Abstract

The diversity of Christian theology in Christian education is an essential and inseparable element in creating individuals who possess competence in verified knowledge through attitudes, actions, and behaviors; integrity; loyalty; and in cognitive, affectie, and motoric aspects that can be accelerated with the principles of truth enshrined in the Bible. Grounded in the truth written in the Bible, which places God as the sole center of all diversities, everything related to the development of knowledge and education must be realigned with His desired principles and values as creative individuals in all aspects throughout the history of human life. Theological diversity in Christian education determines the quality and quantity of Christian education in all areas, therefore it needs to be harmoniously integrated with Christian principles and values that can have a significant impact on national and societal life. The diversity of Christian theology in Christian education is crucial as a foundational basis in determining the capacity, quantity, and quality of integrated learners in all respects. Abstract

Corruption is one form of serious legal violation of Human Rights (HAM) that damages society and the economy of a country. This research will discuss how corruption violates decalogue law and the fundamental rights of individuals, hinders sustainable development, and undermines democratic principles. Corruption creates social inequality, impedes access to basic services, and violates the principles of social justice. In addition, corrupt practices can also threaten individual rights such as the right to education, health, and decent work. The impact of corruption on a country's economy leads to inefficient allocation of resources, reduces foreign investment, and hinders economic growth. This results in unemployment, poverty, and economic inequality which in turn threatens individual human rights. In addition, corruption also negatively affects the democratic system. When corruption is rampant, democratic institutions can be weak and manipulative, threatening public participation and freedom of expression. It undermines basic democratic principles and the political rights of individuals. The purpose of this study will outline the importance of fighting corruption as an effort to implement decalogue law and protect and promote human rights. Through preventive measures, strong law enforcement, and increased public awareness, we can reduce the negative impact of corruption on the basic rights of individuals and strengthen the foundations of justice, development, and democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The phrase "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" is one of the most poignant and widely recognized lines in the Bible, and it carries profound significance within both Christian and Jewish traditions. This statement is found in Psalm 22, a psalm attributed to King David. Understanding its context within Psalm 22 sheds light on its meaning and significance. From a Christian perspective, the words of Psalm 22:1 take on added significance in light of their connection to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. According to the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, Jesus quotes Psalm 22:1 while hanging on the cross, thereby identifying himself with the suffering described in the Psalm. This connection between Psalm 22 and the crucifixion underscores the idea that Jesus, in his humanity, experienced the depths of human suffering and anguish. For Christians, Jesus' cry of abandonment on the cross is not merely an expression of personal agony but also a reflection of his role as the sacrificial Lamb of God who takes upon himself the sins of humanity. In this sense, Jesus' cry echoes the suffering of all humanity and serves as a reminder of God's redemptive love and ultimate victory over sin and death. Psalm 22 captures the profound tension between despair and trust, lament and hope. It serves as a powerful expression of human suffering and a reminder of God's faithfulness, culminating in its connection to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the hope of redemption for all humanity.

Abstract

Accurate and relevant biblical interpretation requires an approach that integrates various dimensions, both historical, theological, and contemporary. This article explores the application of contextual hermeneutics as a holistic method of biblical interpretation by combining four main contexts: faith, history, literature, and contemporary situation. The aim of this research is to demonstrate how contextual hermeneutics can yield a deeper and more applicable understanding that is relevant for contemporary readers. The research method employed is qualitative analysis using a contextual hermeneutic approach, involving literature studies and evaluation of biblical texts in relation to their historical, literary, and social contexts. The findings show that by understanding the contexts of faith, history, literature, and contemporary situations, interpreters can produce more comprehensive and balanced interpretations that bridge denominational differences and offer relevant guidance for modern Christians. The main contribution of this research is emphasizing the importance of a multidimensional approach to biblical interpretation to create more inclusive, adaptive, and applicable interpretations in addressing contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This article is an analysis of the story of Samson and Delilah which has many different views and interpretations, especially the interpretations of feminist scholars, so that this diversity creates ambiguity in the text itself. This story is considered a parable that has theological meaning and it is further said that the narrative is primarily about power relations between various individuals, national power, and God. This research uses a qualitative literature study method which examines the text of Judges 16:4-22 by looking at various interpretations from feminist experts and also comparing them with other interpretations. The purpose of this research is to see whether the love story of Samson and Delilah is only a parable or whether it is related to the power of a woman over a man. This aim also leads to comparisons with parables in the New Testament. The love story between Samson and Delilah is a theological story about the power of women who use love to conquer the power of men.

Abstract

There are differences in the concept of Gospel preaching. On one hand, some believe that when someone believes, they can be baptized immediately, while others hold the opinion that one cannot be baptized immediately upon belief. They need to be guided in teaching. This research employs the method of exegesis, which is suitable for uncovering the truths intended by the text. Through this research, it is hoped that a guide can be found which could serve as an alternative in Gospel preaching. Ultimately, it can be understood that the Gospel is the path of salvation that must be proclaimed to all creatures throughout the world.   Adanya perbedaan tentang konsep pemberitaan Injil.
A STUDY OF NATURAL THEOLOGY FROM A LUTHERAN PERSPECTIVE Pandiangan, Tumpal

Abstract

As the father of the Protestant Church reformer, Luther has made limitations on natural theology. He has criticized natural theology, even at first he rejected natural theology. However, today we see that natural theology has been constructed by several Protestant Christian theologians, among others: Gifford, Swinburne and Alister MacGrath. The problem is whether natural theology is in accordance with the doctrine or teachings of the Protestant Christian Church? The author's purpose is to find out whether the teachings of natural theology are in accordance with the doctrine of the Protestant Church and how they are applied in the life of the congregation? The research method was carried out with a literature study with the following stages: (i) First, observing and analyzing Luther's criticism of natural theology. (ii) Second, observing the limits of natural theology constructed by Gifford, Swinburne and Alister. (iii) Third, the author analyzes each of their definitions of natural theology. This analysis and evaluation is based on Luther's critique of natural theology. For Gifford's natural theology, knowledge of God is limited to a priori knowledge only, because knowledge is obtained from nature and the human mind not from God's revelation, whereas for Swimburne and McGrath, knowledge from nature stems from faith in Christ Jesus so that a priori knowledge of God can be known. For Swimburne, rational knowledge of nature can support faith in God, while McGrath does not require rationality in believing in God. In this case it is different from Luther, because according to him, the emergence of absolute faith is only by special revelation from God and nothing else, nor as a companion, so as not to become an idol.
