Abstract

Coal mining activities carried out by PT RPP Contractors Indonesia Job Site PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara use the open pit method which causes the opening of a large basin so that it has the potential to become a water storage area, both from surface runoff and groundwater. Mine Dewatering is an effort to remove water that has entered the mining area, the way to handle this is by making a sump. This research aims to determine the total water discharge or volume of water entering the sump so that the sump capacity can be calculated. The study methods are hydrology, groundwater, provisions according to regulations, and draining. Based on the calculation results, the sump volume is 371,347.20 m3, the sump capacity is 464,184.00 m3, with a depth of 12 m, the sump pit 4 area is 38,682 m2.

Abstract

Flyrock adalah fragmentasi batuan yang terlempar ke segala arah akibat dari kegiatan peledakan. Ukuran flyrock yang cukup besar dan melewati batas aman yang ditentukan akan menimbulkan kerusakan bagi alat, bangunan sekitar, maupun cidera pada manusia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui jarak flyrock maksimum, parameter yang paling berpengaruh serta evaluasi dari parameter terbesar penyebab flyrock. Untuk memprediksi lemparan flyrock teoritis menggunakan teori Richard & Moore dan Ebrahim Ghasemi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan jarak flyrock maksimum berdasarkan perhitungan aktual yaitu 119,42 meter, berdasarkan perhitungan teoritis menurut Richard & Moore mekanisme face burst yaitu 241,42 meter, mekanisme cratering yaitu 105,51 meter dan teori Ebrahim Ghasemi yaitu 83,03 meter. Teori Ebrahim Ghasemi memiliki keakuratan paling tinggi di antara metode lainnya dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 23,58 meter dan MAPE sebesar 36,53%. Faktor terbesar penyebab jauhnya lemparan flyrock yaitu powder factor, sehingga dilakukan analisis untuk mendapatkan jarak lemparan flyrock maksimum 75 meter agar radius aman alat 150 meter, maka penggunaan powder factor maksimum yang digunakan yaitu 0,24 kg/m3.

Abstract

The research area is located in the Laya area and its surroundings, West Baturaja sub-district, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province. Physiographically, the research area is included in the Physiography of the Low Hills and Undulating Plains Zone. In the Laya area and its surroundings, the research area is composed of rocks from Tertiary to Quaternary. The purpose of this study is to determine the geological conditions of the research area including stratigraphy, geomorphology, geological structure, geological history and aspects of the environmental geology in the research area. The method used in this study is surface geological mapping, this method includes observation, description and direct measurement in the field in the form of rock outcrop data, geological structure, geomorphology, sources and natural disasters. The Laya area and its surroundings are divided into 3 Geomorphological Units, namely the topographic geomorphological unit of hills and denudational slopes (D2), the geomorphological unit of denudational plains with gentle - undulating morphology (D5) and the river body unit (F1). The Laya area and its surroundings are composed of 5 rock units from old to young, namely the Kikim tuff unit, the Baturaja calcarenite unit, the Gumai carbonate sandstone unit, the Kasai sandstone unit, and sand. The geological structure that developed in this research area is controlled by tectonic activity which is characterized by the presence of fractures and folds in the form of Pusar anticlines, Pusar synclines, and Laya synclines. The Laya area and its surroundings have abundant natural resources and are used as plantations, baths, and mining. However, on the other hand, the research area has the potential for natural disasters, namely landslides or mass movements. Keyword : Laya Area, Sedimentation, Geomorphological Units, Rock Units.

Abstract

Blasting is one of stage from mining activities aimed at destroying rock to facilitate the process of stripping overburden. One measure of the success of a blasting is the level of uniformity of the rock resulting from the explosion or fragmentation. The target for rock fragmentation resulting from blasting at PT. X, the target for rocks measuring more than 50 cm is less than 15%. Changes in blasting geometry were carried out by trial to a load size of 5.5 meters, a spacing of 5.5 meters, a depth of 5 meters, and a square zig zag drilling pattern resulting in an estimated size of rock fragmentation over 50 cm of 10.78% based on the Kuz-Ram method. Based on these simulations and estimates applied to blasting carried out over a period of 1 month, the results obtained were fragmentation with a material size of more than 50 cm of 9.92%. These results meet the company's targets and are in line with Kuz-Ram's estimates with an estimation accuracy of 92.02%.

Abstract

The development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) emphasizes the principle of sustainability and is expected to be able to become a “lovable city” or a city that is loved by its inhabitants and a “liveable city”, a city that is livable. The relocation of the National Capital not only brings opportunities but also challenges for the people of East Kalimantan, if the community does not take part in utilizing the momentum of IKN development, it is likely that they will only be spectators later. Along with its development, there is an increase in infrastructure development which results in reduced green open space in this area. Green open space has an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance and environmental quality. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to increase community participation and encourage community participation in efforts to preserve Green Open Space (RTH) and the environment. The target in this activity is the community around the IKN Nusantara area with a total of 40 people from villages or neighborhoods in Sepaku District. The results of this activity are the understanding of residents about the importance of structuring green spaces and tree planting actions as a form of preserving the IKN Nusantara area.

Abstract

The scarcity of fossil fuels as a result of excessive use is a serious problem in the energy sector, so renewable and environmentally friendly alternative fuels are needed, one of which is biodiesel. Biodiesel can be obtained through an esterification or transesterification process with free fatty acids or triglycerides as raw materials with short chain alcohols catalyzed by acids or bases. The aim of this research is to synthesize sulfonated activated carbon from rice husks as a solid acid heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of biodiesel from palm acid oil (PAO). The sulfonated activated carbon catalyst is prepared from rice husk charcoal which is activated with a mixture of carbonate salts, then the activated carbon is acidified through impregnation of sulfonic functional groups from sulfuric acid with the help of a microwave. The performance test of the solid acid catalyst for biodiesel synthesis was carried out at a PAO to methanol mole ratio of 1:32 and a catalyst content of 3%. The biodiesel synthesis reaction was carried out at 65°C for 2 hours. The research results showed that the sulfonate functional group (-SO₃H) was identified from the FTIR results of absorption at the wave number 1216 cm-1. These results confirm that the acidification of activated carbon from rice husks has been successfully carried out. The acid density test on the catalyst obtained an acidity value of 3.21 mmol H+/g. In the performance test of the solid acid catalyst for biodiesel synthesis, biodiesel was obtained with a yield of 88.4%, and 83.74% of free fatty acids from PAO were successfully converted into biodiesel.

Abstract

Traffic accidents are caused by disruption to traffic lights. This study aims to design and implement a prototype traffic light monitoring system based on PLC-SCADA to improve safety and traffic management through the integration of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). The system development method involves the design of hardware and software that are connected simultaneously to the traffic light infrastructure. Current sensors are used to detect traffic light damage, while the SCADA system allows remote monitoring and control of traffic lights. The advantage of this system is that it can detect and respond quickly to traffic light damage so that repairs can be made immediately. The results of the study have shown that the prototype has worked well according to the desired design. The results of this study are expected to contribute to innovation in traffic light technology and provide benefits in improving traffic management and reducing accidents due to traffic light damage

Abstract

The utilization of class C mining materials, especially crystalline limestone and reef limestone in the construction world plays a very important role in supporting a development project. In the research area, precisely in Banjarjo Village, Malang Regency, these mining materials have not been utilized optimally. Therefore, the researcher conducted this special study aimed at comparing the quality of each existing rock using the compressive strength test analysis method. Based on the results of the compressive strength test analysis carried out at the Sabo Testing Center Laboratory in Yogyakarta, a comparison of the compressive strength values ​​of crystalline limestone with a value of 549.441 kg/cm² - 1454.830 kg/cm² from four samples taken in different places and reef limestone has a compressive strength value of 449.593 kg/cm² - 640.866 kg/cm² from three samples taken in different places. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of the adsorption process on the morphology of adsorbents consisting of a mixture of claystone, zeolite, and activated coconut shell charcoal in adsorbing Fe ions from acid mine drainage. The adsorption process was carried out in a batch system using a hotplate stirrer on a laboratory scale. The experimental method was applied to evaluate the characterization of the adsorbent surface morphology before and after the adsorption process using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The research results showed significant changes in the adsorbent surface morphology after the adsorption process, indicated by differences in the structure and topography of the adsorbent.

Abstract

The development of technology in Indonesia has facilitated various human activities, including in the field of transportation through online-based services such as Gojek, a decacorn company that provides various transportation services. Gojek has changed the way Indonesian people move around in urban areas. Understanding user sentiment towards the Gojek application, especially through reviews on the Google Play Store, is key to improving and improving the services offered. This study aims to evaluate the performance of sentiment analysis on 4746 Gojek application reviews on the Google Play Store using the Naive Bayes algorithm. The methods used include data translation processes, labeling using Vader, text preprocessing, word weighting with TF-IDF, data balancing with SMOTE, and model testing using K-fold cross validation. Sentiment classification is done using Multinomial Naive Bayes, and model evaluation using a confusion matrix. The research results show that testing with K-fold cross validation k = 11 and alpha = 0.001 produces the highest accuracy of 92.25%, precision of 92.16%, recall of 89.71%, and F1-score of 90.42%.
