<![CDATA[One concrete element that is very important in efforts to improve the quality of human resources is improving the quality of education. However, in reality, teachers do not develop the creativity to plan, prepare and create mature teaching materials that are rich in innovation so that they are attractive to students. Problems regarding teachers' lack of awareness of the importance of preparing teaching materials that suit their needs, the benefits of teaching materials in preparing learning tools and implementing learning. The community service carried out is based on the aim of improving the ability of teachers at Krueng Baung State Elementary School in compiling and developing teaching materials. This activity was carried out by students from the Elementary School Teacher Education study program. The results of the preparation and production of teaching materials show that all participants understand what teaching materials are and have succeeded in compiling teaching materials according to the preparation process. The results of the teaching materials obtained are in the form of LKPD and Modules. Apart from that, based on the results of the interviews, all participants expressed positive responses to the training activities presented by the presenters. However, the obstacle faced is that teachers have difficulty understanding how to compile student competency indicators in the teaching materials they will create. One of the recommendations and shared commitments from teachers is to always train themselves in their ability to prepare good teaching materials.]]>

<![CDATA[According to WHO, an elderly person is someone who has reached the age of 60 years. At this age, elderly people experience setbacks or a decrease in function, one of which is changes and a decrease in the ability of the respiratory system, so it is not uncommon for elderly people to complain of dyspnea. One of the physiotherapy treatments for dyspnea is breathing exercises using pursed lip breathing and diaphragmatic breathing techniques. This outreach activity aims to enable the elderly to know and apply breathing exercises. The series of activities include preparation, counseling and evaluation. The evaluation was carried out by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test that had been carried out. It was found that there was an increase in the knowledge of the elderly regarding breathing exercises for dyspnea.]]>

The virus that causes dengue fever is dengue, while the vector that transmits it comes from the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. <![CDATA[The high consumption of cooking oil can result in the use of cooking oil being carried out repeatedly even though the use of cooking oil can only be used within certain limits. Used cooking oil has not been widely used by the community in several areas, including the community in Labuhan Village, Sumbawa. The community in Labuhan Village, Sumbawa, has many MSMEs related to cooking oil, including sellers of fried foods, crackers, skin crackers and food stalls, who need to use used cooking oil to minimize used cooking oil waste and increase their income from managing used cooking oil. So the aim of this service activity is to provide knowledge and improve skills as well as encourage the commitment of the Labuhan Sumbawa Village community in managing used cooking oil waste. This form of community service program takes the form of improving skills in the community through training activities. This community service activity is an expert activity with the stages of counseling, demonstration and training. The result of this service activity is an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in managing used cooking oil waste and there is a commitment to managing used cooking oil waste in protecting the environment and family health.]]>

<![CDATA[Journal of Community Education Service (JPPM) Volume 1, NO 1, March 2024 is a study that evaluates the impact of gadget use on the mental health of second grade students. This study aims to understand how excessive gadget use can affect the mental health of children in elementary school age. In this study, 200 students from five elementary schools participated in surveys and interviews to collect data on gadget use patterns and its impact on their mental health. The results showed that excessive gadget use can cause emotional and behavioral problems in children, such as anxiety, depression and sleep disturbances. The study also highlights the importance of parents' and educators' monitoring of the time and type of content accessed by children through gadgets, as well as their active role in educating children about healthy gadget use. The research methods used included structured surveys and in-depth interviews, which allowed researchers to gain a comprehensive understanding of students' experiences and perceptions regarding gadget use. In addition, this study also discusses the factors that influence excessive gadget use and juvenile delinquency prevention, emphasizing the important role of education and supervision in preventing the negative impact of gadget use.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the role played by Tuan Guru in Kapek Hamlet, Gunungsari Village, Gunungsari District, especially in the context of the local community's political choices. In Kapek society, Tuan Guru is respected because he is considered an influential religious figure. Kapek Hamlet is surrounded by two Islamic boarding schools, namely Az-Ziziyah Islamic boarding school and Ad Dinul Qayyim Islamic boarding school. Tuan Guru's role there is very diverse; as the main mover in the spread of Islamic teachings, also active as an opinion leader, providing social guidance. The research aims to explore in depth how the role of Tuan Guru influences political decisions among local communities. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The research results show that Tuan Guru's role as an opinion leader tends to focus on moral focus and creating conducive democratic elections. However, Tuan Guru is not directly involved in practical politics and does not impose political choices on the community. They prioritize individual freedom of choice, in accordance with democratic principles and the teachings of the Islamic religion.]]>

<![CDATA[Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic, degenerative disease that attacks the joints and their tissues, primarily causing progressive damage to the articular cartilage and, subsequently, to the subchondral bone and surrounding synovial structures. Knee osteoarthritis commonly affects elderly patients and is a major cause of disability worldwide. The purpose of this activity is so that the public can find out about exercise programs that can be carried out to reduce complaints in OA sufferers. Counseling is carried out using the lecture method by distributing leaflets, implementing training programs, and asking questions. The data collection method in this research is by using pre-test and post-test. Based on the data obtained, there were quite significant changes in pre-test and post-test scores. The average correct answer on the pre-test questions was 4.9 (49%) increasing to 7.6 (76%) on the post-test questions. Thus, there was an increase in correct answers made by participants by 2.7 points (27%). So it can be concluded that participants in counseling activities experienced an increase in understanding of the osteoarthritis material that was presented.]]>

<![CDATA[Osteoarthritis is one of the contributors to the state of living with musculoskeletal disability. Because osteoarthritis is more common in older people with a typical onset of the age of 40-60 years. Although there are some cases of adolescents or athletes experiencing osteoarthritis. Data at the physiotherapy poly at the Setabelan health center is obtained per month there are 28 cases and per year 246 cases come to the physiotherapy room. This is only a case recorded and reported at the same health center, while according to Osteoarthritis data in Indonesia reaches 65% of the entire number of elderly in Indonesia. This data shows that osteoarthritis sufferers are still high and even occupy the peak of conditions suffered by the elderly in Indonesia. Efforts to prevent and control osteoarthritis knee disorders must be intensified again among the elderly in the same area. Through counseling at every elderly posyandu in the setabelan area, Surakarta. <![CDATA[Elderly people are susceptible to health problems, one of which is that their joint movement is reduced compared to when they were young. This occurs because the soft tissue in the joint bearing area decreases, which causes the ability of the bones and joints to weaken in supporting the body. One of the problems that many elderly people encounter is low back pain (LBP). LBP is a muscle (musculoskeletal) disorder which can be characterized by pain in the lumbar or lumbo-sacral area. LBP has the highest prevalence globally in musculoskeletal conditions and is the main cause of disability worldwide. The aim of holding this counseling is to increase knowledge about LBP and practice exercises independently at home so as to reduce complaints. The method for this outreach is by means of lectures and distribution of leaflets, evaluation of this activity uses a questionnaire that is distributed after and after the material delivery activity. The results of the counseling showed an increase in posyandu members' understanding of the material that had been presented. With this increased understanding, it is hoped that posyandu members can implement exercises that can reduce complaints of back pain.]]>
