the factors that cause them to choose to live single longer and even choose not to marry. This seems very warning to others, especially from the perspective of Islamic Law and Family Psychology. In this article, it is intended that anxiety about marriage will be reduced a little, although not completely, but just a little bit of their approach will also think about how the world should continue. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with semi-structured interviews and unstructured observations focusing on the criteria for women aged 20-35 years and relying on journal articles, literature and online magazines as other supporting media. The results of this article can be concluded that the four subjects who had marriage anxiety had reasons including factors related to non-hormonal family background, past experiences, social expectations and environmental pressure, uncertainty about partners, emotional and mental readiness, and demographic factors that made them afraid of having a serious relationship. In this article, it is found that anxiety tends to appear as a form of wrong self-protection, apart from that, families, the environment, and academics and practitioners are expected to design more effective support programs, especially for couples who want to continue their relationship in a more serious direction, providing a comfortable and safe space.

Abstract

Dental caries cases are an increasing problem in adult and pediatric patients, one of the causes of which is the Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Pineapple peel (Ananas comosus L.) is a plant part that has been known to have antibacterial activity due to the content of secondary metabolites epicatechin and quercetin. However, the exploration of pineapple peel as a nanoparticle mouthwash has not been widely done. This study aims to extract pineapple peel, analyze the phytochemical profile of the extract, conduct molecular docking tests on dental caries protein targets, test the antibacterial activity of pineapple peel extract on Streptococcus mutans cultures, optimize and evaluate the formulation of "PIENNO-MOASH" nanoparticle mouthwash preparations. The extraction method was carried out by maceration of 70% ethanol solvent then the extract results were qualitatively tested for phytochemical screening. In silico antibacterial activity testing was carried out by molecular docking on Ag I/II and GbpC proteins. While testing antibacterial activity in vitro using disc diffusion method with pineapple peel extract concentration. The results of maceration obtained yield of pineapple peel extract 6.88%. Qualitatively positive extracts contain alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, quinones, polyphenols, and triterpenoids. In silico antibacterial testing results showed epicatechin as the best Ag I/II protein inhibitor and quercetin as the best GbpC protein inhibitor. The results of antibacterial testing in vitro could not be analyzed due to the appearance of bacterial contamination. The results of optimization and evaluation showed that formulation F2 had particle size, specific gravity, pH, and viscosity that met the nanoparticle preparation. So it can be concluded that pineapple peel extract contains secondary metabolites that can affect the growth of Streptoccocus mutans bacteria and formula F2 has a composition that meets the requirements of nanoparticle mouthwash preparations.

Abstract

This study examines the role of smallholder palm oil plantations in the economic development of Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia, a region pivotal to the nation’s palm oil history yet under-researched. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the research analyzes secondary data (2019–2023) from the Central Statistics Agency and employs Location Quotient (LQ), Growth Ratio Model, and Klassen Typology to evaluate palm oil’s sectoral dominance, growth, and regional positioning. Findings reveal that palm oil is a leading commodity (LQ > 1), with production exceeding local demand and strong growth potential (positive Growth Ratio values). However, labor absorption remains low (LQ < 1), indicating a need for workforce-focused policies. The Klassen Typology classifies the sector as "advanced and rapidly growing," contributing significantly to regional GDP. The study’s novelty lies in its integrated analytical framework and focus on Aceh Tamiang’s unique challenges. Implications suggest enhancing labor opportunities through skill development, diversifying value chains (e.g., biofuel), and adopting sustainable certification (RSPO). This research provides actionable insights for policymakers to optimize palm oil’s economic benefits while addressing labor and sustainability gaps.
