Abstract

This research area is one that has a very complex geological structure, so it is very interesting to study. Based on regional physiography and stratigraphy, it is included in the physiography of the Southern Mountains Zone which is composed of the Semilir Formation and Oyo Formation tuff lithology. The research method in the form of taking geological structures is carried out by observing data such as measuring fracture data, faults and other geological structure characteristic data in the Sambirejo Area, Gunung Kidul. Studio analysis in the form of processing fracture and fault data using stereonet and dips software. Based on the results of field observations, the geological structure in the research area is controlled by the presence of fractures and faults. The fractures found in the field are: shear fractures, and gash fractures. The faults found in the Sambirejo Area are minor faults. Determination of the type and kinematics of the main fault is carried out based on the appearance of minor faults in the field. The results of the fault kinematic reconstruction obtained the presence of main fault control in the form of Right Slip Fault or horizontal fault movement to the right with a relative west-east direction, Left Slip Fault or horizontal fault movement to the left with a relative northwest-southeast direction, Reverse Left Slip Fault or horizontal fault movement to the left rising with a relative northeast-southwest direction.

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in the Indonesian economy, contributing 60.34% to the national GDP and absorbing 97% of the workforce. Banyumas Regency, which has 8,561 MSMEs, ranks fifth in Central Java. However, the unemployment rate in Banyumas is still high, reaching 6.35% in 2023. The main causes of unemployment are limited job opportunities, lack of capital, and human resource skills that are not in line with market needs. This research aims to design an MSME Training and Development Center in Banyumas as a strategic solution in improving the skills of the workforce, expanding the marketing of MSME products, and reducing unemployment. A qualitative approach is used to describe the site conditions, while quantitative methods are used to calculate the number of users and space. The results of this research are expected to encourage sustainable local economic growth, optimize the potential of MSMEs, and create new jobs in Banyumas.

Abstract

Indonesia faces social inequality where population growth and education levels do not progress in tandem. The population is growing rapidly, but education is not expanding at the same pace. Efforts to minimize this disparity have not been effective enough, thus alternative solutions through an architectural approach are needed to improve the quality of education. This involves planning for a Library Center and Smart Park in Banyumas Regency. The concept of Futuristic Architecture is applied to create a modern and innovative area by utilizing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and renewable energy. The planning of the Library Center and Smart Park in Banyumas Regency is carried out using qualitative methods to gain in-depth information about the planning, and quantitative methods to estimate the number of users for the designed area. It is hoped that this approach can enhance the enthusiasm for learning and the quality of education in Banyumas Regency, and assist policymakers in devising more effective strategies to improve educational facilities.

Abstract

Research on Facies and Environment The deposition of carbonate rocks of the Oyo Formation is located on the Oyo River, Wonosari District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta with a geographical position of 7°54'45.7"S and 110°36'38.9"E. The aim of this research is to identify facies and depositional environments through research methods from outcrop profile (MS) methods and rock descriptions. The results of the rock description show that the rocks are in the form of grainstone and wackestone with a depositional environment in the form of a sublittoral zone. The research area is divided into 4 stations, each station has a variety of rocks in the form of carbonate rocks. Only a little research has been carried out in this area, this is a stage to develop more in-depth research regarding the Oyo Formation in this area.

Abstract

This article presents the development of a MATLAB code for the design and evaluation of gear ratios in vehicle transmission systems, with the objective of optimizing acceleration and fuel efficiency. The MATLAB tool incorporates analysis of engine power, torque, and resistance forces to calculate gear ratios and simulate vehicle performance. Test results indicate that the developed MATLAB code successfully predicts vehicle dynamics, including maximum speed and acceleration performance across different gear ratios. The test design shows that the vehicle can achieve a top speed of 285 km/h at 5th gear, which exceeds design requirements, while maintaining efficient acceleration throughout the range of gears. This code is also suitable for use in educational settings, providing students and lecturers with a powerful method to study and enhance vehicle transmission systems. Future work can further explore its applications in system optimization in automotive engineering.

Abstract

Coal mining activities carried out by PT RPP Contractors Indonesia Job Site PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara use the open pit method which causes the opening of a large basin so that it has the potential to become a water storage area, both from surface runoff and groundwater. Mine Dewatering is an effort to remove water that has entered the mining area, the way to handle this is by making a sump. This research aims to determine the total water discharge or volume of water entering the sump so that the sump capacity can be calculated. The study methods are hydrology, groundwater, provisions according to regulations, and draining. Based on the calculation results, the sump volume is 371,347.20 m3, the sump capacity is 464,184.00 m3, with a depth of 12 m, the sump pit 4 area is 38,682 m2.

Abstract

Flyrock adalah fragmentasi batuan yang terlempar ke segala arah akibat dari kegiatan peledakan. Ukuran flyrock yang cukup besar dan melewati batas aman yang ditentukan akan menimbulkan kerusakan bagi alat, bangunan sekitar, maupun cidera pada manusia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui jarak flyrock maksimum, parameter yang paling berpengaruh serta evaluasi dari parameter terbesar penyebab flyrock. Untuk memprediksi lemparan flyrock teoritis menggunakan teori Richard & Moore dan Ebrahim Ghasemi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan jarak flyrock maksimum berdasarkan perhitungan aktual yaitu 119,42 meter, berdasarkan perhitungan teoritis menurut Richard & Moore mekanisme face burst yaitu 241,42 meter, mekanisme cratering yaitu 105,51 meter dan teori Ebrahim Ghasemi yaitu 83,03 meter. Teori Ebrahim Ghasemi memiliki keakuratan paling tinggi di antara metode lainnya dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 23,58 meter dan MAPE sebesar 36,53%. Faktor terbesar penyebab jauhnya lemparan flyrock yaitu powder factor, sehingga dilakukan analisis untuk mendapatkan jarak lemparan flyrock maksimum 75 meter agar radius aman alat 150 meter, maka penggunaan powder factor maksimum yang digunakan yaitu 0,24 kg/m3.

Abstract

The research area is located in the Laya area and its surroundings, West Baturaja sub-district, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province. Physiographically, the research area is included in the Physiography of the Low Hills and Undulating Plains Zone. In the Laya area and its surroundings, the research area is composed of rocks from Tertiary to Quaternary. The purpose of this study is to determine the geological conditions of the research area including stratigraphy, geomorphology, geological structure, geological history and aspects of the environmental geology in the research area. The method used in this study is surface geological mapping, this method includes observation, description and direct measurement in the field in the form of rock outcrop data, geological structure, geomorphology, sources and natural disasters. The Laya area and its surroundings are divided into 3 Geomorphological Units, namely the topographic geomorphological unit of hills and denudational slopes (D2), the geomorphological unit of denudational plains with gentle - undulating morphology (D5) and the river body unit (F1). The Laya area and its surroundings are composed of 5 rock units from old to young, namely the Kikim tuff unit, the Baturaja calcarenite unit, the Gumai carbonate sandstone unit, the Kasai sandstone unit, and sand. The geological structure that developed in this research area is controlled by tectonic activity which is characterized by the presence of fractures and folds in the form of Pusar anticlines, Pusar synclines, and Laya synclines. The Laya area and its surroundings have abundant natural resources and are used as plantations, baths, and mining. However, on the other hand, the research area has the potential for natural disasters, namely landslides or mass movements. Keyword : Laya Area, Sedimentation, Geomorphological Units, Rock Units.

Abstract

Blasting is one of stage from mining activities aimed at destroying rock to facilitate the process of stripping overburden. One measure of the success of a blasting is the level of uniformity of the rock resulting from the explosion or fragmentation. The target for rock fragmentation resulting from blasting at PT. X, the target for rocks measuring more than 50 cm is less than 15%. Changes in blasting geometry were carried out by trial to a load size of 5.5 meters, a spacing of 5.5 meters, a depth of 5 meters, and a square zig zag drilling pattern resulting in an estimated size of rock fragmentation over 50 cm of 10.78% based on the Kuz-Ram method. Based on these simulations and estimates applied to blasting carried out over a period of 1 month, the results obtained were fragmentation with a material size of more than 50 cm of 9.92%. These results meet the company's targets and are in line with Kuz-Ram's estimates with an estimation accuracy of 92.02%.

Abstract

The development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) emphasizes the principle of sustainability and is expected to be able to become a “lovable city” or a city that is loved by its inhabitants and a “liveable city”, a city that is livable. The relocation of the National Capital not only brings opportunities but also challenges for the people of East Kalimantan, if the community does not take part in utilizing the momentum of IKN development, it is likely that they will only be spectators later. Along with its development, there is an increase in infrastructure development which results in reduced green open space in this area. Green open space has an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance and environmental quality. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to increase community participation and encourage community participation in efforts to preserve Green Open Space (RTH) and the environment. The target in this activity is the community around the IKN Nusantara area with a total of 40 people from villages or neighborhoods in Sepaku District. The results of this activity are the understanding of residents about the importance of structuring green spaces and tree planting actions as a form of preserving the IKN Nusantara area.
