Abstract

Agriculture in Samosir Regency has great potential but still faces land degradation, dependence on chemical fertilizers, and low utilization of organic waste. The younger generation’s knowledge of sustainable agriculture remains limited, accompanied by negative perceptions of the sector, while practice-based studies at the high school level are rare. Therefore, this study aims to implement bioecoenzim and Lacuba fertilizer training and examine students’ knowledge and perceptions of these activities. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sitiotio, involving 41 eleventh-grade students using a one-shot case study design. Data were collected through observation, documentation, questionnaires, and knowledge tests. The results showed that the training ran effectively, as evidenced by active student participation. Students’ perceptions were in the very positive category, with an average score of 87.97, while their knowledge was in the high category, with an average score of 89.76 (Above Average). Thus, bioecoenzim and Lacuba fertilizer training has proven to have the potential to enhance knowledge and foster positive perceptions among students toward sustainable agriculture. Therefore, expanding the application of bioecoenzim and Lacuba training in other schools is important as a practical environmental education tool to support sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Elementary school-aged children are in a period of rapid growth and are therefore susceptible to postural disorders, including scoliosis. Risk factors such as incorrect sitting posture, unbalanced bag carrying habits, and lack of physical activity can be prevented through early posture education. This community service activity was held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at SDN Pandanwangi 3, involving 448 students in grades 1–6. The methods used included interactive material delivery, posture demonstrations, movement simulations, and evaluation through quiz games and posture challenges. The results showed high student enthusiasm, with more than 80% able to answer questions and demonstrate correct posture, although lower-grade students still needed guidance. Physiotherapy-based education has been proven effective in improving students' knowledge and skills in maintaining posture, so it is important to carry it out continuously with the support of teachers and parents to prevent scoliosis from an early age. The results demonstrated positive outcomes, with over 80% of students able to correctly answer questions and perform posture exercises. The initiative underscores the importance of ongoing physiotherapy-based education, supported by both teachers and parents, in fostering good posture habits among young students.

Abstract

The socialization program is carried out to introduce the academic world to students. Higher Education is the final stage of formal education, commonly referred to as a university, institute, or academy. At this level, students are guided to specialize in a particular field of interest that will later become their foundation in the professional world. High school graduates generally aspire to secure a good career in the future, which creates intense competition among students across Indonesia to be admitted into top universities and their desired programs of study. The lack of knowledge about campus life is addressed through outreach or socialization activities, using methods such as presentations on the introduction to higher education followed by discussion sessions. This program aims to provide essential information to students, especially those in high school who plan to continue their education at the tertiary level. Through these activities, students can gain a clearer understanding of the university environment as a place where learning processes take place as well as where the mission and functions of higher education are realized. They are also introduced to campus ethics and regulations that must be observed. Furthermore, campus life includes interactions with various academic communities, including fellow students, lecturers, and administrative staff.
