Abstract

Along with the development of the era, the terminology of ecotourism has continued to develop without eliminating the essential in the definition of ecotourism itself, namely conservation or conservation for nature, culture and society itself. The concept of community-based ecotourism became a concept that developed in the 2000s where the terminology of this concept is more appropriate to involve the community in planning, implementing ecotourism management and all the benefits that are obtained. This study examines the extent to which the concept of community-based ecotourism supports tourism development and what are the obstacles in the concept of community-based ecotourism which can then become recommendations for further research. The method used is a qualitative method in the form of a literature study of the 20 articles obtained. The search tool used is to analyze or dismantle, then the data is analyzed using the literature review method with traditional review techniques. The concept of community-based ecotourism in the context of tourism development can be interpreted as a form of development in resource use by involving the community as the key holder. The concept of community-based ecotourism is also a new concept and opens up opportunities to enrich the study. The indicators obtained from the analysis show that the indicators of resources, community and tourists are factors in tourism development using the concept of community-based ecotourism.

Abstract

The government is required to be alert in following up on the spread of Covid-19, on the other hand the government is asked to stabilize the community's economy, so that the government reopens access and the tourism industry. Public opinion can be formed easily through sentiments expressed online (in the network), so that to anticipate this can be done through exploration of social media content. This research was conducted by exploring public sentiment, especially citizens regarding the policy of reopening tourism in Indonesia in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, to explore public opinion in Indonesia. A qualitative approach is used in this study with netnographic analysis to analyze warganet posts or writings on Twitter social media. Twitter social media data collection is taken using the help of the Google Chrome platform, namely NCapture, and the data is managed using NVivo 14 software as a qualitative research management tool. NCapture found 513 posts filtering the word “new travel”. The results of the study on 297 posts showed a neutral or impartial attitude from Twitter users. Based on the results of this analysis, there are findings that show sources of Twitter content with negative or positive sentiments, where government accounts are known not to be the source of posts with negative sentiments. The findings of netizen sentiment on Twitter can be a direction in finding out people's attitudes and responses to policies in reopening tourism in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the analysis show that most netizens provide neutral sentiment regarding the reopening of tourism or are in an impartial position. This study also pointed out some of the words and phrases that often appear such as "travel", "open" and "health protocol". Abstract

The article aimed at understanding the dynamics within the encounter between Islam and tatali paranti karuhun, the local religion as the central source of spirituality and cultural practices of Kasepuhan Ciptagelar living on the Halimun Salak National park, West Java. The tradition is rooted in Pre-Islamic Sundanese culture that is often placed as the part of Sunda Wiwitan belief, which is, as the other local beliefs in Indonesia, not being recognized as the official religion. On the other hand, although have been inhabiting the area forhundred years the establishment of national park have placed the people as the illegal settler within the state’s forest. Thus, there are two pressures for the people; the freedom to practice their local tradition rooted in a local belief which is different from the majority group and the limited legal access toward their customary land. Fortunately, Kasepuhan Ciptagelar is blessed by various tourism resources, both in the term of eco-tourism and cultural tourism rooted in the authenticity of Sundanese culture. In this case, the study offers new insight that the arrival of tourism has given the opportunity for the people to strengthen their cultural identity and the legal access toward the customary land. The ethnographic research through participant observation to gather the primary data reveals that tourism has effectively mediated the encounter between Islam, local belief and the struggle to re-claim the customary land.

Abstract

Bali is one of the tourist destinations for tourists to Indonesia. Bali has tourism assets in the form of unspoiled natural beauty, unique cultural heritage, and the friendliness of the local community. The existence of tourist objects and attractions in Bali is expected to bring benefits, especially for the surrounding community in generating new jobs. With the new employment opportunities, it is hoped that the welfare of the community will increase. However, it turns out that not only are the positive impacts obtained by the existence of tourist objects and attractions, but also many negative impacts. The emergence of negative impacts from tourism activities, encourages a change in the tourism paradigm, namely mass tourism to new tourism that tends to be environmentally friendly, one of which is ecotourism. Ecotourism is expected to be able to become tourism that is responsible for the preservation of nature and contribute to improving the welfare of local communities. With the development of the ecotourism concept in Bali, it is hoped that it will be able to preserve the nature and local culture of Bali as well as increase the welfare of the local community through community empowerment.

Abstract

Mining is one of the activities that has a bad impact on the environment and has a positive impact on the surrounding community. With mining, the community can make a living by working as part of the company, and on the other hand mining also has a negative impact which can remove the balance of the ecosystem through massive land dredging. The theory used is the response theory, which is the response, reaction and answer. The responses taken were from the surrounding community in the Sale area, Rembang Regency, and the response from the company. There are several company responses that are inversely proportional to the response of the community regarding the existence of reclamation. The hope of the community is that with mining, in the end when it is not used, land returns or reclamation must be carried out. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with respond using 60 people Sale regency, in which the entire population is used as research respondents. Techniques and data collection used were observation and interviews. The results showed that the whole community was willing if the ex-mining land that was not used would be handed over to the community and micro-scale reclamation was carried out as ecotourism. With a note, at least the company must provide a small amount of operational costs and compensation for community land.
