Abstract

Indonesian tourism has experienced rapid development in recent decades. This is shown by the increase in the Tourism Competitiveness Index in 2019. Indonesia, which was originally ranked 42, now rises to position 40 of 140 countries in the world. At the Southeast Asian level, Indonesia even ranked fourth. The success of this achievement is certainly due to the efforts of exploration, development and diversification of all potential attractions, ease of accessibility, number of facilities and strengthening of tourism institutions in each region. In line with the development of tourism, yoga activities in Bali have started to get the attention of the community, but these tourism activities still face several challenges, especially in developing potential attractions and human resources, especially in terms of management. In fact, yoga tourism has the potential for positive benefits if it is developed as an alternative to spiritual tourism as a result of the saturation of the concept of tourism development with a pattern of mass tourism.

Abstract

Covid-19 has profoundly affected the economy today. Not only has income decreased, but the number of unemployed has also continued to increase. The tourism sector, which drives the economy in Bali, was also affected. Many tourism workers have to be laid off and also many have lost their livelihoods as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this article is to find out the state of Tanah Lot since the implementation of the new life adaptation by the government. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method to understand the new normal phenomenon of tourism. The data from this research is based on literature study in the form of literature in the form of books, journals, articles, interviews with tourism actors and also observations in the field. The new normal that has been in effect today is like a breath of fresh air for the community and also for the tourism business. This is because with the enactment of the new normal while adhering to the applicable Health protocols, people can start working again and tourism can start to reopen. The Tanah Lot tourist destination, which has been closed as part of preventing the spread of Covid-19, has now reopened but still adheres to the Health protocol. The operational manager of the Tanah Lot tourist destination, Mr. Toya Adnyana, said that the Tanah Lot tourist attraction was ready with standard operating procedures related to new normal tourism. His party has prepared according to the applicable Health protocol standards to enter this new normal phase, such as; masks, face shields for ticketing and checking tickets, portable sinks in several areas, appeals regarding health protocols and hand sanitizers. With the opening of the Tanah Lot tourist destination to receive tourist visits, this has a positive impact on tourism actors around it. Even though the impact has not been felt yet because the number is still small, it is enough to help those who have lost their income for the past 4 months due to the closure of the Tanah Lot tourist destination.

Abstract

The outbreak of the corona virus in Indonesia, of course, has had a very significant impact in all sectors of life, one of which is in the field of cultural tourism. The closed in and out access between islands, between continents, and between countries has resulted in "vacancies" in tourist destinations, especially in Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the way the government communicates to the community in the aspect of cultural tourism in the new normal era using descriptive qualitative research methods. The conclusion of this paper shows that in the midst of the shadow of the positive number of Covid-19 in the new normal era which is still very high, the public's desire to unwind and travel to see the beauty of Indonesian nature and culture can at least be realized by implementing strict rules and Finally, the stretching of the tourism sector community can at least be seen and manifest optimism in other productive sectors. Even so, the challenges seem to come from the society itself, which sometimes does not obey the rules. Because, tourism in the new normal era does require extra normal communication from the government.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things in life. One that is quite prominent is the behavior changing. The term "new normal" then became very popular. Many equations of this term appear in Bahasa Indonesia, such as “kenormalan baru”, “normal baru”, “tatanan kehidupan baru”, and many more which all refer to "a new normal condition". These new normal conditions include (1) wearing a mask when leaving the house or interacting with other people whose health status is unknown; (2) washing hands using soap with running water or using an alcohol-based antiseptic liquid / hand-sanitizer; (3) keep a one-meter minimum distance from other people and avoid a group of people, crowd, and crammed into a public space; and (4) increase endurance by implementing clean and healthy living behaviors. Keeping a one-meter minimum distance from other people and avoiding a group of people, crowd, and crammed into a public space is a discussion of carrying capacity of tourism discussed in this article. Thus, the purpose of this writing is to provide a perspective about an implementing concept of carrying capacity in tourism destinations after the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in collecting data in this study is a literature review on documents that discuss the "new normal" and ecotourism associated with current conditions. Based on the results of those kinds of literature, the author concludes that "new normal" is a condition that can be used as a momentum for the rise of ecotourism, especially related to the implementation of the concept of carrying capacity in tourism destinations.
