Abstract

Abstract: Effectiveness of Using Local-Based Thematic Primary School-Based Teaching Materials Through the Application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Learning Model for Student Learning Activities. In this study analyzed the effectiveness of local culture-based primary school thematic teaching materials through the application of the contextual teaching and learning learning model (CTL) to student learning activities. This research method is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods with a simple linearity analysis on the assessment sheet of teaching materials and observations of student learning activities. The population and sample in this study were all elementary school students in grade IV SDN 156315 Sosorgadong 5, Sosorgadong District, Barus Tapanuli Tengah, North Sumatra. Data collection techniques in this study were observation by distributing questionnaires to students. The conclusion of the research on effective teaching materials on learning activities is seen from the influence of variables x and y, namely the effectiveness of the use of local culture-based thematic teaching materials on student activities.Keywords: Local Thematic Teaching Material, Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Learning Model, Student Learning ActivitiesAbstrak: Efektivitas Penggunakan Bahan Ajar Tematik Sekolah Dasar Berbasis Budaya Lokal Melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL)  Terhadap Aktivitas Belajar Siswa. Dalam penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas bahan ajar tematik sekolah dasar berbasis budaya lokal melalui penerapan model pembelajaran contextual teaching andlearning (CTL)  terhadap  aktivitas belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode campuran yaitu metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif  dengan  analisis uji linieritas sederhana pada lembar penilaian terhadap bahan ajar dan pengamatan terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah  adalah semua siswa SD  kelas IV  SDN 156315 Sosorgadong 5 Kecamatan Sosorgadong Barus Tapanuli Tengah Sumatera Utara. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi dengan menyebarkan angket kepada siswa. Simpulan penelitian bahan ajar efektif terhadapat aktivitas pembelajaran dilihat dari pengaruh variabel x dan y yaitu adanya efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar tematik berbasis budaya lokal terhadap aktivitas siswa.Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar Tematik Budaya Lokal, Model  Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL),  Aktivitas Belajar Siswa

Abstract

Abstract: Teacher’s Role and Strategies in Enhancing Students’ Active Participation. Pupils’ active engagement in the classroom is important as implementing student-centered learning and increase students’ critical thinking. Dornyei (2007) claimed that the teacher is one of the factors that can influence students’ willingness to communicate. This study aimed to investigate teachers’ role and strategies in enhancing EFL learners’ tendency to talk. The researcher started to explore teacher’s contribution in supporting students’ self-confidence and effective strategies that could be applied in the classroom. This research used literature research methodology to explore the roles and approaches. The findings showed that the roles of the educators are as facilitator, and teacher’s attitude such as teacher’s wait time and techniques in delivering the message, influence students’ participation significantly during the learning process. Also, there are three techniques to reduce students’ reticence namely teacher-fronted strategy, facilitator-oriented strategy, and learner-oriented strategy. Finally, some suggestions have been remarked in the last chapter of this research. Keywords: Teacher’s role, Strategies, Active learners, participation Abstrak: Peran Guru dan Strategi Meningkatkan Partisipasi Siswa. Peran aktif siswa dikelas sangat penting dalam mengaplikasikan pembelajaran berbasis siswa dan juga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis. Dornyei (2007) menyatakan bahwa guru adalah salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keinginan siswa untuk berbicara dikelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peran serta strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa. Kontribusi guru dalam menumbuhkan motivasi siswa serta strategi yang efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan siswa akan dibahas secara terperinci. Metode yang digunakan dalam meneliti kedua komponen tersebut adalah studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga peran penting guru, yaitu guru sebagai fasilitator, penggunaan waktu tunggu dikelas oleh guru dan juga teknik dalam penyampaian umpan balik. Juga, terdapat tiga strategi yang dapat digunakan yaitu strategi teacher’fronted, facilitator oriented dan juga learner oriented. Selain itu, saran untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa berbicara dikelas akan diuraikan pada bagian akhir penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: Peran Guru, Strategi, Siswa, partisipasi

Abstract

Improving Teacher Competence During the Covid-19 Pandemic Through the Principal's Strategy at SMP Negeri 45 Medan for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The purpose of school action research is to find out the principal's strategy in increasing teacher competency during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 45 Medan, Labuhan District. The research method is descriptive qualitative research, the subjects in this study were teachers at SMP Negeri 45 Medan, Labuhan District, the data collection techniques were: observation techniques, interview techniques and documentation studies. The results of this study are: 1) There are 3 strategies for increasing teacher competence during the pandemic. First, coaching teachers by learning to use Google Classroom during a pandemic. Second, directives, namely sending links to seminars, workshops, training and others so that teachers can follow them. Third, education and training, namely increasing the competence and professionalism and quality of teachers. 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing teacher competence during a pandemic are: supporting factors, a) Discipline, by arriving on time to school, b) Providing motivation, by giving advice during meetings and outside meetings to attract teachers' enthusiasm, c) Awards, in the form of opportunities to take part in competency improvement training and the awarding of certificates. The inhibiting factors are, a) The teacher's indifference to their performance, so that the teacher teaches subjects that are not in accordance with their qualifications, b) the lack of teachers mastering IT, so that the teacher has difficulty operating the technological media used in online training and online learning. It is recommended that teachers can further improve their competence by participating in competency improvement training and also increase their enthusiasm and enthusiasm to develop and improve their own competence.

Abstract

Abstract : Application of TPS Learning Model in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Economic Studies Field Class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sinunukan. This study aims to improve students' understanding, improve learning outcomes and student learning activities. Subjects in this study as many as 27 people. Results: 1) Student activity data in Cycle I, among others: writing / reading (38%), working (34%), asking fellow friends (7%), asking teachers (11%), and irrelevant to KBM (10%). The students' activity data in Cycle II are: writing / reading (45,6%), working (33,8%), asking fellow friend (7.5%), asking teacher (7.5%), and not relevant to the KBM (5.6%). Student learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning model of TPS type in Formative I and Formative II showed 16 students were completed individually, while the class was not complete. In Cycle II, 25 students were completed individually, while the class was completed with the average of cycle I and cycle II are 75 and 80 and the percentage of classical completeness is 57.1% in cycle I and 89.2% in cycle II. Keywords : Economic Learning, TPS Learning Model, Learning Outcomes, Learning Activity Abstrak : Penerapan Model Pembelajaran TPS Dalam Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Bidang Studi Ekonomi Di Kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sinunukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, meningkatkan hasil belajar, serta aktivitas belajar siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 27 orang. Hasil penelitian : 1) Data aktivitas siswa pada Siklus I antara lain: menulis/membaca (38%), bekerja (34% ), bertanya sesama teman (7%), bertanya kepada guru (11%), dan yang tidak relevan dengan KBM (10%). Dan Data aktivitas siswa pada Siklus II antara lain: menulis/membaca (45,6%), bekerja (33,8%), bertanya sesama teman (7,5%), bertanya kepada guru (7,5%), dan yang tidak relevan dengan KBM (5,6%). Hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada Formatif I dan Formatif II menunjukkan 16 orang siswa tuntas secara individu, sedangkan kelas tidak tuntas. Pada Siklus II, tuntas secara individu sebanyak 25 orang siswa, sedangkan kelas adalah tuntas dengan rata-rata siklus I dan siklus II adalah 75 dan 80 dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal adalah 57,1% pada siklus I dan 89,2% pada siklus II. Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Product Quality on Purchasing Decisions at PT. Dinamik Sentosa in Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of product quality on purchasing decisions at PT. Dinamik Sentosa in Jakarta. The method used is explanatory research with a sample of 87 respondents. The analysis technique uses statistical analysis with regression testing, correlation, determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this research variable product quality obtained an average score of 3.43 with good criteria. The purchase decision variable obtained an average score of 3.80 with good criteria. Product quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a regression equation value of Y = 8.879 + 0.850X, and a correlation coefficient value of 0.775 or has a strong level of relationship with a determination value of 60.0%. Hypothesis testing obtained a significance of 0.000 <0.05.Keywords: Product Quality, Purchase Decision.Abstrak: Pengaruh Kualitas Produk terhadap Keputusan Pembelian pada PT. Dinamik Sentosa di Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas produk terhadap keputusan pembelian pada PT. Dinamik Sentosa di Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah explanatory research dengan sampel sebanyak 87 responden. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis statistik dengan pengujian regresi, korelasi, determinasi dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini variabel kualitas produk diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 3,43 dengan kriteria baik. Variabel keputusan pembelian diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 3,80 dengan kriteria baik. Kualitas produk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai persamaan regresi Y = 8,879 + 0,850X, dan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,775 atau memiliki tingkat hubungan yang kuat dengan nilai determinasi 60,0%. Uji hipotesis diperoleh signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05.Kata Kunci: Kualitas Produk, Keputusan Pembelian.

Abstract: Ethics as a Foundation for Professional Improvement of Education Personnel. Educators must also be able to master a lot of knowledge so as not to experience miss communication with their students. In addition, professional educators must also be disciplined in time. Like not arriving late and leaving on time. Also, a teacher should pay attention to his appearance while teaching. An educator must look clean and tidy so that students are also enthusiastic in participating in teaching and learning activities. Keywords: Ethics, Profession, Education Personnel Abstrak: Etika Sebagai Landasan Berpijak Dalam Peningkatan Profesi Tenaga Kependidikan. Abstract

Abstrak : Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPA Dengan Menggunakan Model PictureAnd Picture SDN 167 Sibanggor Jae. Peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwadengan menerapkan model Picture and picture dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswapada pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam materi Struktur lapisan tanah yang menyusundaratan bumi, kelas V SDN 167 Sibanggor Jae Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian initerdiri dari 2 siklus yakni siklus I dan Siklus II. Data analisis dengan menggunakanpersentase, pengamatan dan tes. Setelah dilaksanakan penelitian, diperoleh hasil bahwadari 21 orang siswa, jumlah siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan dengan KKM sebesar 70pada saat Pre-test tindakan hanya terdiri dari 4 orang siswa (15%) dan 17 orang siswa(85%) belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 44,75. Setelah pelaksanaan siklus I jumlahsiswa yang mencapai ketuntasan mulai meningkat menjadi 9 orang siswa (40%) tetapi 12orang siswa (60%) masih belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata secara klasiskal 62,5.Selanjutnya pada siklus II jumlah siswa tuntas semakin meningkat menjadi 17 orangsiswa (85%) sedangkan 4 orang siswa (15%) masih belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rataseluruhnya 82,25 namun sudah tergolong baik.Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar, IPA, Model Picture and Picture

Abstract

Abstract: Development of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Based Modules Through Experimental Methods on Colloidal Subjects. This study aims to (1) determine the level of validation of learning modules on colloidal materials developed based on CTL, (2) determine student responses to CTL-based learning modules through experimental methods on colloidal materials, (3) determine student learning outcomes on CTL-based learning modules. through experimental methods on colloidal materials. This study uses the method (R&D) with the Dick and Carey model at each stage (planning and development, validation, revision (modification), and product testing). The product developed has been validated by 3 expert validators consisting of 2 chemistry lecturers and 1 chemistry teacher. The average result of contextual-based module analysis (CTL) by chemistry lecturers and teachers that has been developed is ± 3.51. This is a very feasible criterion and can be used as teaching material. Based on the assessment of the percentage level of student interest in the module that has been developed, it is 88.67 (very high). Using a CTL-based module on colloidal subjects, student learning outcomes increased to 82.86% with a maximum score of 95 and a minimum of ± 70 and the posttest average of 83 > KKM score of ± 70. Based on hypothesis testing using hypothesis testing, it resulted tcount > ttable that is 11,794 > 1,690.

Abstract

Abstract: Improve Understanding of Operations in Calculating Subtraction and Adding Round Numbers with Muzax Media. The low learning outcomes of class VI SDN 104223 Bingkawan in addition and reduction of integer material indicate that students' understanding of the material is still low, one of the reasons is the absence of learning media for the material. The purpose of the mentoring and training activities is to improve students' understanding of the sum and counting operations of integers. This activity was conducted on April 9, 2019 until May 25, 2019 at 104223 Bingkawan SDN with pre-test and post-test techniques. After carrying out mentoring activities using MUZAX (Multifunctional Zahlen Box) media on addition learning and integer reduction for 24 students of class VI, there was an increase in learning outcomes by 75%.Keywords: Sum Numbers Addition and Reduction, MUZAX, Primary School Students.Abstrak: Meningkatkan Pemahaman Operasi Hitung Pengurangan dan Penjumlahan Bilangan Bulat Dengan Media Muzax. Tujuan dari dari kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa menganai operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat.Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada 8 April 2019 sampai 25 Mei 2019 di SDN 104223 Bingkawan dengan teknik pre-test dan post-test. Setelah dilaksanakan kegiatan pendampingan dengan menggunakan media MUZAX (Multifnctional Zahlen Box) pada pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat terhadap 24 siswa kelas VI, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 75% .Kata Kunci : Penjumlahan dan Pengurangan Bilangan Bulat, MUZAX, Siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract: Development of Elementary Mathematics Learning Media Books.This study aims to compile a textbook for elementary mathematics learning forstudents of the faculty of education in Medan State University. The elementaryschool mathematics learning media book was compiled based on the results ofobservations at the time of the lecture. It was seen that the learning resources usedby lecturers were dictates that had been compiled for a long time without upgradingthe material contained in the dictate so that it was in accordance with the curriculumcurrently in use. The specific purpose of this study is: to develop elementarymathematics learning media books that will be used by faculty of education sciencestudents in the lecture process to replace the dictates they have been using. Thisresearch uses Developmental Research. The subjects of this study were studentsfrom the Medan State University education science faculty. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini adalah: mengembangkan bukumedia pembelajaran matematika SD yang nantinya akan dipakai oleh mahasiswafakultas ilmu pendidikan dalam proses perkuliahan menggantikan diktat yangselama ini mereka pakai. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan(Developmental Research). Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa fakultas ilmupendidikan universitas Negeri Medan. Hasil yang ditargetkan pada penelitian iniadalah buku media pembelajaran matematika SD yang efektif yang nantinya akandipakai oleh mahasiswa fakultas ilmu pendidikan Universitas Negeri Medan,menggantikan diktat yang sudah lama dipakai.Kata Kunci : Buku, Matematika, Media Pembelajaran, Sekolah Dasar
