Abstract

The event industry in Indonesia is growing rapid growth, especially in organizing cultural and religious-based events that carry strong spiritual and social values. One notable example is the Waisak Celebration 2596 B.E./2025 organized by the Medan City Government in collaboration with PT Angsamas Ratu Tama. This event not only symbolizes interfaith harmony but also contributes to local tourism and economic development. The success of such events depends not only on the number of visitors but also on the effectiveness of promotional strategies and the quality of services provided. This study aims to analyze the influence of promotion and service quality on visitor satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously, as well as to identify which variable has the most dominant effect. The research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents who attended the Waisak 2596 B.E./2025 event at Lapangan Benteng, Medan. The results show that both promotion and service quality have a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction. Therefore, promotional strategies and service quality play a critical role in enhancing visitor satisfaction during large-scale religious events. These findings are expected to serve as practical references for event organizers in designing more effective promotional and service strategies. Furthermore, this study contributes academically to the development of event management research, particularly within the context of cultural and religious event.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of accessibility and cultural events organized by the Lake Toba Authority (BPODT) on tourists' decision to visit Toba Caldera Resort. The research is based on the growing importance of Toba Caldera Resort as a part of Indonesia's National Tourism Strategic Areas (KSPN), developed to become a leading destination in North Sumatra, particularly in the cultural tourism sector and the MICE industry (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition). A quantitative approach was used with a survey method. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling with an accidental sampling approach involving 100 respondents who met the criteria: having visited Toba Caldera Resort and attended at least one cultural event in the area. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire, which was tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis involved classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroskedasticity), multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test (ANOVA), and coefficient of adjusted determination (R²) using SPSS. The results show that accessibility (X1) has a significant effect on the decision to visit, with a significance value of 0.000, a t-value of 15.480, and a beta coefficient of 0.774. Cultural events (X2) also have a significant effect, with a significance value of 0.000, a t-value of 5.931, and a b eta of 0.296. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence the decision to visit, with an F-value of 157.573 and significance of 0.000. The adjusted R Square value of 0.760 indicates that 76.0% of the variance in visit decisions can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 24.0% is influenced by other factors not included in the model. This study concludes that improving accessibility and organizing attractive and consistent cultural events are effective strategies to enhance destination appeal and increase tourist visits to Toba Caldera Resort.

Abstract

The development of tourist destinations in Indonesia, particularly the Lake Toba area, is a major focus in supporting the tourism sector and the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) industry. Toba Caldera Resort, managed by the Lake Toba Authority, plays a crucial role as a leading destination in attracting tourists. This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the factors that influence visitor satisfaction as an indicator of successful destination management. The purpose of this research is to determine the extent to which tourist facilities and attractions influence visitor satisfaction at Toba Caldera Resort. This research uses a quantitative method with an associative approach. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that both facilities and tourist attractions have a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The conclusion of this research is that facilities and tourist attractions are the main factors determining the level of visitor satisfaction at Toba Caldera Resort. The better the quality of the facilities and the more attractive the attractions offered, the higher the level of perceived satisfaction. Therefore, the management and development of these two aspects must be prioritized in strategies to increase the attractiveness and sustainability of tourist destinations.

Abstract

This study, entitled “The Influence of Facilities and Accessibility on Visitor Satisfaction at the Yamaha Youth Festival Medan 2024”, is motivated by the importance of facilities, such as cleanliness, completeness, functionality, and physical condition, as well as accessibility, which includes distance, travel costs, and travel time, in shaping visitor satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of facilities and accessibility, both partially and simultaneously, on visitor satisfaction, based on consumer satisfaction theory which emphasizes the conformity between expectations and actual experiences. This study employed a quantitative method with a survey approach by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents aged 17–30 years who attended the event, selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 through validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test. The results indicate that facilities have a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction, accessibility also has a positive and significant effect, and both simultaneously have a significant effect on visitor satisfaction, as shown by Fcount > Ftable and sig < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of approximately 56% shows that visitor satisfaction can be explained by facilities and accessibility, while the remaining 44% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The discussion emphasizes that the better the facilities and the easier the accessibility provided by the organizers, the higher the level of visitor satisfaction, suggesting that event organizers should improve these aspects to create a positive experience and visitor loyalty for future events.

Berlian Event Organizer is one company that has successfully utilized social media and provided quality services to attract consumer interest. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media and service quality on the decision to use services of Berlian Event Organizer. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 72 respondents who have used Berlian Event Organizer services. The results showed that the variables of social media (X1) and service quality (X2) have a positive and significant effect on the decision to use Berlian Event Organizer services, with the average respondent giving an affirmative answer. Based on the results of the T test, the social media variable (X1) has a significance value of 0.034 (<0.05) which means it has a significant effect on the decision to use services. Likewise, the service quality variable (X2) has a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) which indicates a significant effect. The results of the simultaneous F test produced a significance value of 0.000, which means that social media and service quality together have a significant effect on the decision to use services. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.845 indicates that 84.5% of the variation in service usage decisions can be explained by these two variables, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Islamic Marketing Mix 9P strategy in enhancing membership of murabaha financing products at BMT Maslahah Gending Branch, Probolinggo. Employing a qualitative case study approach through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, the research demonstrates that the applied marketing strategies align with Sharia principles and contribute significantly to the growth of membership. The effectiveness of the strategy is determined by service quality, transparency in profit margins, community-based educational initiatives, the institution’s trustworthy image, and internal staff synergy. Nevertheless, several challenges persist, including limited public literacy regarding Islamic finance, suboptimal utilization of social media platforms, and competition from conventional financial institutions. The findings suggest that sustained innovation in marketing approaches and intensified community education are essential for strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of Islamic financial institutions.
