Abstract

Child protection in educational settings is a crucial issue in creating safe and child-friendly schools. However, in practice, various problems such as violence, bullying, and discrimination are still experienced by students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of child protection rights in educational environments and to identify the challenges and solutions in establishing safe schools. The research method used is a literature review by examining scientific journals, international organization reports, and regulations related to child protection. The results show that although Indonesia has a strong legal framework, its implementation in practice is still not optimal. This is influenced by cultural factors, lack of educators’ understanding, and weak supervision and inter-agency coordination. Therefore, strengthening policies, improving educators’ capacity, and involving families and communities are necessary. This study recommends a more comprehensive and collaborative approach to create safe, inclusive, and child-centered educational environments

Abstract

The ability to recognize numbers among Group A children at PAUD Tgk Dikuta Banda Aceh is still relatively low, as reflected in the children’s limited ability to properly recognize numbers 1–10. One method to improve children’s number recognition skills is through playing the “smart pocket” game. This study aims to determine the development of children’s ability to recognize numbers 1–10 through the use of smart pocket media at PAUD Tgk Dikuta Banda Aceh. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two actions. Every cycle included four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, with 12 children serving as the research subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and performance assessment. The results of the study indicate that the application of smart pocket media can improve children’s ability to recognize number symbols 1–10. In Cycle I, the children’s abilities began to improve toward the “Developing as Expected” (BSH) category, although the progress was still gradual, with a success rate of 17% in Action I and 83% in Action II. A similar improvement was observed in Cycle II, marked by an increasing number of children consistently reaching the “Developing as Expected” (BSH) and “Very Well Developed” (BSB) categories, with a success rate of 58% in Action I and 83% in Action II. Overall, the percentage of success increased from 0% in the pre-cycle to 83% in both Cycle I and Cycle II, indicating that the smart pocket media is effective in facilitating children’s basic numeracy understanding in a concrete, enjoyable, and structured manner

Abstract

Children’s wellbeing is a multidimensional concept that includes physical, psychological, social, and cognitive aspects of child development. The family plays a central role as the primary environment influencing children’s growth and overall welfare. However, modern challenges such as limited parenting knowledge, economic pressures, and digital distractions often reduce the quality of family interaction and parenting practices. This study aims to examine the concept of children’s wellbeing, analyze the role of family in supporting it, identify effective family programs and policies, and provide recommendations for optimizing family involvement. This research uses a literature review approach by analyzing various scientific sources related to family roles, parenting practices, and child wellbeing. The findings indicate that positive parenting, emotional support, parental involvement, and structured family programs such as parenting education, health programs, early stimulation, and social protection policies significantly contribute to children’s wellbeing. Collaboration between families, communities, educational institutions, and government policies is essential to create a supportive environment for children. Strengthening family-based programs and improving parenting literacy are key strategies to ensure children grow in a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment

Abstract

This study aims to examine the urgency of developing emotional regulation in supporting children’s well-being in early childhood. Emotional regulation is one of the important aspects of social-emotional development that needs to be fostered from an early age, as it influences children's ability to recognize, manage, and express emotions appropriately. Children’s well-being refers to a condition in which children feel safe, comfortable, happy, valued, and able to establish positive social relationships in their daily lives. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing various relevant scientific references, including journals, books, and previous research findings. The results indicate that the development of emotional regulation plays a significant role in supporting children’s well-being, particularly in enhancing children’s emotional stability, self-confidence, social adjustment, and positive interactions with others. Therefore, emotional regulation development needs to be optimized through the role of parents, teachers, and a supportive environment in order to create holistic well-being in early childhood

Abstract

In the context of digital interactions and family support during the current social transition, child well-being is the subject of this study. Children's psychological, social, and emotional health can be affected by the development of digital technology, which has changed the way children interact within their families and social environments. A case study method was used in this study to understand children's experiences in using digital technology and the role of families in providing adequate support. Primary data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of children and parents. The results show that digital interactions have two effects: they can help children's social and cognitive development, but they can also harm psychological well-being if not used appropriately. It is evident that active parental involvement, appropriate supervision, open communication, and strong family support are crucial for children's health. Therefore, this study suggests that the role of families in accompanying children and the use of digital technology must be balanced to create an environment that supports optimal child development

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of online gambling on financial strain within families and its implications for the well-being of young children. The increasing prevalence of online gambling in society not only affects household financial stability but also influences the quality of parenting experienced by children. This study employs a literature review method by examining various relevant scholarly sources related to child well-being, economic pressure, and parental addictive behaviors. The findings indicate that parental involvement in online gambling can lead to economic instability within the family, thereby increasing the risk of neglecting children’s basic needs, both physically and emotionally. Such conditions have significant implications for early childhood well-being, including physical health, socio-emotional development, and a sense of security. Moreover, elevated financial stress can adversely affect parent–child interactions, resulting in less effective parenting practices. Based on these findings, it is crucial for multiple stakeholders, including families, educators, and policymakers, to enhance awareness of the detrimental effects of online gambling and to promote the establishment of a supportive environment that fosters the well-being of young children

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the relationship between authoritarian parenting and children’s well-being in rural village contexts. Authoritarian parenting refers to a parenting style marked by strict regulations, high levels of control, and minimal reciprocal communication between parents and children. Within rural communities, this approach is still frequently applied, influenced by cultural norms, inherited traditions, and socio-economic factors. The study adopts a qualitative design with a case study approach. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation involving several families residing in rural areas. The results show that authoritarian parenting is linked to various aspects of children’s well-being, particularly in emotional and social domains. Children raised in such environments are generally obedient and show a high level of discipline. However, they also tend to have lower self-confidence, face challenges in expressing their thoughts, and possess limited social interaction abilities. At the same time, some positive outcomes, such as strong discipline, are evident due to the strict parenting practices. Overall, the findings highlight that authoritarian parenting brings both positive and negative consequences for child development. It can be concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between authoritarian parenting and children’s well-being in rural settings. Children’s well-being is influenced not only by discipline but also by the strength of emotional connections between parents and children. Therefore, it is important to adopt a more balanced parenting style that combines discipline with emotional support to promote optimal child development and well-being

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly increased the frequency of device usage among early childhood. While digital devices have the potential to serve as instructional tools, the risk of negative impacts remains substantial without proper control. This literature study examines the critical importance of parental roles as technology mediators for children. Research findings indicate that active supervision, duration regulation, and the curation of educational content by parents are determinant factors. Through structured parental guidance, digital devices can be optimized to support various aspects of a child's development comprehensively

Abstract

Your Emotional well-being (child well-being) is a crucial foundation for children's learning success in inclusive schools, yet its implementation is often not systematically structured. This research aims to synthesize literature regarding the effectiveness of implementing a MultiTiered System of Supports (MTSS) or Three-Tier Support in ensuring children's emotional well-being in inclusive environments. The research method used is a literature review, analyzing 20 reputable scientific articles from Google Scholar, ERIC, and Science Direct databases within the 2021 to 2026 period. The results of the literature synthesis indicate that the tiered support model provides an effective framework through three levels of intervention: Tier 1 as universal support for all students, Tier 2 as targeted group interventions for at-risk children, and Tier 3 as intensive individual support. These findings confirm that tiered systems are capable of creating an emotional safety net responsive to diverse child needs, reducing anxiety levels, and increasing resilience in inclusive schools. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of standardizing emotional support protocols so that teachers can provide targeted interventions without compromising classroom inclusivity

Abstract

Children’s well-being is a multidimensional concept encompassing emotional, social, and psychological aspects of child development. In the context of early childhood development, social interaction and emotional support are two fundamental factors that play a crucial role in shaping the quality of children’s well-being. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the role of social interaction and emotional support in improving children’s well-being through a literature review approach. The method used is a systematic literature review of various scientific sources, including reputable international and national journals as well as academic books published between 2022 and 2025. The findings indicate that positive social interactions with parents, teachers, and peers significantly contribute to the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and a sense of belonging in children. Furthermore, consistent and responsive emotional support has been proven to enhance children's sense of security, self-confidence, and psychological resilience. These two factors interact synergistically in creating a conducive developmental environment for children. The study also reveals that the quality of interaction is more influential than the quantity, highlighting the importance of emotional attachment in sustaining children's well-being. In conclusion, social interaction and emotional support play a highly strategic role in improving children’s well-being. Therefore, collaborative efforts among families, schools, and the broader social environment are essential to create a holistic and supportive ecosystem for child development
