Abstract

The MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) industry encourages the growth of event organizer (EO) business as a professional service provider in the design, management, and implementation of events. The city of Pekanbaru as the capital of Riau Province shows a positive development of this industry, marked by the increasing number of EOs that offer a variety of services according to market needs. The use of social media as a marketing channel also affects consumer perception and trust, where Instagram visual content and online reviews on google reviews are important considerations in decision-making. This study aims to determine the influence of content marketing and brand image on the purchase decision of Pekanbaru Event Organizer services. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires to 43 respondents who are Pekanbaru Event Organizer clients from 2022 to 2024. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that partially, content marketing had a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions with a significance value of 0.037 Meanwhile, brand image did not have a significant effect partially, with a significance value of 0.093. However, simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a Fcal value of 7.304 and a significance of 0.002. A determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.231 indicates that content marketing and brand image together are able to explain 23.1% of the variation in service purchase decisions in the company, while the remaining 76.9% is explained by other variables not studied in this study.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Waste Bank Management Information System (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bank Sampah/SIMBA) and its role in enhancing community participation in environmental management in Dumai City, Indonesia. Waste management has become a pressing issue in urban areas, and Dumai faces significant challenges due to limited infrastructure and low public awareness. SIMBA, a web-based platform developed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, integrates national waste bank data to support efficient, transparent, and measurable waste management. Using a literature review approach, this study compiles and synthesizes findings from relevant national and international research related to management information systems and public participation in environmental governance. The findings indicate that SIMBA has improved data transparency, administrative efficiency, and citizen engagement by enabling residents to monitor waste deposits and economic returns in real time. The system motivates behavioral change by linking ecological awareness with tangible financial benefits. However, implementation barriers persist, including limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy among waste bank managers and users, and insufficient local policy and funding support. To overcome these challenges, the study recommends capacity building through digital literacy training, stronger collaboration between government, community, and private sectors, and policy optimization using data-driven decision-making. Overall, SIMBA demonstrates strong potential as a strategic instrument for promoting participatory, adaptive, and sustainable environmental management at the local level.

Abstract

Purchasing decision is the process by which a consumer decides to buy a product or service. Purchasing decisions can be influenced by several factors including advertising, personal sales, and public relations, which are some of the parts of the promotional mix. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the promotional mix on the purchase decision of participants of the Medan State Polytechnic (Polmed) Grand Reunion Stand Event. Data collection through a survey by distributing questionnaires to MSMEs who are participants in the bazaar stand at the Medan State Polytechnic Grand Reunion event. The number of population and samples in this study is as many as 45 bazaar stand participants. Data collection is through questionnaires and literature studies, while to test the quality of data, validity and reliability tests are carried out. To determine the influence of advertising, personal sales, and public relations on purchase decisions, multiple linear regression tests were performed. The results of the research obtained by advertising have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions. This shows that the ads made by the committee affect the interest of potential consumers, which ultimately drives purchase decisions. Meanwhile, personal sales have a positive but not significant effect on purchasing decisions. This influence is not strong enough to significantly influence consumer decisions in purchasing decisions. Public relations has a positive and significant influence on the decision to purchase the Medan State Polytechnic Bazaar (Polmed) Stand Event. Advertising, personal sales, and public relations are explained to affect purchasing decisions by 62.3%, while the rest are influenced by other variables.

Abstract

The declining interest of tourists in visiting the Sipinsur Geosite tourist destination in Humbang Hasundutan Regency has emerged as an issue requiring thorough investigation. Despite the area's considerable natural appeal—such as panoramic views of Lake Toba and the surrounding pine forest—several issues related to the availability and quality of supporting facilities remain, including unsanitary public restrooms, a lack of waste disposal infrastructure, and limited shelter amenities. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourist attractions and facilities on tourists’ visiting decisions to the Sipinsur destination. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey method with questionnaires distributed to 96 respondents who had visited or were currently visiting Sipinsur. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess both partial and simultaneous effects between variables. The findings reveal that both tourist attraction and facility variables have a positive and significant effect on visiting decisions, both individually and collectively. Tourist attraction was found to have a more dominant influence, though both factors significantly contribute to shaping tourists’ decisions. These findings offer strategic implications for destination managers and stakeholders in the effort to develop a tourism site that emphasizes the sustainable enhancement of visitor experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the budgeting strategy of efficiency-based training at Patut Patuh Patju Hospital, West Lombok Regency. The approach used is qualitative descriptive through interviews, observations, and documentation of parties involved in planning, managing, and evaluating training budgets. Data analysis was carried out interactively using the Miles and Huberman model which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The main focus of this research is to understand how the process of planning and preparing training budgets is carried out, the obstacles faced, the efforts taken to overcome them, and the hospital development strategy based on the current financial conditions. The results of the study show that the process of planning and preparing training budgets at Patut Patuh Patju Hospital is carried out systematically through the annual Training Need Assessment (TNA) mechanism, although it is not completely based on the evaluation of training results. The main obstacle faced is budget limitations due to financial rationalization and suboptimal coordination between departments. Efforts to overcome obstacles are carried out through budget efficiency, postponement of non-priority training, utilization of internal resources, and collaboration with external institutions through webinar-based online training. The hospital development strategy is directed at optimizing human resources and strengthening the training system based on actual needs, accompanied by continuous performance evaluation and the use of technology to support the effectiveness of training.

Abstract

Pesta Ni Halak Hita is a cultural music concert organized by Hyga Production on May 31, 2025, at TD Pardede Hall, Medan, aiming to reintroduce Batak Toba culture to the public, particularly younger generations. Amid the growing trend of modern music concerts in Medan, this event offered a distinct concept by showcasing traditional Batak values and featuring Batak artists performing songs in the local language. This study aims to examine the influence of promotion and pricing on consumers' ticket purchasing decisions for the concert. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected from 97 respondents and analyzed through multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests. The results show that both promotion and price have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously. The t-test results indicate significance values < 0.001 with t-counts greater than the t-table, while the F-test shows an F-count of 15.024 > F-table of 3.09. The Adjusted R-Square value of 0.566 indicates that 56.6% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by promotion and price variables, while the remaining 43.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings highlight the importance of effective promotional strategies and appropriate pricing in increasing consumer buying interest, especially for cultural-based concert events.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the current daily stock recording process, identify the obstacles faced, and formulate a development strategy to increase the effectiveness of the daily stock recording system in the logistics section of the Patut Patuh Patju Hospital. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with logistics managers, warehouse heads, and logistics staff, as well as direct observation and documentation related to the flow of daily stock recording and management. The results of the study show that the daily stock recording process is still carried out manually using stock cards, Excel programs, and supporting documents. This process runs systematically starting from the procurement of goods, receipt, to distribution to service units, but still faces obstacles in the form of mismatches between records and physical conditions in the warehouse, delays in reporting, and the risk of errors due to negligence in recording and managing amprahan documents. This condition creates a high administrative burden and reduces efficiency, especially when reporting at the end of the month. The proposed development strategy includes the implementation of a digital-based recording system integrated with hospital information systems, increasing the capacity of human resources through technical training, and rearranging coordination procedures between units to make logistics flows more efficient, transparent, and accurate. The implementation of this strategy is expected to strengthen inventory control and support the improvement of hospital service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of regenerative innovation and ethical design based on the eco-humanism philosophy on company performance and market position of Rubberwood Baby Safety Harness products. Using sales simulation data for the 2020–2024 period, the study found that the use of regenerative rubberwood materials and the implementation of ethical design contributed significantly to improving the commercial performance of PT X. Product sales increased from 1,250 units (2020) to 2,840 units (2024) with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.7%. The initial shipment to Japan in 2021 proved to be a catalyst for increasing international demand, indicated by an increase in export sales from 320 units (2021) to 1,180 units (2024). The results of a simulated consumer survey showed that 78% of respondents considered the use of regenerative materials as a factor in increasing the product's sustainability value, while 72% considered ethical design to increase trust and safety. Internally, the product's contribution to the company's revenue increased from 8.5% to 21.4% during the study period, with a net profit margin increase from 12.3% to 19.8%. These findings indicate that regenerative innovation and ethical design not only enhance the product's ecological value but also strengthen its market position, as evidenced by a distributor perception score of 4.4 out of 5 and a second-place ranking in the eco-friendly baby product category in the Japanese market based on a demand index simulation.

Abstract

The development of the tourism industry, especially the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) sector, has encouraged the growth of the Event Organizer (EO) business in various cities, including Palembang. CV Reel Seven Organizer Palembang is one of the EO service providers in Palembang which has experienced a significant decrease in the number of events held over the past three years. This study aims to analyze the influence of price and Instagram social media on the decision to use services on CV Reel Seven Organizer Palembang. The method used is quantitative with a survey approach, where data is collected through a questionnaire of 63 respondents who are clients of service users in 2024. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with classical assumption test, validity, reliability test, and hypothesis test (t-test and F-test). The results of the study show that the price variables and Instagram social media partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the decision to use the service. The price variable has a more dominant influence with a regression coefficient of 0.776 compared to social media with a coefficient of 0.344. The results of the determination coefficient (R²) test showed that price and social media were able to influence the client's decision to use the services of CV Reel Seven Organizer Palembang by 85.8%, while the remaining 14.2% was explained by other factors that were not studied in this study. These findings confirm that a competitive pricing strategy and optimal use of Instagram social media can increase consumer interest and decision in using event organizer services. This research is expected to be a strategic input for CV Reel Seven Organizer to increase competitiveness through price adjustments and effective management of Instagram social media.
