Magistrorum et Scholarium: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JMS) merupakan ajang penyajian hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan akses terbuka bagi para insan akademisi, peneliti, mahasiswa, dosen maupun praktisi. Abstract

This article discusses legal issues regarding the inclusion of PNS and TNI/POLRI in political party membership. The inclusion of the State Civil Apparatus and TNI/POLRI in Political Party Membership is discussed because the State Civil Apparatus and TNI/POLRI are prohibited from becoming members and/or administrators of political parties. Based on the results of a review of the administrative verification process and factual verification of political party member candidates for the 2024 election in Salatiga City, it was found that the names of civil servants and the TNI/POLRI were included in the membership of political parties. parties through SIPOL (Political Party Information System).

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition of blood pressure that is above the normal range, which is above 120 mmHg for systolic and 80 mmHg for diastolic. Hypertension problems are commonly found in the elderly (elderly) group and are a risk factor for various health problems. Aging that occurs in the elderly produces various changes in the function and structure of arterial blood vessels, increasing the risk of hypertension. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the appropriate solution as a form of prevention of hypertension. This assessment activity was carried out through screening to people's homes in RT 03 and RT 05, RW 01 Margosari, Salatiga Village, Salatiga City. Most of the respondents had hypertension, which was as many as 8 people (57%). Meanwhile, there were about 6 people (42%) who did not experience hypertension. Lifestyle modification in accordance with balanced nutrition guidelines is a solution for the elderly to overcome hypertension problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the lifestyle of the elderly with hypertension and find appropriate solutions as a form of intervention against hypertension in the elderly.

Abstract

Being a parent can be both rewarding and challenging for adults. To be able to implement effective parenting, parents need to have various knowledge and understanding of their children's development and effective parenting strategies, especially in this modern era. On the other hand, not all parents have the knowledge and understanding of child development and effective parenting methods. Therefore, the community service team of the Faculty of Psychology collaborated with the Dharma Wanita Management of SMA N 1 Tengaran to conduct parenting psychoeducation aimed at Dharma Wanita members. This psychoeducation was conducted to increase parents' knowledge about child development and parenting strategies. After participating in this parenting psychoeducation activity, parents are expected to increase their knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent development, adolescent issues, and parenting strategies in the digital era. The results of the evaluation of the psychoeducation participants' reactions showed that this activity had material that suited the needs of the participants, was delivered clearly, had interesting content and was well organized.

Abstract

Research and devocation carried out the identification of the community aims to local food and socialization prevention as well as treatment of pest infestasion Sitophilus zea mays L. with natural pesticide, this activity carried out Bikekneno in the village, in South Mollo, Regency South-Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara province. The event was held in a survey, socialization anda research into prevention as well as to pest infestation handling Sitophilus zea mays L. with natural pesticide. Based on the research food in the form of a corn plant food followed (59,6%) nut rice, arbila (19,0%), rice (13%), peanut (13%), green bean (12%), long beans (3%), squash wax (1%), and mos low (0%)beans maize. From this data be said that the village Bikekneno people food still in the form of a corn plant as prime food. Backup storage of food to villagers Bikekneno mostly kept in the furnance of fire found houselocal furnance. The food was influential storage pest shed on the growth oftenresulting in damage to food after people to harvest in the garden. If corn therefore a socialization of prevention as well as treatment of pest infestation Sitophilus zea mays L. With pesticide know the leaves of the pandanus, colored leaves, breadfruit leaves and the regulation of temperature in the good Bikekneno storage reserve in the village

Abstract

Calon guru yang dalam hal ini mahasiswa FKIP perlu mengikuti perkembangan kurikulum merdeka. Modul ajar sebagai salah satu perangkat pembelajaran dalam kurikulum merdeka yang perlu dikembangkan dengan dukungan media pembelajaran yang berbasis digital. Dengan menggunakan teknologi digital, mahasiswa dapat menyusun media pembelajaran inovatif. Pengabdian ini meliputi tahapan penyampaian materi, pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar dan pendampingan pelaksanaaan. Hasil kegiatan ini yang berupa Pendampingan Penyusunan Modul Ajar Kurikulum Merdeka memanfaatan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Digital Bagi mahasiswa FKIP UKSW untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta melalui kegiatan yaitu pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis IT telah berhasil dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Gender diversity is not limited to essentialist gender paradigms based on binary gender identities. In fact, various gender identities embedded in indigenous beliefs and culture have emerged as a result of various social, cultural and political factors. One such example is the Bissu community among the Bugis peoples of South Sulawesi. Using an indigenous queer perspective on peacebuilding, this article challenges the dominant gender binary paradigm, promoting tolerance and inclusivity. This perspective contributes to the understanding of human rights at the global community level by emphasizing the importance of decolonization, intersectionality, and the recognition of diverse identities based on the experiences of each group. The implementation will be carried out through a model of peace building for indigenous queers through the Sere Bissu Training in collaboration with the Project Budaya Bone, Kerukunan Waria-Bissu Bone (KWRB), the Bone Regency Tourism Office, and the Bone Regency Cultural Office in 2022 in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. Sere Bissu training has successfully ensured active participation of Bissu group, developed skills and resources within the community, and disseminated the importance of cultural identity and indigenous belief that can lead to Bissu community advocacy and reconciliation. This training has become a peacebuilding model for revitalizing and supporting the Bissu community.

Abstract

Parents have an important role in children's health, namely providing balanced nutrition. The realization to improve children's health through the intake given to support children's growth. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge to parents about nutritional health through the creativity of healthy food processing for children. The techniques taken are observation interviews, community service counseling and follow-up observations. KB-TK Sang Timur Salatiga, especially the Kindergarten-A class, is the main focus to improve children's nutrition through food management creativity, namely bento. The results of this community service led to the realization of food management creativity by parents for children.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the second highest type of cancer after breast cancer that causes death in women. One of the factors causing the high incidence of cervical cancer in women is the low coverage of early detection of cervical cancer due to a lack of information in the community. This community service activity aimed to provide education about cervical cancer and VIA examinations (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid). The method used in this health education was the lecture and question-and-answer method supported by leaflets and pictures. The participants for this community service activity were 40 women of Family Welfare Programme in Jombor Village, Tuntang District, Semarang Regency. The results of this community service showed an increase theirs' knowledge about the signs, symptoms, and factors causing cervical cancer, as well as VIA examinations, demonstrated by comparing pre-test and post-test scores. The activities ran well, and participants could understand the given materials.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made to overcome problems related to digital literacy to form independence and life skills for deaf students. SLB Nurul Ikhsan requires non-formal education for deaf students as preparation for finding work or continuing to a higher level of school. This community service activity aims to improve the digital literacy skills of deaf students by introducing programming languages ​​through coding. Deaf students are trained to use coding to sharpen logic by creating simple games using the SilentTeacher and Scratch applications. The activity results showed that the deaf students successfully developed a simple game on the Scratch application. This activity was well received by the participants because it achieved the participant satisfaction target of 84%.

Abstract

Bullying often occurs in teenagers and mostly occurs in junior high school students. Therefore, school institutions try to carry out various efforts to prevent bullying. Community service aims to prevent bullying based on psychoeducation activities with an understanding of the problem of bullying at school and how to prevent bullying at school. The activity was carried out at SMP Negeri II Boyolali, for participants namely class VIII-B, totaling 26 students. Classical guidance is carried out using psychoeducation based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. Students show enthusiasm and activeness in participating in activities. The results of the learning process evaluation show that they have a better understanding of bullying after following psychoeducation. This activity is expected to be beneficial for students to improve their mental and emotional well-being, create a safe and comfortable learning environment, and build positive social interactions.
