Abstract

The coaching of the Pūjā Tri Sandhyā mantra is still an emphasis in the learning process in non-formal boarding schools until now, but problems in reciting this mantra are still often found in students. The problems that arise are not only related to the differences in the mantras of the 1991 PHDI standard version and the previous version, but more serious problems related to the emergence of new word pronunciations. This phenomenon is very important to study in order to obtain a clear picture of the causes of this problem so that it can become a reference for interested parties in formulating appropriate solutions. This study uses a qualitative approach that implements observation, interviews, and documentation to collect representative data. The results of the study show that the factors causing the problems of reciting the Pūjā Tri Sandhyā mantra which have not been fully resolved to date are the lack of Sanskrit language development and the tendency of students to imitate this mantra without any correction. The orientation of the learning pattern at the pasraman does not emphasize how to chant mantras in accordance with Sanskrit provisions but tends to increase śraddhā and devotional service in the form of prayer habits.

Abstract

A country that has multiethnic and multimental uniqueness like Indonesia is faced with its own dilemma, on the one hand bringing Indonesia to become a great nation as a multicultural nation-state, but on the other hand it is a threat. So it is not an exaggeration to say that multicultural conditions are like coals in husks which are easily ignited and heat up at any time. Indonesia has great potential for conflicts between groups, ethnic groups, religions and ethnic groups. One of the indications is that various social, professional, religious, and organizations or groups have started to thrive and are struggling and acting on behalf of group interests which lead to SARA (ethnic, religious, racial and inter-group) conflicts. To produce valid and reliable data, this paper uses a qualitative writing style. In producing logical data, this paper performs several stages of data sorting in the form of: 1). Data reduction, 2). Display data, 3). Verifying data, and 4). Interpreting research data. In its presentation, measurable analysis becomes the basis for processing the data obtained. The perfection of this paper cannot be separated from the library technique which is carried out through an assessment of the existing literature on Google Scholar. Education is the spearhead that is able to restrain and eradicate all harmful doctrines of non-plural and non-multicultural actions which are very appropriate to be applied in the current era in preventing interests and combinations of intolerant understandings in the name of a religion. Strategies in school and implementing a curriculum that emphasizes pluralism and multiculturalism in the current era are very important to be followed up immediately so that misleading intellectual understanding does not multiply ingrained in students' understanding. The role of parents and teachers must be able and synergized in implementing an understanding of the concept of plurality and the plurality of a life so that later students or students understand differences and are able to re-instill heterogeneity. Hinduism in the scope of analysis of pluralism education highly appreciates social diversity. The concept of Hinduism which incidentally is very plural and in its holy book contains teachings about realizing tolerance, namely Widya, Maitri, Ahimsa, and Santi.

Abstract

The study of the potential use of archaeological remains in Candi Retno as a source of learning the history of Hinduism during the Mataram Kuno Kingdom has not been carried out in depth. The purpose of this study is to analyze a variety of archaeological findings patterned Hindu during the Mataram Kuno Kingdom at Candi Retno. Another objective is to analyze the potential development of Hindu-style archaeological relics in Candi Retno as a source of learning the history of Hinduism during the Mataram Kuno Kingdom. Qualitative methods were used in this study which aimed to analyze the object of study, namely archaeological relics in Candi Retno in the form of temples and yoni. The results showed that the variety of archaeological remains found at Candi Retno were temple building ruins, yoni and some artifacts in the form of loose finds. The findings of archaeological remains at Candi Retno show that in the past the people of the Mataram Kuno Kingdom embraced Hinduism. Archaeological relics with Hindu patterns in Candi Retno have the potential to be developed as a source of learning Hindu history in historical learning. The material that can be developed is the history of Hinduism during the Mataram Kuno Kingdom, the iconography of Hinduism during Mataram Kuno, the technology of building sacred Hindu buildings, and the preservation of archaeological relics with a Hindu background.

Abstract

Education is an area of ​​life that is very important to improve the quality of a nation. But even so, the quality of education in Indonesia was still far from advanced and foremost. On this basis, Merdeka Belajar (Freedom of Learning)program was born from Indonesian government's to answer these problems. In order to bridge the program, it needed to support and views from various sides, including from the perspective of Hindu Religious Education. Based on these problems, the researcher through this paper was interested in studying Merdeka Belajar (Freedom of Learning) program from the perspective of Hindu Religious Education. From there, three formulations of the problem were born, namely the nature of Merdeka Belajar (Freedom of Learning), the Perspective of Hindu Religious Education on Merdeka Belajar (Freedom of Learning), and its implications for creating the Golden Indonesia 2045. Through qualitative research methods with a library study approach, the results of this research showed that the essence of Freedom of Learning as an urgent program can be supported by the noble views of Hindu Religious Education to prepare for Golden Indonesia 2045.

Abstract

Humans need harmony in their lives; harmony relationship with God, humans, and the environment. This teaching in Hinduism is called Tri Hita Karana consisting of 1) Parahyangan,; a harmonious relationship between humans and the Almighty God (Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa), 2) Pawongan; a harmonious relationship between humans and fellow human beings and 3) Palemahan; a harmonious relationship between humans and natural environment. The teacher does not only provide knowledge to students, but in learning it is also interspersed with giving advice so that students have good character, such as being religious, socially concerned, environmentally concerned and disciplined when the teacher explains the material. Therefore, students are not only smart in terms of knowledge, but also have good character and attitude. Through Hindu Religious and Moral Education, students can find out various Hindu religious teachings which are very effectively implemented to be able to develop their character. The implementation of learning in the classroom is related to the concept of Tri Hita Karana teachings. Because of the Tri Hita Karana learning material, students have an understanding of Tri Hita Karana teachings before applying them in their daily life, especially at school. Whereas in an effort to develop student character outside the classroom, Hindu Religious and Moral Education teachers invite students to implement the Tri Hita Karana teachings that have been obtained in class in the form of the practice of making ceremonies at Padmasana schools as students' psychomotor values and implementation in the form of attitudes that show good character in himself related to the teachings of Parahyangan, Pawongan and Palemahan in the school environment. The impact of implementing the teachings of Tri Hita Karana on the character development of students at SMP Negeri 1 Bangli is as follows: developing student character, increasing student awareness to carry out their religious teachings, increasing awareness of students towards others, increasing student awareness to the environment, and creating harmony.

Abstract

The Samudramanthana story is one of the mythical stories of Hinduism recorded in several Purana books, where there are figures and symbols that have their own meaning in the process of religious life, especially in the Padmasana building at Jagatnatha Temple, Denpasar. The issues to be discussed include: (1) What is the form of the visualization of religious values in the Samudramanthana story in the Padmasana building at the Agung Jagatnatha Temple Denpasar?, (2) What are the implications of the visualization of religious values in the Samudramanthana story in the Padmasana building at the Agung Jagatnatha Temple Denpasar for education? Hindu religion?. This study aims to find out: (1) the form of visualization of religious values in the Samudramanthana story in the Padmasana building at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Denpasar, (2) The implications of the visualization of religious values in the Samudramanthana story in the Padmasana building at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Denpasar for Hindu religious education. The theory used to analyze the problem is the theory of Hermeneutics from Ricocur and the theory of Social Learning from Albert Bandura. The subject of this research is the Stakeholder/Stakeholder of Pura Agung Jagatnatha Denpasar. Data collection methods are non-participant observation, open interviews, literature studies and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative analysis methods with reduction steps, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the form of visualization of religious values in the Samudramanthana story in the Padmasana building at the Agung Jagatnatha Denpasar Temple, namely considering that there are very many figures or symbols in the Samudramanthana story that are visualized in the Padmasana building, especially the Padmasana building at the Agung Jagatnatha Temple Denpasar. The implication of the visualization of religious values in Samudramanthana's story in the Padmasana building at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Denpasar for Hindu religious education, is to provide an overview of the conception of the three basic frameworks of Hinduism namely tattwa, morals, and ceremonies

Abstract

Abstract Pembentukan karakter yang baik perlu dilakukan sejak dini mulai sekolah dasar (SD). Strategi alternatif yang dilakukan untuk membangun insan yang cerdas dan berkarakter dengan mengembangkan pendidikan yang bersifat universal digunakan sebagai landasan pendidikan karakter yakni Catur Guru (Guru rupaka, Guru Pengajian, Guru Wisesa, danGuru Swadyaya) yang diterapkan oleh guru agama Hindu yang disesuaikan dalam pembelajaran tatap muka pada siswa kelas V di SD Nomor Kutuh, pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode observasi non partisipan. Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan: (1) Mengapa dilakukan Implementasi ajaran Catur Guru pada siswa kelas V SD Nomor 3 Kutuh?, (2) Bagaimana proses Implementasi ajaran Catur Guru dalam pembentukan karakter siswa kwlas V SD Nomor 3 Kutuh?, (3) Bagaimana implikasi dari implementasi ajaran Catur Guru dalam pembentukan karakter siswa kelas V SD Nomor 3 Kutuh?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk memahami proses dan, (2) untuk memahami implikasi ajaran Catur Guru dalam Membentuk Karakter Siswa Kelas V. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: Teori Konstrutivistik untuk menjawab rumusan masalah satu, dan teori Behavioristik untuk menjawab rumusan masalah tiga. Penelitian ini berbentuk rancangan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Teknik observasi langsung, Teknik wawancara tidak terstruktur dan studi dokumen. Setelah data terkumpul, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Trianggulasi data. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Proses penerapan ajaran Catur Guru dalam pembelajaran Agama Hindu diawali dengan tahap persiapan materi ajar, menyampaikan materi ajar menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning atau pembelajaran berbasis masalah, lalu berdiskusi, pemberian tugas evaluasi sebagai tahap akhir. Ajaran yang diterapkan: (a) Guru Rupaka (Orang Tua), (b) Guru Pengajian (Guru di Sekolah), (c) Guru Wisesa (Pemerintah) dan, (d) Guru Swadyaya (Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa/Tuhan Yang Maha Esa). (2) Implikasi dari penerapan ajaran Catur Guru yaitu: (a) meningkatkan sikap ketaqwaan (Sradha Bhakti) siswa, (b) meningkatkan sikap kejujuran siswa, (c) meningkatkan sikap kedisiplinan siswa, (d) meningkatkan sikap tanggung jawab siswa. Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Ajaran Catur Guru, Membentuk Karakter Siswa Kelas V

Abstract

Abstrak Agama Hindu mengenal ajaran tentang tahapan kehidupan yang disebut dengan catur asrama. Dimana tahapan kehidupan dibuat jenjang sedemikian rupa guna mencapai sebuah tujuan yang harmonis. Jika tahapan-tahapan dilalui dengan baik maka kehidupan menjadi lebih tertata dan bermakna. Dalam era modern ini tahapan-tahapan kehidupa mulai bergeser. Tahapan demi tahapan saling tumpang tindih sehingga menimbulkan ketidak harmonisan dalam kehidupan. Banyak terjadi kasus dimana pada saat masa belajar namun sudah dipaksa memasuki jenjang berumahtangga, hal ini tentu akan berakibat pada ketidak siapan baik mental maupun finansial. Jika terjadi demikian maka setiap jenjang akan terganggu dan tujuan akhir dari kehidupan akan sulit terwujud. Untuk meminimalisir kasus-kasus demikian maka tahapan catur asrama yaitu Brahmacari perlu mendapat sorotan khusus. Tahapan pertama harus dijadikan pondasi pokok dan diberikan penguatan-penguatan agar setiap individu siap untuk melangkah ke jenang-jenjang berikutnya sehinga tujuan kebahagian baik jagadhita dan moksa dapat tercapai.

Abstract

Humans are creatures that struggle intensely with education. That is why humans are given the nicknames as animal educandum and animal educandus. Humans are human beings who are gifted with reason, so humans need education in the process of their life. The existence of the idea of independent learning is a very good idea where this idea has given educators and students freedom in determining the learning system. In a lesson is determined by the teaching itself. The influence of this teaching generally liberates humans for their lives from birth, while the independence of the inner life comes from education. An independent human being is a human whose life does not depend on other people, but relies on his own strength. Meanwhile, Indonesian students are lifelong students who are competent, have character, and behave according to Pancasila values. In the process of implementing independent learning, of course there will be obstacles and obstacles. This research is a qualitative research that uses a literature study approach by reading various relevant literature in the form of books, journals, newspapers, magazines, the internet, and other important records. While this study aims to describe the independent learning according to Ki Hadjar Dewantara's view in the formation of Pancasila student profiles, describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the formation of Pancasila student profiles in schools and the solutions sought in learning that takes place in schools in the formation of Pancasila student profiles. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the results of this study indicate that independent learning is the right step to achieve an ideal education that is in accordance with current conditions and the aim is to prepare students who are strong, intelligent, creative, and have character that is in line with the values Pancasila. In addition, the implementation of independent learning according to Ki Hadjar Dewantara's view is very relevant to the development of Pancasila student profiles, namely students can internalize Pancasila values in their lives and consider aspects of balance of creativity, taste and intention. Meanwhile, the driving factors in the formation of a Pancasila student profile consist of: 1) Inheritance from oneself (internal factors); 2) Personality (internal factors); 3) Family (external factor); 4) Educators (external factors); and 5) Environment (external factors). While the inhibiting factors in the formation of Pancasila student profiles in schools are the lazy character of a small number of students, the limitations of educators in designing good lesson plans or teaching modules, the limitations of educators in using media, IT and various learning resources, and also the lack of time available to teaching and learning activities. Meanwhile, problem solving carried out by educators includes using a psychological approach to students through habituation, role models, examples and moral guidance and mentoring.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has opened the door to various educational innovations, and one of the innovations that stands out is the use of video games as an educational medium. In this context, the game "Segara Watch" has emerged as an educational tool that attracts attention. "Segara Watch's" innovative approach in combining technology with Balinese culture as an educational medium offers great potential in enriching education and preserving cultural heritage. Therefore, this research aims to explore how the values of Segara Kerthi are reflected in the game "Segara Watch" and to analyze its impact as an educational tool as well as introducing and promoting Balinese cultural values, especially Segara Kerthi, to the players. This research was analyzed using symbolic communication theory. Using interview, survey and observation collection methods to understand how this game influences their understanding of Balinese cultural values, especially the concept of Segara Kerthi. The results of this research have important significance. First, this research will provide deeper insight into the role of video games as an educational tool rich in cultural values. Second, this research will provide an understanding of how prospective young people, parents, teachers and the community respond to the Segara Watch game and how this game helps promote and preserve Balinese cultural values related to the Segara Kerthi concept.
