Abstract

The music concert industry in Indonesia continues to experience significant growth, particularly in the city of Medan, which has begun actively developing various local and national-scale entertainment events. One concert that attracted public attention was "Purnama Bersantai 2024", an Indonesian-themed music concert held in the open area of the Lotte Grosir Medan Parking Lot. Although successful in attracting visitors, this concert also drew criticism, particularly related to the inappropriate number of facilities such as toilets and the quality of service staff who were considered unfriendly and unresponsive to complaints. This study aims to analyze the effect of facilities and service quality on visitor satisfaction at the "Purnama Bersantai 2024" concert. This study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 97 respondents who attended the event in person. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supplemented by validity and reliability tests, classical assumptions, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that facilities and service quality had a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The facility variable has a more dominant influence on visitor satisfaction with a regression coefficient value of 0.069 (sig. 0.001), while service quality has a coefficient value of 0.043 (sig. 0.001). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.539 indicates that 53.9% of the visitor satisfaction variable can be explained by facilities and service quality, while the remaining 46.1% is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

The MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid development, along with the increasing needs of companies in organizing internal activities such as employee gatherings. This research is motivated by the importance of participant satisfaction as an indicator of event success, especially at the PNM Employee Gathering Regional Siantar 1 Year 2025 event organized by Matakail Communication. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the quality of service and facilities on participant satisfaction in the event. This research uses quantitative methods with an associative approach. The sample amounted to 100 respondents from a total population of 790 gathering participants, who were taken using accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t test, F test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that partially, the quality of service and facilities had a significant effect partially on participant satisfaction. Simultaneously, both variables have a positive and significant effect on participant satisfaction, with an Fcount value of 172.101> Ftable 3.09 and significance <0.001. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 77.6% indicates that 77.6% of variations in participant satisfaction are explained by service quality and facilities, the remaining 24.4% are influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of sustainable tourism development planning in Dumai City by reviewing the suitability of regional policies to the principles of economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by analyzing various latest scientific sources and empirical data from the 2024 Government Agency Performance Report (LKjIP) of the Dumai City Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office. The results of the study show that tourism development in Dumai City has made a positive contribution to increasing the number of tourists and regional income, with the achievement of 144.32% of the realization of visits and an increase in PAD of up to 185% of the target. However, the implementation of sustainability principles is still not optimal, especially in the aspects of community participation and environmental management. This weakness shows the need for collaborative governance as well as strengthening community-based ecotourism and creative economy programs. This study recommends that tourism planning in Dumai City be directed at the balanced integration of economic, social, and ecological dimensions through the implementation of sustainability indicators that are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With this approach, tourism development in Dumai City is expected to take place in an adaptive, inclusive, and competitive manner in the long term.

Abstract

Unemployment remains one of the major challenges faced by Indonesia. The government has implemented various policies such as the Pre-Employment Card (Kartu Prakerja), vocational education, labor-intensive programs, and regulatory reforms through the Job Creation Law. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Indonesian government’s efforts to reduce unemployment based on previous research using a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review. The findings indicate that government policies have had a positive impact on improving skills and maintaining social stability; however, their effectiveness remains limited due to weak inter-agency coordination, skill mismatches between workers and industry needs, and a lack of sustainable employment opportunities. Therefore, stronger synergy among programs and better alignment between training and industrial demands are needed to ensure that government policies have a tangible impact on reducing national unemployment rates.

Abstract

Sustainability issues remain a major focus in global business practices. This has encouraged many companies to implement environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure. The government also supports this by setting a net-zero emission target. This minimizes environmental risks and increases investor confidence. This study aims to analyze the effect of ESG Disclosure and net-zero emissions on the cost of capital. The study was conducted on companies in the energy and raw materials sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. A quantitative approach was used with a casual design. The sample size for this study was 10 companies selected through purposive sampling. The data used were secondary data, processed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The analysis results indicate that ESG Disclosure has a significant negative effect on the cost of capital. Net-zero emissions have been shown to significantly reduce the cost of capital. These findings reinforce the view that ESG Disclosure and a net-zero emission strategy can provide positive signals to investors, reduce financing risks, and increase corporate legitimacy among stakeholders. The practical implications of this study's findings can serve as a foundation for company management to improve the quality of ESG reporting and achieve Net Zero Emission targets, for investors to consider sustainability aspects in risk assessments, and for regulators to formulate more detailed sustainability reporting policies.

Abstract

Public services are one of the main tasks of the government in meeting the needs and interests of the community. However, the quality of public services in a number of government agencies is still considered not optimal. One of the main causes is planning that has not been carried out effectively and thoroughly. This paper aims to describe the important role of effective planning in improving the quality of public services, as well as examine how structured planning can be the basis for the creation of good governance. This research uses a literature review approach, which is a research method that is carried out by collecting various written sources such as scientific journals, books, and other documents that discuss the implementation of Public Service Quality through Effective Planning. This method aims to describe and analyze the quality of public services through the concept of planning, service quality indicators, and practical experience in public services.
