Abstract

The ability to read the Qur'an for children is the basis for themselves or to be conveyed to others, therefore efforts to improve the ability to read the Qur'an are urgent guidance for Muslims in order to improve, appreciate and practice the Qur'an in everyday life. One way of learning language for PAUD children is through the introduction of hijaiyah letters. Language learning for children starts from first identifying the child's abilities, whether the child understands and recognizes the hijaiyah letters. Letters arranged in written form need to be introduced to children to help children's reading process become smoother. The Ummi method is a method of reading the Koran that directly includes and practices tartil reading according to the rules of tajwid science. The Ummi method aims to meet the needs of schools or institutions in managing the Al-Qur'an learning sistem whose management is able to provide guarantees that ensure every student can read the Al-Qur'an in tartil when they graduate from school.

Abstract

Highway geometric planning is an important part of road engineering that aims to create a safe, comfortable, and efficient path for road users. Community service activities in the form of education are one of the efforts to improve the quality of life of the community through providing useful understanding and skills. Observation is carried out using the interview method and direct observation in the field to identify problems faced by the community related to the planning and construction of neighborhood roads in the area. Based on the results of observations in the area targeted by the program, one of the work programs was determined, namely “Assistance in Geometric Highway Planning and Flexural Pavement Thickness in Sersan Bajuri, Lembang, Cihideung Village, Parongpong Sub-district, West Bandung Regency (KBB).” This program aims to provide the community with an understanding of the importance of environmental road planning in supporting accessibility and safety, including the planning process, selection of appropriate materials, understanding of structural elements, and application of plan drawings in the construction process.

Abstract

The community service aims to improve the utilisation of narrow land through vegetable cultivation. Creativity in utilising existing space becomes very important in the context of increasing urbanisation. In this effort, people were given training and socialisation on effective and environmentally friendly farming methods. The results of the community service that includes the use of narrow land for vegetable cultivation show that these efforts have great potential to improve food security and community welfare. The liquid organic fertiliser produced from this fermentation not only provides nutrients for plants, but also improves soil health and supports ecosystem sustainability. The enthusiasm and liveliness of the participants is good and it is hoped that they can implement narrow land around the house and can increase income, and improve the environment through this community service programme.

Abstract

This paper discusses the integration of environmental management policies and sustainable development in the city of Jayapura, which is an important city in Indonesia with a rich diversity of natural resources and significant environmental challenges. The issues raised pertain to the necessity of understanding and implementing a holistic approach to policies that integrate environmental aspects into the regional development process. This research aims to explore the relationship between environmental management policies and sustainable development, as well as to identify the legal principles underlying environmentally sustainable management in Jayapura. The methods used in this study include a normative legal approach and empirical analysis with descriptive analysis, encompassing literature studies and data collection from various sources, including policy documents, interviews with stakeholders, and field observations. The findings indicate that despite the existence of a supportive legal framework, such as the Environmental Management Law and local policies, challenges in the implementation of environmental policies in Jayapura remain significant. Pollution, ecosystem degradation, and conflicts between land use for development and environmental preservation are critical issues that need to be addressed. Furthermore, this research finds that community participation in environmental management is crucial for achieving sustainable development goals. Local communities need to be involved in the decision-making processes to ensure that the policies adopted are not only economically beneficial but also consider environmental sustainability and social welfare. The conclusion drawn is the need for continuous evaluation and oversight of environmental policies, as well as strengthening community capacity in natural resource management. Thus, effective integration of environmental management policies can be achieved, ultimately supporting inclusive and sustainable development in the city of Jayapura.

Abstract

Improving legal literacy in society has become an urgent need to prevent the increasing number of investment fraud cases. The lack of public understanding regarding the typology of investment crimes and effective investment management is often exploited by criminals to carry out fraudulent practices. This community service activity aims to provide education on legal literacy, particularly concerning the typology of investment crimes and safe investment management strategies. The methods used include legal socialization, case studies, and investment management training. The results of the activity showed active community participation in understanding the characteristics of illegal investments, such as Ponzi schemes and fraudulent investments, as well as grasping the principles of effective investment. Previously vulnerable to investment scams, the community is now more critical and aligned in selecting investment instruments. This activity is expected to contribute to building a legally aware society, capable of managing finances wisely and protected from the risks of investment crimes.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has had a big influence on education, especially in learning media. For this reason, regular learning innovations are needed. The aim of this service activity is to raise awareness among school residents about the importance of innovation both in terms of learning methods and learning media. Alley Language is one of the efforts made to create an innovative learning media. The method used in this service activity begins with conducting a survey at the target location. This was followed by discussion activities with the aim of discussing preparations and requirements for running this program. Then the next step is to provide counseling or introduction to a foreign language, namely Japanese, to all students of SMP Negeri 2 Bukit Batu. Then the final step is implementing the Language Hallway program which starts from preparing to make a board that will be installed in the Language Hallway to installing the Language Hallway. The result of this service program is a new facility at SMP Negeri 2 Bukit Batu, namely a foreign language learning medium located in one of the corridors of SMP Negeri 2 Bukit Batu.

Abstract

Curahpoh is one of the villages in Bondowoso regency that is one of the growing coffee centers. During the coffee harvest season, farmers experience difficulties harvesting coffee cherries due to the large number of black ants that nest in the coffee cherries. This results in a decrease in coffee production and harvesting is not maximized. So, efforts need to be made to optimize the harvest of coffee fruit. This community service aims to control black ants on coffee fruit in farmer groups in Curahpoh village, Curahdami, Bondowoso. This community service was carried out in several stages, namely field surveys, socialization of plant pest organisms and natural predators, control practices and monitoring. The results of this community service obtained that black ants act as natural predators of mealybugs on coffee fruit cups. Coffee farmers were enthusiastic during the socialization and assistance in the practice of making artificial ant nests that were hung on coffee plants. The black ants move from the coffee pods into the artificial nest, so that the coffee fruit harvesting process can be carried out optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the potential for developing culinary businesses based on innovation, especially ricebowls with crispy shrimp with sweet and spicy sauce, as a business opportunity in Lingkas Ujung Village. ricebowls with crispy shrimp with sweet and spicy sauce are a food innovation that combines spicy, sweet and crispy flavors, which can attract consumers, especially children, students and workers. The manufacturing process begins with the selection of quality raw materials, followed by the right shrimp processing techniques to produce an optimal crispy texture. The sweet and spicy sauce is designed to provide an attractive balance of spicy and sweet flavors. This study was also conducted in Lingkas Ujung Village to determine public interest in the product. The results of the study indicate that there is a large market potential in this area, with a positive response from consumers who have tasted the product. In addition, financial analysis shows that this culinary business has profitable prospects with reasonable capital and profit calculations. Thus, the culinary innovation of ricebowls with crispy shrimp with sweet and spicy sauce can be a promising business opportunity and has the potential to develop in Lingkas Ujung Village.

Abstract

Environmental management through implementation of a waste sorting program in Desa Kurungkambing aims to raise public awareness of environmental issues and improve environmental conditions by applying the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) concept. The methods employed in this program include ecological awareness training for the community, enhancement of waste-sorting infrastructure, and the development of a more efficient waste-sorting system. In this activity, the Community Service (PkM) team from Universitas Terbuka conducts training sessions to enhance the community’s understanding of the 3R concept while also improving infrastructure related to waste sorting. The implementation stages of this program include preparation, execution, evaluation, documentation, and dissemination. The outcomes of this PkM activity include a cleaner environment in Desa Kurungkambing, increased awareness and active participation of the community in waste sorting, and the establishment of Desa Kurungkambing as a positive example for neighboring villages.

Abstract

A Public Accountant is an individual who has obtained a license from the Minister of Finance to offer services in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 5 of 2011 concering Public Accountants. Public accountants are required to exhibit good behavior-being honest, responsible, and possessing high integrity. In carrying out their duties, public accountants must comply with and uphold the Public Accountant’s Profesional Standards (SPAP), the Code of Professional Ethics, and laws relevant to the services they provide. The Code of Ethics for Public Accountants serves as guideline for ethical conduct and as a guarantee of moral quality in society. However, public accountants still often commit violations despite the existence of the professional code of ethics. As a result, this may lead to scandals that damage the reputation of the public accounting profession and reduce public trust. The purpose of this article is to narratively explain how the principles and enforcement of the Code of Ethics for Public Accountants are implemented, so that audit results are consistent with the evidence found, without any accounting manipulation that could harm interested parties.
